Restaurant Vegan restaurant

😐 It’s an experience… all vegan is great for us but the portions were ridiculously small. Rather insulting. Most of them the tasted good although nothing to blow your mind in any way… a couple weren’t even that. The service was good and the staff had more to say about the plates than there was actuall... People often mention vegan, great, experience, restaurant, dishes, meal, time, dish, menu, hungry,

Atmosphere is really great and special! Service is above the average. Drinks are great. The food was not so good - meal is not big at all, and quite pricey. About half of the dishes were repetitive (a vegetable and a salted ice cream served together). My vegan friends enjoyed the food, the rest had fun but wouldn't recommend it as a meal.

Most of them the tasted good although nothing to blow your mind in any way… a couple weren’t even that. The service was good and the staff had more to say about the plates than there was actually in them. The decor is either minimalistic too or just lazy white. And I guess it would have just been a nice evening if not for the crazy overpricing. I won’t go again but do it if you’re rich, full and vegan.

This was our second visit here, the first time we loved every single part of the meal, maybe with one exception, which is a very good ratio. This time unfortunately the ratio was a bit different.. it is understandable that in a 10 course meal you wouldn't love everything, but still it was a little disappointing. Although the different techniques that were executed in every dish were intriguing. The service and atmosphere were very nice.

The restaurant design and vibe are really great and the service was good. We were very excited about the restaurant after being told it’s the best vegan restaurant in Tel Aviv, our waitress told us it’s a fixed menu of 10 courses, costing 260₪ per person, we got the dishes one by one and some of the courses were nice but most of it was really small and over complicated or trying to be super sophisticated, we didn’t really understand what we are eating (flavors, textures…), we were hungry and the food wasn’t really satisfying so we ordered bread that was extra charge and really over priced. We came out of the restaurant still hungry and confused about the food and restaurant, for a dinner so expensive we expect so much more, we love vegan food but this restaurant makes it a bit too complex, not for everyone that’s for sure.

We didn’t expect much and also were quite skeptical about this place, but after thinking for some time weather we should go or not, curiosity took over 😅 From the outside this place is really easy to miss as it’s just a door in a white wall, interior is very chill and nothing fancy, bar area and few tables, ambient light and chill music. You can have table for 2 hours on a weekdays and 1,5h on Friday, we booked it in advance. They asked us for any food allergies/preferences before we started our 10 course dinner. Dishes were coming very fast, one after another and waiter (several of them) briefly explains you what you about to eat. First dish was raspberries with smoked blueberries in some asparagus green sauce - very fresh and cool combination. And from this one - every dish was super unique and very delicious. This experience makes you think of what are you eating, combination of textures and flavors and even temperature contrasts was simply great. It’s incredible how much you can do with just one type of vegetable - tomato dish was my personal favorite 👌🏼👌🏼 That’s definitely not a place to go for lunch if you are hungry - but for an exceptional culinarily experience and for fermented foods lovers to get some joy from flavors carnaval - just come with open mind and you will have a great time. Btw both of us (me and my husband) didn’t feel hungry after we left. Also I must say that all the dishes and ceramics they were served on were super beautiful

Went to this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday (which is vegan). The atmosphere is great. Personally, me and my friends (beside the vegan one), did not enjoy the restaurant and ended up paying a lot of money while our stomach felt pretty empty at the end 😊. Very recommended for vegan, not sure I recommend it for the rest.

The king is naked! I know it’s not popular thing to say while everyone is gushing over the strawberry asparagus soup and Jerusalem artichoke ice cream but the menu is rubbish. Horrible ingredient combinations, microscopic portions, unintelligible explanation and simply unappetising and all at a ridiculous gourmet price. Stay away from this attempt to mock the diners with this ‘creative’ farce.

