My first time of visiting the Labadi Beach Hotel made me fall in love with the place. I now understand why they charge so high. You get value for your money and nothing else.

Had a really awesome time. The food was good, and the private beach space was nice. Watching the sunset at the beach โ›ฑ๏ธ is always good. The atmosphere was great. Also went to the spa and got a great Swedish massage. I am excited to go back. The customer service was great.

This place is exceptional! It's a Hotel with a history, they keep the facility up to date with a blend of vintage and modern looks. The staff were excellent in their service delivery, from reception, concierge, restaurant and others. It's waterfront view and services makes a perfect place to relax as well as for business. I really enjoyed staying at Labadi Beach Hotel.

Gives you access to the full stretch of the entertaining La beach where you can relax with family and friends or by yourself. Enough parking if you have a car. Typically respectful and friendly staff. Short of 5-stars because the restaurant kept messing up orders and were super slow in delivery. Front desk staff had amazing customer service. The room are okay for the price.

I really had mixed feeling about this hotel. It is located right on Labadi Beach, which is the main reason while I booked at this hotel. The hotel has direct access to the beach, and that's when I got disappointed. Labadi Beach is dirty, with trash everywhere, so as soon as you see it you want to go back into the hotel. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and very well kept. There are areas that are unused, probably as a result of lack of guest due to Covid. It has two beautiful swimming pools, pool bar, gym, and tennis courts. It also has a spa. The rooms are big and clean, but the mattress in my room was uneven, and should have been changed years ago. Something you don't expect from a luxury hotel with a very hefty price. The linen and toiletries were nice. We had their breakfast buffet daily, and the food was excellent and the staff attentive and efficient. Over all service at this hotel was excellent. Still, the disappointment of the beach and the quality of the bed makes me believe that the rooms are extremely overpriced. Without the beach, the location is also not very good, since there is nothing much in that area and it's far away from food, restaurants, entertainment, and tourist sites.

I love Labadi beach hotel, every time I come to Ghana I always find myself there. Itโ€™s a fantastic place to just sit & relax, with fantastic amenities available. I usually go to spend the day, the customer service is ALWAYS top notch! The last time I was in Ghana in April-May a lovely server named Clement assisted me, he was absolutely FANTASTIC. His customer service was impeccable! He so accommodating, professional and friendly. He definitely made my experience even better. So thank you Clement!

Wowww, what an experience! This is one of the most intriguing places I have visited. The beaches are amazing, the food is out of this world and the friendly smiles of locals is a beauty to behold in the morning. Being my first 5 star hotel experience, I was totally wowed. I am definitely going back sooner than later.

This place is an ideal place for tourists to lodge. It's welcoming environment has a touch of nature and antique feel. Very serene and peaceful and good place for a vacation, honeymoon and a break from a stressful week.

One of the best hotels in the Ghana. The facilities are complete, from tennis courts to swimming and gym; conference facilities to excellent accommodation. If you love the beach, itโ€™s well catered for. There is buffet for non-hotel guests as well and the food is too good. If you want to sit outside, you can enjoy at the Lagoon bar or eat at the beach.

Labadi Beach hotel is a great place to be in Accra, just by the beach side. It is excellent for family holiday trip as well as big conference rooms for official engagements. The rooms are very neat and well maintained. The pool side open bar ensures you have your favorite drinks while relaxing outdoors.

It is the only decent beach resort in Accra (what a shame and wasted opportunity). It was 5 star a while back and that shows. So here goes; beach location but no views from rooms. Most staff was nice but some walked right past you (memorable were Theodora in the restaurant, Peter at Bell Desk) Beach chairs and beach staff mostly nice but slow. Spa was a good experience. Rooms and hotel overall needs a renovation and cleaning needs big improvement in the rooms (we watched water stains from glasses for days on the night stand, so clearly not wiping down surfaces in these Covid times and glass was under the bed). TV needs more channels or smart TV where you can stream your own entertainment. Pool area is cool. Breakfast is good and so is Sunday Brunch!! They should build a mid rise in their parking lot with ocean views and it would sell while they renovate the old buildings.

