Could do better!! Nothing extraordinary. First, you would have to pay an entrance fee of ghc20, which is fair enough. Prices of beverages and dishes are reasonable. Waitresses there are helpful! However, the toilets are terrible though☹️ and a lot more can be done with regards to keeping the beach clean!!

This is a nice, neat beach, appropriate for a beach party, picnic or games. The day I went there, a gate fee of GHS 20 ($3) was charged. There is accommodation on the beach front. There are 3 caravan-like structures. I learned more are being constructed. Military security is assured.

Laboma Beach was very cool and enjoyable. Many of the beach clubs were clean and accessible. I really like how’s it near a main road but the drawback is the entry cost just to go enjoy public place. Then you have to pay for food, drinks and the washroom.

It is just a few meters from the labadi beach. It is less crowded than the labadi beach and has a bigger car park. The gate fee is super affordable but items sold at the beach are very expensive

First of all, I loved it!!! Okay so you have to pay a gate fee before entry. It’s really calm and relatively clean. You can take your own foooodd too!! You just have to buy something from the vendors to use their tables and chairs. It’s a nice place to spend your afternoon with friends or alone if you want. Really peaceful..

I thought once you pay gate fee you can sit anywhere you want. But you need to buy drinks and food from the bars around to get a seat. 🤦‍♀️

Nice place to chill, water is decently clean except for the odd garbage thrashing in the waves. Biggest con is the people who run the beach are extremely incompetent. No matter how short the line for entrance is, you will always be wasting petrol & time waiting an ungodly amount of time for the staff to take payment & hand over the tickets due to the fact that out of 3/10 employees will be processing guests tickets while the other 7 sit on chairs, converse with each other while simultaneously watching the absolute chaos go down. When the rope is opened to allow your vehicle entrance, you will be stopped every single time by another employee or military guard asking if you paid the entrance fee… On holidays they will oversell tickets, the beach will be way too crowded, not enough seating or canopies to rent. Prices for the food is a little expensive & the quality of the kebabs & indomie was less than mediocre. Bathrooms also charge 2ghc per use. There is nowhere to throw away garbage, by the end of the night the beach is completely littered with glass bottles, styrofoam containers & plastic/paper. No one cleans up the smaller trash in the sand, you need to watch where you’re walking or you will injure yourself by stepping on kebab sticks, toothpicks or other sharp objects. The ladies at the bar are great, very kind & hospitable. Their customer service is fantastic. The men selling horseback rides do not feed their horses or provide them water, I have witnessed 2 of them whipping their horses in the face when they stop walking due to exhaustion. Very upsetting sight. Had a young vendor sell us a beach ball for 20ghc, only for him to come back 15 minutes later & tell us to give him an extra 15ghc. Very unfortunate to have had these experiences although the beach has so much potential to be one of the best beaches in Ghana. Hopefully the owners take things more seriously & put in some work to fix these discrepancies.

Laboma Beach provides same feel and vibes as its twin, Labadi Beach (now Vienna City Beach) but in a more open and spacious atmosphere. The early hours of the day are best for mediation and beach sporting activities (the national Beach Soccer Team trains here) as it has less people and is relatively quiet. It is a great space for private group picnics and hangouts from noon to night.

The best place to stay in Accra! 10 min to the airport, 14 min to the city centre and you have your private cabin directly at the beach front. Would definetly recommend for a chilled time with friends and love ones. Events like birthdays, honeymoon, engagement parties and picnics are also allowed but would need to be discussed prior. I felt very safe because on the 24hourd military patrol and occasionally police patrol. With all these I was even more impressed that I was also assigned a designated night security just for the cabin.

Clean beach, lovely location. That's why I love this place. Security personnels patrol around the beach. There are various vendors serving drinks and small chops, Kebab joints and serenading music across the shore. The beach is safe for swimming. You pay a gate fee at the entrance. A good location for a picnic, Bachelorette, old school gathering and others. Seats are available and you can move them closer to the water if you want.

The place was very clean and conducive around last year, during the Afronation event. I was quite impressed but I went there again just last week Saturday and the place was in total dismay. I was so disappointed and realized the place was clean for just last year’s Afronation Gh. The place was so scattered and there were plastics here and there; in the sea itself and on the shores. People couldn’t even take a swim...I ordered for potato chips and chicken and it was that bad for me, really regretted.... Their washroom is a big disappointment, Not even a bowl of water to wash your hands after, what in the heck are they using those washroom usage fees for??!!! I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, you can look elsewhere, honestly.... You can still enjoy the horse riding and some average drinks when you go....Can’t believe this beach is popular due to Afronation yet very dirty. They need to work things out, the management or whoever that is in charge of the place. They could have maintained the serenity from Afronation. Well, at least, I got to feel the sea breeze, that’s quite satisfying.