I don't care if you are vegan or not. You HAVE to try Opa. It's not just a really great concept, it is executed excellently. There is no menu, everyone gets the same courses and each one is more inspired than the last. Each dish is completely unique and the flavors are impossible to describe. That being said, they do a great job not to make the meal so obscure that it is inaccessible to the average palette. The staff are very nice, the service is great, and they all are extremely knowledgable. I can't wait to go again.

Creative, innovative, interesting, exciting food. I'm not vegan and was amazed how rich a dinner can be using so few ingredients in so many techniques. Each dish was a journey. Highly recommended!

This Vegan Restaurant located in downtown Tel Aviv is a Surprise! 10 Course Tasting menu-each course shared by 2 people. The creative chef follows the “Root to Stem” Philosophy where every part of the Plant is used-some very interesting Tastes-That you won’t Find elsewhere. Good job Chef 👏🏻👏🏻

Wonderful experience. It's fun to eat each serving, and get an explanation only after the plate... Enjoyed very much the fact that no dish tries to recreate non-vegan food.

If you want one main plate and hate sharing, this place is not for you. However, if you want to have your senses stimulated in an incredible experience, sharing food with those you love, I highly recommend. It’s an amazing mix of flavors and textures in beautiful small bites that still left me full. Also, when compared to experiences at other places, the price point is really very fair for what you get. I did not miss meat one bit. A true experience for an amazing meal or celebration!

We arrived at the restaurant right on time, and they let us in 20 minutes late because other people sat at our table. In addition, the meal is portions for couples - it should be noted that the size is extremely small for 2 people, and because we were an odd number, my little brother who was the fifth person got half portions! It was ludicrous. Because of hunger, we asked for another slice of bread (because we each got half), and until they agreed they still charged us 25 shekels for the slice. We left the restaurant starving, and it wasn't really tasty either. Not recommended and not at all worth the high price.

That was a great experience!!! Maybe the place is expensive and the dishes looks like you'll stay hungry after them , don't think like that :) it's worth every shekel, the dishes are beautiful and the tastes are very special, the staff explain you what the dish contain when you receive it to the table. Very Recommended 😁😁😁

We did a 10 curse meal for a couple, it was a great experience. Very different and interesting. Some dishes were amazingly tasting others a bit weird, but overall very recommended.

Wow where to start? Ok this is my third time visiting OPA but slightly different was this experience. This time the owner /chef shirel Berger wasn’t there this time and her sister Sharona was there ( omg they look alike 100%) Service was excellent! All the staff knew the menu inside out and gave us a great recommendation for wines. All the food that came out looked liked shirel was their plating plate by plate BUT she wasn’t. That mean another way to say that your restaurant is operating properly. First dish was the cucumber and OMG that was genius🤩 The eggplant, potato’s foam and bread, corn Shnizel, Jerusalem artichoke desert. Every bite was the perfect balance between art-flavour-creativity. So over all shirel your sister Sharona represented OPA Aboyne and beyond 🤪 Thank you for another special dinner. Will see you soon next time when we come to visit . Liran & Ayelet from dallas ❤️

Awesome vegan place with extremely tasty, special dishes. Although the dishes are small, you'll get a 10 course menu and won't leave the place hungry. The dishes were beyond our expectations, the staff super friendly, the wine menu diverse and also the atmosphere is nice and inviting. We will come again 😁

Terrible terrible food. Almost none of the dishes were remotely tasty. It's also very expensive but that was not the issue. There was one exception - a mushroom that had a crazy meat like texture. But that was it. It's a fixed menu of about 12 dishes and one was good. Considering the wonderful raw vegetables they use, this is just wasteful and sad.

Very interesting, unusual and strange tastes and combinations of products but I can't say it was tasty. Extremely overpriced. Obscenely small portions. One-time experience. No reason to come there again.

👍 It’s been a few years since my last visit and the place grew a lot and is now a huge restaurant right on the port of Jaffa. The design is very impressive too. We arrived just before 1pm and had plenty of room, despite the fact that we did not have an order. Right after we sat down, the staff brought...