Music blasting into wee hours! As I stated in my earlier review the hotel is beautiful and staff are really all extremely pleasant and polite. No help in getting the noise down after midnight - music from parties on the property blasts throughout the grounds m. There is no escaping it. Ear plugs were of no help at ALL!!

Couple of friends and I came here for their buffet breakfast and the spa. Both were AMAZING. Highly recommended. The spa in particular was so good and professional! The pool is fun! They do have their own private beach and itโ€™s really nice to chill there under some coconut trees BUT, be aware that the beach is dirty the closer you get to the water. However, thereโ€™s fun activities. You can ride Motor bikes in the beach and they make nice bracelets for you too.

The Sunday Buffet was amazing. My first visit to Ghana in 2009, I visited here and was amazed. Back again in 2021, simply amazing. The service was excellent. The variety of salads, Ghanaian dishes, meats along with sides were plenty. Everything I ate had amazing flavor.

Went there to have some time at the beach. Itโ€™s peaceful and nice. Customer service 8/10. You have to pay to sit at the beach( I donโ€™t remember the amount) but apart from that itโ€™s a cool place. Loved the cocktail.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The service is great at the main dining hall/restaurant, with breakfast having a wide variety of options to suit everybody. Sunday's at the pool are very busy, it makes a great afternoon outing anyone wanting to come relax. The service is not always great. I do think the hotel is over-priced. I generally do not have any complaints during my stay.

I really enjoyed my stay. The food at the buffet was so fresh and delicious!! I miss it. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was mosquito repellent, plenty of bottled water and a mask in the room. Unfortunately, the beach was closed due to COVID but that's not the hotel's fault. I'd recommend staying here. The reason I didn't give my rating 5 stars was because I didn't use the bathtub because brown, muddy water came out. Maybe it hasn't been used in a while, I don't know.

Standards are slipping. Food used to be great. Not so much now. Service is average. Staff argue with each other in front of guests. Older reception lady can be quite sombre. She has forgotten how to smile. Mosquitos will snack on you when you are outside after 6pm. Rooms are average. TV channel choice is desperate. TVs are old. The carpets in the lounge area have their own ecosystem. Its definitely not worth 245 dollars a night.

I really wanted to like this hotel but unfortunately it didnโ€™t live up to expectation. The positive thing is the front desk staff were lovely and helpful and access to the beach was great! Downside is that rooms were outdated, small, and toiletries were subpar, the carpets in the hallway had a funny smell, and the pool water wasnโ€™t clean.

Family friendly. We spent the Easter weekend there. Julius was very professional and friendly booking us in. Rooms were neat and up to expectations. Downsides; prepare for insect bites because of lagoon, baby cot took ages to arrive even tho it was included in the reservation, service at the pool side bar completely neglected. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay. Food was great, house keeping was marvellous.

Stayed here for my first visit to Ghana - Pros - comfortable rooms/AC, good location, breakfast, wifi Cons - service overall is hit or miss. In some instances great, in other instances far below expectations. Also, several areas around the hotel consistently smell like sewage, including right by the pool area which is not at all pleasant and makes you not want to use the pool facilities. I've seen these cons reported by several others with management replying with plans/commitment to fix them, but I confirm they are still issues....

The sports bar is beautiful. there are television sets at different angles so no matter where you're sitting; you're not going to miss your match. There's a restaurant in the bar and the food is actually quite good. However, if you don't like smoke, please don't stay long ๐Ÿ˜น. There's a bit of smoking for those who like to and so if you do, then way to go. The Waitresses are quite lovely too.

I went to Labadi beach hotel to have dinner before I went to the beach. They have a wide variety of food options. The quality, quantity and pricing made the experience worth while. My group and I enjoyed the food as well as the World Cup game that was on the TV.

