The
Bamboo
House
offered
great
modern
design,
the
kids
loved
the
pool,
is
aesthetically
pleasing
and
located
in
a
good
area.
The
in
house
staff
are
great!
However,
we
were
disappointed
in
the
lack
of
basic
functionality
in
the
house.
We
shared
this
with
the
owner
and
a
few
challenges
were
addressed
before
we
left.
To
begin
we
were
surprised
to
learn
that
we
would
be
charged
an
extra
fee
of
$1300
USD
cash
to
host
a
gathering
at
the
property
despite
the
whole
compound
being
rented
exclusively
and
paid
for
in
full.
There
was
nothing
listed
on
the
site
that
there
was
an
extra
fee
to
have
a
gathering.
We
were
further
upset
that
the
cost
had
to
be
paid
in
USD
cash.
We
weren’t
given
any
contract
and
the
additional
arbitrary
fee
didn’t
provide
anything
such
as
chairs,
tables,
etc.
Given
the
short
notice
we
had
no
where
else
to
host
the
gathering
and
had
to
pay
the
additional
money
for
the
house
we
already
paid
for.
Gatherings
held
at
property,
had
not
been
clearly
stated
on
the
site
as
an
“additional
service”
that
requires
last
minute
payment.
This
needs
to
be
clearly
addressed
and/
or
changed
on
all
advertised
platforms.
Sadly
the
rooms
lacked
functionality.
The
hot
water
was
not
working
in
two
of
the
rooms.
Plug
sockets
not
working
in
most
of
the
rooms
with
side
lamps
in
bedroom
and
living
rooms
with
no
sockets
or
even
light
bulbs.
In
a
few
rooms
the
mattresses
were
as
hard
as
a
rock
and
very
uncomfortable
to
sleep
in.
There
were
dangerous
exposed
wall
and
celling
sockets.
The
bathrooms
lack
screens
and
water
splashes
everywhere
and
the
floor
becomes
dangerously
slippery.
In
some
rooms
there
were
broken/cracked
toilet
tank.
Additionally,
slow
drainage
in
some
of
the
bathrooms
so
much
so
that
multiple
people
can't
shower
in
succession.
There
was
a
putrid
smell
from
the
downstairs
bedroom
bathroom
which
does
not
have
an
extractor
fan
or
an
actual
window
for
any
type
of
ventilation
whatsoever
which
is
highly
unsanitary
and
leaves
the
guest
breathing
in
sewage
fumes.
However,
the
odor
was
addressed
a
few
days
before
we
left.
The
kitchen
lacks
enough
chairs
for
the
large
number
of
guest
the
home
accommodates.
Additionally
the
refrigerator
is
an
inadequate
size
for
the
home
and
doesn't
get
very
cold.
Kitchen
microwave
does
not
work
properly.
Overall,
generally
a
lack
of
attention
to
detail.
Curtain
rods
coming
out
of
wall,
walls
needed
to
be
patched
and
painted.
Lack
of
storage
in
rooms.
No
dressers.
Not
enough
hangers.
Some
of
the
linen
sheets
has
holes
in
it,
little
brownish,
and
has
a
musty
odor.
The
house
has
a
lot
of
potential
but
sadly
did
not
meet
our
standards.