It should be recommendable for weekend vibes with the family and loved ones at the ocean. I wasn’t happy about the high rate of plastic waste at the shore, the food there is that bad, I don’t know if is because Of where I ordered it, the authorities must regulate the caterers there properly.

Though I am biased when it comes to beaches because I just love the ocean, I believe this place needs to upgrade a lot of things for me to want to go back there. First and foremost bathroom facilities!!! I could smell pee from the carport and since the are various businesses on the strip, they could come together to improve it or have their separate ones. The music is too loud and almost like they are competing with each other. The ocean is probably upset with all that noise, lol. Food and drinks are good and abundant 👍🏿.

A decent beach with less rubbish then some of the others in Accra. Also less sellers at this end of the beach then the Labadi end. The beach club there is very sexy but also with sexy prices. The cover for the beach entrance was 20 Cedis. You can sit on the beach with your own food and drinks but if you sit in the chairs you will be expected to purchase something small for the pleasure of sitting. The beach club does not allow your own food or drink.

Nice spot to unwind on a weekday. Gets quite busy during weekends.

  • 4/5 Afia O. 3 years ago on Google
Laboma is clean. The water is clean the sand is same. Unlike other beaches, the allow you to come along with your drinks and foods if you want. This makes it ideal for get together, reunions, picnics, etc. You can purchase swimsuits around if you did not bring one along (although I can't guarantee of the quality and health condition of the said swimsuits). Like any other beach, they sell drinks and other foods so getting drink at the beach won't be a hustle. I highly recommend for hangouts and get togethers

It was my first time there and I had a swell time with family. Very chilled out. Not too many people for a Sunday and the vendors were very friendly. Had to pay ghc20 to enter though. Didn’t expect that. But the calmness of this beach is so great. Worth visiting and will definitely go back there.

A cool place to relax. The beach is relatively clean and the view is refreshing. The entry fee is pricey though considering that guests have to pay additional fees for using the washrooms and urinals. An additional cost is demanded for using tissue paper in the washrooms too. Guests can bring their own food and drinks. However, it is advisable to come along with your own tables and chairs since the available ones there belong to the vendors who charge an amount. Alternatively, you can use the tables owned by the vendors once you buy drinks up to a certain threshold. Generally, it was an average experience.

I visited Laboma beach in Ghana, Accra last month and I was blown away by its beauty and uniqueness. It’s like a scene from a fantasy movie. The beach is easy to access by car or bus from the nearby town . There is a parking lot, a cafe, and a souvenir shop near the entrance. The beach is not free to enter and but open all year round. We even had a clean up exercise there which was really fun. Visit Laboma and thank me later 😉

Labadia Beach offers a vibrant yet complex experience. Despite the Sunday afternoon crowds, numerous beachside restaurants provide comfortable seating and umbrellas. An array of activities, from horseback riding to ATV rides, adds excitement. However, the beach's cleanliness raises concerns, with debris in the waves hindering the overall swimming experience. Persistent trash and bustling crowds may distract, but if you venture to the quieter "Lovers Cove" at the far end, tranquility awaits. Merchants, though present, are less aggressive. In essence, Labadia Beach offers a mixed bag—crowds, trash, but also pockets of serenity for those willing to explore.

Nic cool place, entrance charge 20 Ghc

  • 1/5 Oya O. 1 month ago on Google • 27 reviews New
Even though they charge an entry fee of 20 cedi per person, the beach is dirty, full of trash - there are bigger pieces like bags and bottles, but the sand is full of micro plastics and smaller thrash like cigarette buds. It doesn't look like anyone takes case of it and it's nobody's business. On top of that, there's a sewage river between Laboma and Labadi of significant size and "scent", that runs into the ocean. You'd expect they would take care of it since two of Accra major beaches are on both sides, but the don't. People from the restaurants are friendly and welcoming though, and the bars look quite nice (apart from cigarette buds in the sand and empty bottles). Also, there are no palm trees on the beach.

Great for all things. Not a fan of the gate fee of 20ghc, but I understand its purpose. There's a vast selection of restaurants and lounges to enjoy or simply walk along the beach. A lovely place for all types of people and all activities.

  • 3/5 Kormi G. 4 years ago on Google
The beach is clean on a normal day. 10 GHc is charged per head entry. No good eateries in here however so it is advisable to come with food. Drinks are however affordable but the selection is limited.