Iโ€™m currently here and it is not going that well. Room is good, but if you have children that sleep in the day the loud music from some rooms may be a problem. Undercooked eggs for breakfast which Iโ€™m glad I spotted before I ate, and problems with room service (although initial service was pretty quick and food is generally ok), follow up service is problematic. The mark of a good hotel is dealing with issues because they do occur and I accept that. Had to go to reception to sort out the fact that I had extra items and no drink. I was then told I needed to go to the restaurant to get my own drink. The idea that I had already paid a tray and service charge, and I shouldnโ€™t have to walk anywhere was lost on the staff. Three more days of thisโ€ฆnot looking forward to it. But if gets better Iโ€™ll amend the review. UPDATE final night. So the room service picked up and the customer relations manager was really helpful. Itโ€™s 23:42 and my windows are shaking from the wedding music (my room is one of the furthest away) ๐Ÿ˜‚I appreciate itโ€™s Saturday night. But this is a hotel. I think if youโ€™re hosting these events you have to bite the bullet on accommodation. My review was moving from 2 to 4 until this happened. Iโ€™d never stay here again as I understand the weddings are a frequent occurrence here.

Ok, its hard not to like this hotel - except the price. Food was excellent, service was on-point, rooms were comfortable. Friday night was a bit loud pool-side. Never seen so many foreigners in Ghana before (maybe the airport). Still, well done LBH.

I ordered the beef steak, mashed potatoes and fried rice. Worst meals Iโ€™ve ever had from a top rated restaurant. The steak had a really funny taste to it, dare I say it didnโ€™t taste like beef. The mashed potatoes was horrible, lumpy and tasteless. The fried rice was bland and tasteless. The mushroom sauce and gravy that came with the meal is nothing to write home about. The customer service is not all that. The food here is certainly not worth the price.

Always a good & relaxing experience at La Beach Hotel ...only issue I had 2 days ago was the fact that the bar attendants simply refused to reimburse my change after a meal with all kind of tricks... quite strange ... made a complaint to the manager and she quickly rebuked them and resolved the issue... she was very professional... this one time event won't change my excellent view of the Hotel hitherto...

I really enjoyed my time at Labadi Beach Hotel. The buffet is amazing. The sights are great. And the WiFi is fast and good for work or liesure. Because of Covid the beach was closed, but we still enjoyed walking round the hotel grounds. Everything here is top notch and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a place to stay while in Accra.

Restaurant service was terrible especially during lunch. It was late and there was no coordination between staff on table reservations and a seeming lack of concern from waiters for their guests. Quality of food has also dipped since I was last here. Running on a big name and not much else these days.

The service is extremely slow. If you dont make noise, they don't take care of you at the bar. Also there is no a good bartender. Coctail menu is weak. I'm totally disappointed in this hotel. The rooms are clean and nice and the gym does the job. Also walking distance to the beach.

Everything we ate was delicious, ambiance was great but the food took very long to come on Sunday. I also realized after we left that my chicken salad order which I placed after this food arrived never came after almost two hours but we had paid for it. Dj Icecool? makes the poolside a fun vibe but if you are hungry on a Sunday prepare to wait.

Love it. Workers are quite helpful and professional. I was overheating at the entrance gate and the guard gave my daughter and I water when we asked. We booked a stay here during the New Year right after our wedding looking forward to a nice beachside honeymoon. Unfortunately we ended up contracting covid right before our stay. I sent the hotel both of my positive test results and they refused to refund a single penny of our money - which amounted to over $1,000 USD. I am shocked and appalled by the hotel's shameful practices. Not an ounce of sympathy or understanding from them. I called back several times during the days we were intending to stay and the front desk said they were fully booked with NO availability. It sounds like they didn't lose any revenue but are perfectly fine taking advantage of sick travelers who contracted a viral disease. BUYER BEWARE. I would implore you to assume that this level of apathy and indifference extends to guests staying on property as well. What a dreadful experience all around - I am telling everyone I know to avoid this hotel in Accra.

One of the oldest and still holding beach front hotels in Accra Ghana. It boast a sandy beach and well placed for any visitor to Ghana to enjoy. Good and well equipped rooms, good food, nice staff and spacious conference room for meetings. If you are in the Restaurant, you will not miss the smile of Josephine even if she is wearing a face mask. The chamber maids deliver good service and make your room comfortable. The swimming pool is clean and nice but I must warn you, being by the pool in the evening must be done with some mosquito repellents.

