Best Musaka i have ever had and I had many in Greece. Amazing salad too. Great service. Great location. So clean. People are so nice. Place is dog friendly too. I will be back on Sat to try your Chamin. Second trip - the Chamin base was good. Sadly the meat was so hard and there was no way to eat it. My dogs got all of it. Took one star off. Please taste the food before serving it.

loved the food here! the service was alright but they forgot one of our drinks. nice balance of traditional yemenite foods and some refreshing salads. definitely get the mezze platter. the chopped liver was probably the star for our party

Tasty, comforting nutritional food. The vibe was great, and quiet for the area and the service was excellent.

This tel Aviv restaurant deserves 10 stars! Thank you for being open on Shabbat. Thank you for having kids toys and coloring material. Amazing shakshuka, couscous - everything was so delicious. Amazing service too!

Very busy Restaurant and nice food. Food is really Authentic a mixture between middle Eastern and Eastern European food I would say. We ordered lasagna with meat which was a bit dry, meet couscous I had was amazing. Basically reminded me of home food. Since it was busy night service was very slow. We also got a complementary beetroot salad on the table to share. Would surely recommend for foodies.

I was looking for some home cooked healthy yet traditional food for the day! And google reviews saved the day (along with delicious looking photos people have shared of this place). So if you are looking for something unique, healthy, traditional and ofc delicious this is the place! We had a couscous with beef, zucchini dolma with minced meat filling (was not named dolma ofc) home wine. Everything was well prepped and arrived quickly. The staff is very friendly and can make a solid recommendation if needed 🫶

Quite average. First found out about HaMitbachon back in 2006. It used to on top of its game back then but far less now. Food has lost its wow factor. When I ate there the place was half empty and the staff seemed surprised to see me. The Shakshuka I had was really mediocre and not what I was hoping for at all. No richness, quite watery, couldn't taste the spices. Service wasn't great. Had to wait ages for them to remember me, actually seriously considered walking off. The average food and poor service combined makes this a place to steer away from in future.

Loved every bite! The music was a real treat to sing along to, the ambiance is beautiful with plants everywhere you look, and the staff was helpful.

WOOW! One of the best meal in my life...everything was excellent, from the chopped liver to the sweet potato pie...Salad is wonderful, with a hint of dill and lemon dressing... And then, lovely hot cider with cinnamon and cloves! Perfetto...tutto buonissimo... Greta, IT.

Authentic, homemade Israeli food inspired by the nearby colorful, fresh Carmel market. It feels like coming home for Friday night shabbat dinner in grandma's kitchen. Staff is patient and welcoming.

Favorite gem next to the shuk. Been going here for 9 years. It’s right next to the shuk but quiet and peaceful. There is a cute outside seating and inside. Best shashuka in Tel Aviv. Good music, always nice staff. Really reccomended

Hamitbahon is my go to spot for last minute lunch brunch ideas in the shuk. Tourists or friends in the area, food is good and reliable and they'll usually have a table on the deck. And they're open on shabbat!

We sat here on Friday, outside. There were a lot of vibrant noise from around, partying going on till she shabbat enters. The ice coffee was very good, recommend that. For a snack we shared a mushroom quiche with the side salad. It was nice. Service was friendly.

Really cozy terrace. The pictures in google don’t make justice to how nice the atmosphere is. It feels like a little oasis in the middle of the city. We had a very good shakshuka and cheesecake. The lemonade was also very good. The service was super nice and attentive.

Maybe one of the best Jewish restaurants in town. Nothing fancy here, just the tradition of the best dishes of the Jewish Diaspora. Schnitzel, Moussaka, Couscous, Meatball, Chopped liver, Cholent and many other. Everything is delicious, tasty, fresh. The service is outstanding. This cuisine will become the new trend.

I placed an order with them online. I got the approval for the order right away. Before I placed my order I checked the entire website for delivery time and couldn't find any. My mistake that because I didn't see a delivery time before I placed my order and after I placed my order I thought it would take 30-40 minutes which is about the average delivery time of most restaurant that are about 3-4 kilometers from my apartment. After over an hour of waiting close to an hour and 20 minutes I phones them. The customer service rep that answered the phone was VERY rude. I told him my address and he said that the delivery time is up to an hour and a half. I asked him where it says that, he said on the site. I told him to show me where and again he said on the site. I told him its been now almost an hour and a half is my order at least on the way? He said no. So I said I want to cancel. He said he can only cancel if I give him my credit card number again. I asked why he said that is the only way. I asked to speak to a manager and after 5 minutes another person came on the phone and told me they are backed up and that this never happens. The usual bull. I gave them my credit card and I hope they refunded me. All in all terrible customer service and terrible experience. I waited an hour and a half for this food and now after that time I'm really hungry and I don't have any food.

Nice home food, amazingly fresh vegetables (Greek salad got our hearts), reasonably priced Located close to the Carmel market, but it's not noisy inside

Warm atmosphere. Kind service. Great food. We enjoyed and recommend these three: - Couscous with beef - Sweet potato soup - Hot cider with cinnamon

Delicious food, fair prices (for Israel), good location and cosy atmosphere. Like nearly in every Israeli restaurant, I find the staff challenging. Often friendly and warm, but no idea of what service means whatsoever. Often an attitude and easily rude

Very yummie and friendly stuff Fantastic classic Israeli kitchen 3 types of shakshuka perfect and not to much hipster and no noise music ;)

Yummy food with something for everyone. We enjoyed a vegetarian meal though meat is on the menu. The salad had a very tasty dressing with fresh vegetables, seeds and walnuts. The mujaddara was flavorful with a bold taste of cumin. The stuffed grape leaves had raisins and a yogurt dill dipping sauce. They were unique and excellent! We enjoyed our meal and great service!

👍 It’s been a few years since my last visit and the place grew a lot and is now a huge restaurant right on the port of Jaffa. The design is very impressive too. We arrived just before 1pm and had plenty of room, despite the fact that we did not have an order. Right after we sat down, the staff brought...