There was ample seating inside (but not ample parking outside) and the best church choir in the balcony singing like angels. However, 3 strange things struck me as weird. 1.) The area near the bathrooms is under construction. Yesterday the water was flowing. Today the water was not flowing and the stench from 2 of the 3 ladies toilets were full of solid waste (poop) was awful. They need a restroom attendant at all times. 2.) I did like the multimedia approach: placing hymns, scriptures and names on the walls for all to see. However, all the church members and visitors were singing in the local language and English at the same time. This was not pleasing to the ears. 3.) And finally, the pastor on both days requested for extra monies to finish the building project that they have started. He came down to the front to be closer to the congregants. He started with 20ghs and people came. HE went to 10ghs and people came. He went to 5ghs and people came etc. On today, he started at 50ghs and a lady came and the preachers (numbering 6 who were seated behind him all came one by one), then he called 20ghs and people came. He called 10ghs and people came. I find this practice to be in poor taste. I don't know why certain churches are putting persons on the spot by calling out denominations of money. Is this right?? Am I wrong??? I am mystified by this practice of fund-raising in God's name to finish a building project. Why not just call for a fourth offering and stop with this 'calling of Cedi notes'? Isn't this just putting persons into categories? What is the point? Just ask for another offering and pass the hat. Simple. Or better yet don't take advantage of church members (who the majority are females) or visitors.

Very neat and tidy Environment. The beach is very clean too. It gets a 4 star because the bar itself isn't up to the other competitors. But as far as the environment goes, it's a nice place to be.

I definitely a labadi beach person. I love the loud music and people watching. It's a nice way to have fun and enjoy yourself. However, every now and then you want to go to the beach and enjoy the ocean, the quietness, meditate, do yoga or read a book or whatever. The place to be is Laboma beach next to Labadi beach if you do not want to drive out of Accra. My new found favorite

I took my girls for a day at the beach. My older girl loves it, baby not so much(yet). I chose a weekday because... well COVID. there were no meals being served however the vendor we got our drinks from offered to get us food from Labadi beach. The children's playground apparently only opens on weekends so my girls couldn't play there. A horse handler came by and we got some photos and my daughter got two short rides. A few people arrived while we were there but never got close to us since there was no crowd. We didn't swim but we did wet our feet and then go through the super hot sand to get back to the car. Great experience altogether. I really look forward to seeing the place at a busier time once "the outside" and large gatherings get safer.

It was really great for the event I went for and it was clean. A clean beach is a dime a dozen and I appreciate the effort they put into making it that way.

  • 3/5 Kusi P. 2 years ago on Google
Pleasurable place. I don't like the fact that, you've to be charged ¢20 for entry to the place.

  • 4/5 Baaba N. 2 years ago on Google
The 20 cedis taken before entry should be properly documented and receipts given to clients.

  • 4/5 Charlotte F. 2 years ago on Google
Nice place and ambience. It's in the centre of the city and easily accessible. The bonfire is lovely. Management needs to buy non-smoking wood for the bonfire considering the fact the burning takes place close to where people are seated.

This is my love in Accra. When I don't feel like going out of town, this is where I hang out. Clean, peaceful... Much better than other places. 20ghc entrance

The place even though some parts are under construction, is neat and an open area where you can get a place to sit and enjoy the sea breeze. I will definitely come back very soon, because I enjoyed the place.

  • 4/5 Austin B. 1 year ago on Google
It was a nice reprieve from the heat. Very chill vibe with people playing soccer/futbol. Plus, it was easy to find and less crowded than Labadi. You can bring food, but kebabs and drinks are available for purchase.

  • 5/5 Adrienne S. 1 year ago on Google
Quieter, calmer version of Labadi. Don't be afraid to wade through the channel. I'm in love with the beaches 😍

  • 5/5 Kofi K. 1 year ago on Google
Laboma is my home a place of peace and quiet for me, currently the best beach you can get in Ghana and beyond... Beach front is super awesome and sand is clean wow, serene is just amazing.... For your corporate and family hang out this is the best place to be....

  • 2/5 Fiifi Q. 1 year ago on Google
A rather cool place to hangout but for some unnecessary costs at the entrance sometimes. You would mostly be made to pay for tickets of a program bein' held there with the promise of food or souvenir when you get in, only to be given a bottle of water which is even of an unknown brand.

  • 4/5 Nana Yaw O. 1 year ago on Google
Best for family outing. Not so crowded with a clean beach

  • 5/5 Sebastian K. 1 year ago on Google
Have a fresh feel of the waves from the Gulf of Guinea. A cool environment for relaxing, party hosting and many more. Fine beach sand makes a lot of memory from building sea castles, semi ponds and much more. Rates are affordable and enjoyment is at its peak. Hygienic khebad and food stands. Welcome to Laboma Beach!

  • 4/5 Ernest O. F. 1 year ago on Google
Looks good and a fun place to be! It has a number of spots to sit and eat something and quite good enough compared to other beaches along the stretch.

  • 4/5 Litika V. 1 year ago on Google
The beach view was amazing. There are a variety of bars you could hang at which was cool. But would recommend visiting on a weekends if you like the crowds. Or if you prefer being alone during the week