To whom it may concern, I went to visit the Labadi beach pool and dined in. The service was very poor. I waited for an hour for my order to be taken even after asking to serviced. After being serviced, I waited an additional half an hour and finally the food came and it was not great. I had the alfredo pasta with bring rolls. Both were not so tasty. The spring rolls were greasy. I had to find the waiters to get serviced to order a drink. I would not return here.

I have always liked Labadi especially the food. The rooms are decent; I specifically like their bathrooms. I had a few tour clients stay there and they were impressed. I mentioned to the front desk lady that a couple I had staying there were on a honeymoon and when they got back from our tour, there was a surprise for them in their room, that was nice. ๐Ÿ™‚ I had a bit of an accident before getting to the hotel, and when the security checking temperature noticed, he ushered me to the security room and administered first aid. It was so thoughtful of him. I do think itโ€™s time for a bit of a renovation though . The whole place just looks dull, aesthetic wise. I used to be so excited by this place and now itโ€™s underwhelming.

Yesterday, I was so hungry and craved for food from Labadi beach hotel! I couldnโ€™t drive there because the traffic was heavy so I called and spoke to a staff called Kenneth Obeng (I hope I got the spelling right.) at the Sankofa Restaurant. He said they donโ€™t deliver food because they had no delivery guys around. However, he said he was going to make a call and find out if a friend of his could help out with a delivery personโ€™s contact and then call me back. Honestly I didnโ€™t think he was going to call me back. Surprisingly he called back and said he found a delivery who could deliver my food. He politely took my order. He called me back with a different number when the network proved challenging while we were talking. Dispatch guy arrived at the hotel for pick up and we exchanged on Kennethโ€™s phone. Cut the long story short, my food was delivered on time. I called Kenneth back to thank him and he said I could call the restaurant anytime I needed something and theyโ€™ll gladly serve me. Thank you Kenneth! God bless you And thank you Labadi beach hotel for such great service especially when good customer service in this country comes off as a luxury.

I am still currently there, and the service here is top notch. All the staffs are so accommodating and welcoming, always ready to serve and attend to your needs. Rooms are properly cleaned and you don't have to worry about your luggages being tampered with or stolen. All the staffs at Labadi Beach Hotel are well trained and good at what they do. The only error for me was, the food wasn't spicy enough. Their meals are nice but if you are a pepper lover like me ๐Ÿ˜‚, better carry your spice along when going there, I wanted to swim but there was no store at the hotel for me to shop for swimsuit, so take yours along ๐Ÿ˜. Labadi is beautiful. Do cisit when you're in Ghana. You just might be lucky to visit the buffet. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Quality of food is not great and is very expensiveโ€ฆ it takes a long time to prepare a set meal and when it arrives is very cold and bland. The buffet option is very limited.. I Not enough staff and their card machine doesnโ€™t work so always make sure you have a cash. My friends and I were not impress and very displeased with the service and experience at the restaurant especially giving the fact that they pride themselves on been one of the best place in Ghana.

Was in Ghana with my son for holidays. My son enjoyed his stay. Amazing place to stay. Clean environment, good food and the staff members were respectful and kind. Surely recommends.

There is a long-standing charm to this hotel that makes up for what's missing in terms of modernization. My room was comfortable with all the essential items: tv, refrigerator, iron, safe etc, and it was cleaned daily to keep it in pristine condition. The onsite restaurant had a good variety of meals, and the pool was a great place to relax. Nighttime entertainment at the Lagoon Bar was particularly fun during the weekends.

Labadi Beach Hotel will always be a major landmark of Accra for me! It was my very first experience of Ghana years ago. On this trip, a friend of mine took me to have brunch there and I realised things had changed for the better, the hotel appears to be well managed. Our food took a long time to come through but other than that, it was so good to visit again!

Not bad at all, well maintained. A very period feel; old hotel with a deliberately cultivated Victorian/Edwardian colonial look- plenty of wood, fairly dark interiors in the lobby, reception, restaurant areas. At least two swimming pools and a private beach (for hotel residents).

Located just on the beach, the hotel have comfy and clean rooms. The employees were helpful too. Very nice place for a relaxing stay in Accra

It has a welcoming atmosphere. We had a lovely conference there and the receptionists are really helpful. I'll definitely recommend it to those who'd like a sophisticated and professional experience. But I don't know much about their room services to review on. But it's by the seaside!

