Our first impression was very good, they were friendly, helpful and keen to secure a good deal and haggle. However, this all turned south when we arrived at the airport to go home, and went to the VAT refund desk to find that the person we had spoken to Eitan's son, had incorrectly filled the form out. It was clear this was no mistake but rather laziness since he had signed over the area to stamp the form rather than stamp it. We called Eitan Jewelry immediately to try and get a resolution since we were over 400 ILS out of pocket. They tried to suggest they would give us a gift when we next came to Israel. They refused to pay us the money owed nor would they post a gift since we live in the UK. Another example of Israelis giving fellow Jews a bad name, I expected better... AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Originally the experience was wonderful. We thought we had finally found a really good jewellers in Israel that we would frequent at as and when we were in the country. Unfortunately, upon arrival at the VAT refund desk we found out that Eitan had blatantly chosen not to stamp the refund form, with full knowledge that he was supposed to, by signing over the designated area. After a lengthy back and forth over the phone, he did little to resolve the situation and suggested that he would give us a ‘gift’ next time we were back. The more likely scenario will be that even if in the coming year we were able to make it back there (which is unlikely), he would likely have ‘forgotten’ about it and no gift would be given. This massively overshadowed the experience we had with them originally and has cost us over 400 NIS that we did no plan to spend. My advice would be to go elsewhere where they likely pay more attention and care to their customers. There are plenty of other lovely jewellery shops up and down the same road.
