Bush Canteen, Shiashie

Restaurant Cafe Cafeteria

😐 Bush Canteen offer a variety of local dishes in a good location. A word of caution, though. Their soups and stews contain an unreasonable amount of pepper. I wouldn't recommend Bush Canteen for those who cannot stand hot, peppery dishes. Definitely not for children. People often mention local, good, soup, dishes, delicious, service, nice, Ghanaian, Nice, fufu,

The staff and waiters are well dressed, patient and helpful. The food is always fresh and exactly what is ordered. It appears they are gathering a following since people arrive close to an hour before they start serving food. They can be serving drinks and snacks while waiting for the food to be served.

Standards keep dropping. Heavily diluted soups. Hope they take note.

Quick, straightforward, authentic Ghanaian dishes. The meals are freshly made daily and it's a good place to mingle with other local diners.

Best, juicy, moist snails and craps in the divinely tastiest green soup ever. I can’t find enough words to describe the green soup at bush kanteen. Trust me. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Not bad. I had Banku while some of my friends had jollof rice. Whatever swallow dish you have they’ll give you more than enough soup. I didn’t get to taste the jollof rice. The second day we went there was on a Saturday. We were shocked when they said they don’t serve jollof rice on Weekends.

The location was in a nice area, when arriving the place was nice and airy, and simple but welcoming decor. Family friendly. The food was veryy good and filling. The customer service was good and could be better. But one thing I was expecting if it was called Bush canteen I was expecting decor of bushes and less trees but I guess that's my own view

Bush canteen is gud not as great as it was but it has set such a high standard that its becoming its own enemy Coz of its traditional originality Salted beef was out of stock, tuna or opoku was also out of stock so had to take others but Bush canteen is Bush canteen

It is not good waiting past the opening time especially when you're hungry. But in all, you will lick and and lick hands after eating. Nice food joint.

The place is nice and clean; the service is not as good but okay. The food, I tried fufu and the green soup, it was okay and I also tried the banku with crab, that was good.

Just leaving bush canteen. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Waiters and waitresses target specific customers to attend to and ignore other customers. I witnessed a few customers walk out of the restaurant because no one would attend to them. No one bothered to take our food or drink orders. Food is overpriced for such horrible service. Never eating here again.

Ambience could still do with a bit of work especially given the food isn't cheap. I mean plastic plants in a place called Bush Kanteen??!

I've just eaten here today for the first time. Its clean, calm and presentable. The food was lush, had the banku and palmnut soup with assocorted fish*2 with drinks for £70. Better then other causal eateries in Accra

Food was okay. For an average person, you will need about ¢60 cedis for your fufu and goat meat.

A typical African restaurant. One of the many dangerous habits I noticed in this part of the world is the hot foods that carrying in a thin plastic bag. The world around us making a regular campaign against the plastics used to carry food items, unfortunately, this message has not yet been reached here or the people reluctant to follow...

Food was excellent. Small portions on the carbohydrates (omo tuo, fufu, Tuo zafo) but the meat, fish and soul portions were huge. Don't be fooled, this place isn't cheap but it's worth the experience. I was there with fwmy around 3.30 pm on a week day and the place was packed! Took about 45 minutes to get our food. I think they can do better with the way they have customers order and pay but overal it was a good experience. I will.recommend it

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the clean and tidy atmosphere. The restaurant was impeccably organized and it was clear that the staff took great pride in maintaining a welcoming and inviting space for their guests. The food itself was absolutely delicious. I ordered a dish that was cooked to perfection and the flavors were spot on. The portion size was generous and I left feeling completely satisfied. But it wasn't just the food that made this restaurant stand out. The service was top-notch. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to make recommendations based on our preferences. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good and neat place to eat away from home. The combination of delicious food, impeccable service, and a clean and tidy atmosphere make it a standout dining destination.

Bush canteen serves homemade Ghanaian delicasies. Undoubtedly, their dishes are quiet tasty.my only reservation is the hall is too open. There should be rearrangement of the furniture to ensure little privacy and coziness.

  • 3/5 Emmanuel Selorm D. 2 years ago on Google
Heard about the place. I tried it. I was not really a fan of the fufu. Didn't feel soft enough. The soup I was served that day didn't feel fresh enough either. Things are a bit on the expensive side over here because of the location but that's expected

Food price 6/10. Not too expensive. Time and queue: 7/10. Takes abit before food comes after you order at the counter. Strange. Location- 5/10. Also very humid in there.

This place is awesome! If you have an addiction for local dishes, then this is your best place: fufu, banku, kokonte, ampesi, waakye, omo tuo, just to mention a few. The ambiance is good and the customer service is so on point; you're literally treated like a king or queen (not kidding)! Give it a shot!!

Good food, infact, real food is served here. My favorites here ... Fufu and goat light soup with some dried fish, against some okro and ginger, or Banku and okro stew, against welley, crab, ngrab, and that fish ... It is always good. Don't miss a good lunch here. Great price, polite waiters, and nice , neat surroundings.