Just visited here to see the hotel, beach and drink coffee. The hotel is setback from the beach. The beach was filthy and nobody was swimming in the ocean. The small lagoons, don't know if they were artificial or natural, separating the hotel from the beach were nice. The pool and pool areas appeared clean. The inside of the hotel lobby was dark with lots of dark wood and furniture. The A/C was sufficient, but not cold. The service for coffee and water was excellent, but the Americano coffee wasn't good. The plastic tamper evident band was removed before we received the bottle, so we had to hope it was a new bottle of water. Based on my quick visit, I rate this below La Palm Beach resort next door, but the vehicles in the parking lot were more expensive and numerous. The road in front of the hotel was in very poor condition as are most paved roads in Accra and Ghana based on my observations.

I had the pleasure of hosting a birthday party at the Omanye Hall. The staff were professional and the food was great. The ambience was amazing. I was in all awed by their services. The only challenge is that the halls are fully booked so you would have to stick to your allocated time so you do not inconvenience the next occupants. In all, it's a pleasant experience.

Excellent service today. I cannot fault this hotel. My father hosted his 80th birthday here in the conference room with 40 guests which, included using the buffet fully. Delicious food and excellent customer service from everyone involved. The room was spacious, setup beautifully with all the crockery, plates , glasses and nice to have privacy. Guests can then walk through the private door to the restaurant and have whatever they like. Starters, mains and desserts were top class. Every team member was excellent. We also enjoyed their supplied birthday cake. Well done. This was real luxury

I stood for 4 nights there. The territory is quite large, if guest insist, he can even get the good room facing the lawn and palms. Food at breakfast is delicious, and coffee is good. However, staying in the breakfast room makes your clothes absorb the smells of frying bacon, eggs, etc. The largest problems are staff honor and safety. A lot of people from the street, not staying in the hotel, are coming to the pool and to the bars. They smoke, listen to their own music, leave glasses on the swimming pool, and swim drunk. I faced aggressive behavior from such visitors. Staff do not do anything and prefer to interfere only when it comes to a conflict. Then the staff asks the customer, who pays a lot for the room, to leave that place. I have contacted the management, and after 2 days, the GM generously thanked me for my feedback about the ways to improve the visitors' experience, affected by the staff attitude. If the main reason of visit is the sea shore,be advised the waves are huge and the rocks are hidden below water, so the security asks you to go to a beach nearby, which is "safer". But there you will also have traders, horses races, ATVs.

This was a high end well run hotel that was the beggining and end of our 10 day tour to Ghana. The rooms were modern and the pools and bars were good. Service was good. It was very busy on the weekends, a little less busy during the week.

We didn't stay at this hotel we just visited for the day and paid to use the beach. Excellent facilities for sunbathing on the beach or by the pool. The beach by the hotel is free of local traders and there is a security gard and staff to bring drinks and food. Use of umbrellas and sun loungers is free plus you get the use of a beach towel. The bars, restaurant and snack bar are all of very good standard and there was music in the evening.

Still one of the premium hotels in Ghana. It has maintained its service of excellent for over 20 years. Our tourist from Haiti had an exceptional and hospitable service. A place Iโ€™d highly recommend.

Nice hotel by the beach in Accra. Their service is impeccable however the rooms could use an upgrade. Very pleasant staff and service. The meals are also quite good.

Rooms are old, needs a renovation asap. Hotel is located at the beach side. Breakfast was good. But not worth for the price you pay.

This could be a 5 star hotel if they kept the beach clean! The hotel is great, the staff wonderful and the food superb. But they control an area of the beach that you cannot access unless you are a guest, yet they don't keep it clean! All it takes is two dedicated staff with rakes to do so, so I cannot understand why they devalue the hotel by not maintaining their section of the beach ๐Ÿ˜ก.

Always my go-to place when I just want to relax at the beach or take my kids on a mini vacation. Staff are super friendly, food is great, rooms are clean and room service is on point. Friday nights at lagoon bar is always epic with Dj Black with good food, drinks and music!

Spacious room with a greenery view. Service staff at the front desk could be more flexible. People are very hardworking here.
