A very historic place to visit. There are different places to visit within this place. From caves to caves with interesting histories of the Shai People. I deem it right if you tried to visit this place as early part of the day so that you enjoy the total life experience. Enjoying the sunset here is very great experience to enjoy. I have been here at noon day once and once in the evening. I never regretted our night visit. Thanks to the team that make everything possible for us to have a very nice experience here.

They asked us for 410 GHS for a very poor round. And then asked for more tips to complete the trip. Most of the grass burnt. No animals found. Bad smell in the cave. No safety precautions.

Tourism Authority is the Head office of Ghana Tourist Board who over see the development of all UNCO approved attraction tourist sites.Since Tourism is one of our source of our GDP this office and other offices in the regional captials help in the development of the amernities, accessblities for guest or tourist that visits the country, they also work hand in hand with the Imirgriation and the hotels to give them information about all guest or tourist into the country and the attraction sites. If you are in the country or want to visit Ghana when you get to their website you can get the best information that will you to what to eat, where to sleep, where to go,who to contact and also when is the best time to visit any of the attraction sites in themes of the season. I recommend their website to you when you are visiting or already in town but need extra help.

Been to Shai hills a few times but never went to the museum! So glad that I did and I would recommend My guide for the short tour was Emefa (pictured below) and she was incredible; knowledgeable with amazing customer service Animals likely to see/encounter are antelopes, baboons, zebra and ostrich Activities include hiking, biking, wild camping, luxury camping, rock climbing, bird watching Likely issues to have at Shai Hills would be transportation and food. It’s best to drive there and take your own food & water. Trust me! There is a recently open local drink bar on the premises so that’s good. All in all, it’s worth a visit

The site is very safe. As we went through the trails and sites, safety align and directions are well marked. If you like to play with snakes, you might want to visit there. The new museum for the history of the place and SHAI people is interactive. At the caves, the tour guide helped us to feel the need for that save haven. It's a cool place to visit. There is an archeology excavations going on. If your are interested in African history you visit. This a nice place but don't too much there. They are now developing their safari drive

Nice place to experience nature. They have 3 different locations each with a different track. Expect to take a road trip using your own car , so be careful of the car you are using as you might go through rough road. Don't expect to see wild animals, a zibra, ostrich and baboons are only what you can see.

It's an nice place to see and learn much about nature and the indigenous people of the land. However, if you enjoying hiking, the hiking experience at Shai Hills might be boring. But I think it's a cool place for tourist. And oh, their camp site for stay overs too are quite an experience.

Shai Hills is a great place to visit, it is best to go there from August to December but NOT during the Harmattan (January to April). The reserve is packed with a lot of history, the rangers are so helpful and are good at their job. The reserve is quite large so you will need a car to travel around, however if you don't have a car there are taxis available that the reserve offers you (I used this option- prices available in the photos below). There are different animals to see mainly antelope, baboons, ostriches, zebras and pythons. The trip to the caves provides a great hike and cardio lol. Generally I enjoyed the trip, spent 2 hours at the reserve and I went with someone else so it was a shared experience. Definitely recommend.

(Translated by Google) You have nowhere to go during the epidemic? Fear of being infected in densely populated cities. At this time, you can come here to get close to nature and unzip it. There are countless baboons and antelopes and ostriches and zebras imported from foreign countries in this forest (ostrich and zebras are in cages and are not allowed to come into contact with them) Playing in the area, climbing, camping, etc. are charged by the hour The starting price for foreigners is 50 CCID per hour, and the following hourly rate is charged at 10 CCID, camping charges will be discounted. Recommend to go after 1pm, there are few people and the sun is small (Original)

It was a little bit rainy so we couldnt get in with the car because it was mudy , hike takes 9km so nope not for me without the car. We took a walk to see zebras , ostrich there were literally 3 zebras and one ostrich far away ! Like people who goes to zoo would have seen better .. The museum has actually skins of animals so not so interesting. There are baboons at the entrance of the "park" and thats it . My guide was not also one of the best. For me not worth visiting I have lost one hour of my life lol .

We spent the night in one of the luxury tents and we have really enjoyed it. It was peaceful. However, a few things to mention, they requested that we check in only at 4pm because they need to sanitize the tent, however, the showers weren't washed (soap scum everywhere), we found someone's eyelash in the soap holder and hair in the bin. They also don't provide you with towels or coffee. The duvet does not have a cover, which beats the purpose of trying to be covid-friendly, and the outside cushion covers on the chairs have never been washed. Other than that, it was lovely. Spectacular views. We went for a lovely guided tour but don't expect that they guide knows the tipe of birds in the park, it's either the 'blue bird' or a normal hawk.

Got the chance to visit thebplace , but it was on a rainy day , I cried 🥲🥲🥲 The reserve is very huge, just from the map at the entrance , we can see it, you might need more than on e hour to complete what you would like to see The animals can be seen throughout the reserve , I did not get the chance to see antelopes nor baboons, but I saw the zebras which makes happy The caves and the mountains looked great , I wanted badly to gake some pictures there but because of the rain , going there would have been hard for the car that would get stuck in the mud. The staff there is very energetic and welcoming From the entrance to the guides to the receptionist to the museum people I did enjoy being taught at the mini museum and , being nicely treated by our guide Daniel if my memory is correct We even had the chance to be given a time to go back there with the same receipt we paid the first time because they noticed we did not enjoy the place because of the rain, that is very pleasant to be treated as such Thank you, great place with great people
