A Canadian Tourist Review: This is the local hangout, and for a good reason! You MUST buy the hummus salad. It is sooooo good. Also, buy a pitcher of the lemonade to save yourself on cup refills. It gets super busy in the afternoon so try and come early! Everyone is super nice and super friendly. The food is all brought out either instantly or within five minutes. We have eaten here twice in three days.

Lightest, fluffiest & really tasty hummus (for sure one of the best ones we’ever had) - both the normal and the mashabacha one. Falafel were extremely good, same goes for the lemonade. Cheap, fast eats at its finest! Long queue, fast sitting and (probably) table sharing in most cases. Good staff, and while the place felt a little noisy and hectic, that also adds to the experience! A great find!

Typically Arabic hospitality - people shouting, very welcoming and honest. The food was excellent even though I thought their foul need more salt. Their lemonade was the best I’ve ever had and the prices are fair. I would give more star if there was some kind of music. Highly recommend!

The service is very friendly and super fast. They are all so sweet at the restaurant and very helpful when we had to take the stroller inside as there were no tables available outside. We told the person it was our first time, he asked us if we had any allergies and ordered for us. Just be aware that their portion size is big and 1 order of hummus should do for a group of 4. As expected it was all melt in your mouth goodness! It’s just .4 miles ~9 minutes walk to the clock tower.

In my search for inexpensive, but not giving up to quality, restaurants, I found this place after finishing a walking tour in Jaffa. I ordered the masabacha (with egg) and four pieces of falafel, and a glass of lemonade. The masabacha was a great surprise, try it if you want something a bit different from regular hummus. Service is fast, and you can pay with card.

I got recommended by an Israeli friend. Local place with very good hummus. I was also surprised by how good their fries are! Never thought hummus, falafel and fries could be a good combo. Definitely worth to go

Everything here is just OK. The hummus is OK, not amazing, doesn't even feel super fresh, it's just OK. Same for the Masabaha. The bread is where they really fall short, I was shocked by the bread quality, was not fresh at all. They're also stingy about the falafel balls. I was surprised also by the small menu, we wanted to order some Waraq Einab and Tabula. Also keep in mind that this is not the original Abu Hassan hummus.

Won’t get better than this! Try the Mesabaha before you try the hummus. it is the best one you’ll ever try. Super fast service (we got our food in less then 5 minutes) everything is always fresh and the food is delicious. 5/5

Abu Hassan is the single best hummus restaurant in Tel Aviv. It is simple, quick, and amazingly tasty. The hummus is so tasty, in fact, that you’re unlikely to even notice the sub-optimal service. Don’t overstay at your tables though; when you finish, get moving so others can have their turn at hummus.

Great msabaha. Very creamy with the best chickpeas I’ve had. Very friendly staff as well.

A wonderful and humbling spot for pita and hummus. Everything tasted fresh, the service was great, and all just a short walk from the market and historic port. A must-visit for those who love this kind of food.

One of the best im Tel Aviv. I like to come for lunch on a day off, preferably on fridays! Family run business which is internationally known for their good hummus, and I can confirm!

This remains, in my opinion, the best hummus in the world. It is remarkably good. It is my favourite meal. Thank you to all the team there for making me this happy

Abu Hassan has a very intriguing and distinct Hummus that’s definitely worth trying if you’re visiting or you live in Tel Aviv. Their lemony flavour is different from any other hummus I’ve tried. The Masabacha (hummus with a lot of magic and amazing toppings) is a must with Falafel as a side. Their complimentary pita and onion are delicious.

My roommate recommended me this place after saying it was the best hummus in Israel. I ordered the masabaha, which is recommended, comes with 2 pitas. It was alright, nothing to write home about. May try the hummus before I write it off

Must eat in Tel Aviv! Delicious hummus that's worth the wait. We definitely enjoyed our lunch and felt kind of local while sitting together at a table with locals :) the atmosphere made it really special! It's not the place where you eat in silence and just leave ;)

5 stars for the delicious hummus and for the very local flavour. It's a kind of a fast food joint, with a very limited menu, but very tasty. Try the hummus, the masabacha or everything. Card payment is available. No alcoholic drinks in the menu. It closed at 4pm, so make sure you arrive their on time. Very decent prices.

Best hummus I ever had. Also, many people here told me this is the best (there’s more than one location for Abu Hassan). I got the spicy hummus. Came here with a friend who is a local.

A bit of the center, but one of the best hummus we had so far. Nice staff with a decent understanding of English helped us decide on the menu. Be sure to visit this place when in Tel Aviv.

I don't know how they do it, but the hummus here is twice as good as anywhere I've eaten in Israel and twenty times as good as most in the US. It's creamy and hearty and flavorful without needing to resort to tons of garlic or spices. You can eat in or get takeout. Amazing fluffy pita bread and lots of options to add to make it a meal.

Kind of crazy because of how full it is. We got to seat in a four chair table with other two people that were already eating there. It’s totally normal. They don’t waste space. We went there to eat the best hummus in Israel and we’re not disappointed.

👍 It’s been a few years since my last visit and the place grew a lot and is now a huge restaurant right on the port of Jaffa. The design is very impressive too. We arrived just before 1pm and had plenty of room, despite the fact that we did not have an order. Right after we sat down, the staff brought...
