Might be exaggerating but this hotel has the cleanest washrooms I've ever seen! Their buffet is top notch and their catering services are to die for! In all, a serene environment and beautiful interior. Loved it.

My stay was great until it wasn’t. Apart from the slight dampness in the rooms which I could overlook, the security guard was rude to my friend and I. We came in late and he said to us, we don’t allow your type at night. I found that very ridiculous as he didn’t even know we were paying guests. After reporting to the manager, he seemed shocked but proceeded to still up sell me about their loyalty program in that moment which was not very intelligent. The space is mostly well maintained that’s the common areas but I’d hesitate to spend so much to be treated that way again.

My preferred hotel to recommend for my small groups (less than 10 rooms multi nights) that come in from the diaspora. Booked a handful of rooms this year, the individuals enjoyed their stays. Events were held in nearby locations for change of ambiance. Easy access to various key places and restaurants in the city. Used the on-site transportation services as well. Overall my guests have been pleased.

First time staying in a Mövenpick, we enjoyed our stay overall in a safe, clean environment. The booking was not cheap, but you are limited on decent hotels in Accra. Some things to note: - front desk were helpful to a point but one day they told me incorrect information - chocolate hour was sadly a waste of the time, which given that it’s such a big thing for Ghana seemed really minimal - upon checking in we weren’t asked to provide a credit card for a deposit for extras, so when we had drinks by the pool they hounded us throughout the day to go and pay what we’d had - not very 5* ! The airport shuttle was very handy although upon arrival we were put in a cafe/bar not knowing how long we were going to stay and ended up buying drinks. The rooms themselves look fairly worn and tired, could do with some upgrades.

Had a wonderful week and experience at the Movenpick in Accra! The room and bathroom was clean and spacious. Special thanks to housekeeping who were absolutely wonderful, to Patrick from room service who is excellent, and to the Manager who let me borrow an outlet converter when mine broke. I also appreciated the late checkout to coincide with my flight. Overall this is a wonderful hotel and I'm so glad I stayed at the Movenpick!

First time visiting and their service was excellent. From security check point to reception 😊. Had the opportunity to join their open movie by the pool. Nice experience. You can try it with that special person. You can book online at a cool price. Mostly on every weekend guys. Pamper yourself once a while 😊.

My one-night stay at Movenpick in Accra, Ghana was exceptional. The hotel's elegant ambiance, attentive staff, and comfortable rooms contributed to a memorable experience. The amenities, including the pool and dining options, were top-notch. The only reason it's not a perfect 10 is a minor issue with the front desk forgetting a request. I also had an exceptionally enjoyable experience during the Marine Ball. A special thank you to Theophile, who was our rater. His attention to detail and customer service was unmatched. Overall, a fantastic stay, and I would highly recommend it.

It has everything a 5-star hotel should have. Comfortability and quality service are their hallmark. Loved the interior décor at the reception and the beautiful atmosphere at the poolside. The security system is good and feels safe to be there. A top-notch pharmacy on the premises for any unexpected illness for first aid. A huge car park.

Compact and well maintained Loved it here. The rooms are compact and clean and a spacious outdoor area, especially around the pool area. Take sometime to relax at the pool area over some drinks . Very friendly staff. Room service however takes too long and sometimes they tend to mixup orders . Make sure to order well in advance . It is also in the city center so quite a bit of distance from the airport, so make enough time .

I cannot say enough positive things about the quality of service at the Movenpick. I have some dietary restrictions and was worried about how I would safely eat while on a business trip to Accra. So, I left a note in my reservation, not expecting much. The moment that I checked in, the restaurant manager gave me a call and started to make a plan. I stayed at the Movenpick for about a week, and the food was DELICIOUS and completely safe. They went above and beyond to welcome me, and take care of me - the level of service is just incredible. They even made me Ghanaian specialties to help me try more local food. To Belinda and the rest of the staff working at the Sankofa, thank you so much. This was a unique and amazing experience. And the rest of the hotel is pretty great too!

Enjoyed my stay at Movenpick Accra. The staff was wonderful from the time of arrival where they insisted on getting our luggage to our rooms immediately without us lifting a finger to the daily breakfast buffet welcoming me back. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything needed. If a request was made, it was immediately fulfilled. The Lobby was a nice meeting spot, a huge pool and the bar/lounge was a great calm-down spot in the evenings. I liked the location, highly convenient to my needs. But overall, the cleanliness and staff is what would bring me back!

Super hotel in the heart of Accra. This hotel is super stylish and the service is top notch. The rooms are large and very comfortable. I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to a suite which was massive. The restaurant is high quality and offers amazing breakfasts. The gym is well equipped and the business centre is great for hosting business guests.

Lovely hotel in Accra. Located opposite the national theatre and is very central. You can Uber out or get your own parking space. The first floor at the Emporium is also an office for UK TLS visa services as of today (21.06.22). Enjoy a hot cup of latte with red velvet cake or get some nice local meals. 😉

My wife is currently at your facility with a group. Her room was booked over six months ago. When she arrived she and a fellow traveler were place in a small room with a full size bed and a rollout cot. While the others in her group were placed on high floors with executive lounge access she and her fellow traveler were placed on the first floor. All paid the same rate. Management's explanation is that another group arrived which had booked 44 rooms but needed 66 and all other rooms were taken. This is not acceptable. A refund is in order.

I stayed here for business at an executive suite one week and I can say the surrounding and overall hotel configuration was good, however the service was abysmal and far from 5 star…which is also why the low review. First off in Ghana if you are a smoker you are considered an “evil” person (I’m not joking I was told that by the locals) in this sense the security staff at the hotel will constantly harass you to get you out of the sight of the locals and force you to go smoke behind the hotel and in all these weird corners of the surroundings, no joke it’s really weird and rather disrespectful to be honest, especially when you consider the amount you spent to stay at an executive room. Secondly in Ghana it gets dark around 5pm because of the geolocation and then they close the outdoor pool and surrounding areas even though it’s 30 Celsius outside and humid they won’t let you use the outdoor pool past 5pm…it’s absolutely ridiculous. To make things even worse the security staff patrol the pool area with a vengeance and will harass you off the premises, you can’t even be around the outdoor pool it’s absolutely ridiculous, these guys have zero concept of business and all they do is harass the patrons around the area. I have never seen such terrible service. Perhaps I can understand not allowing someone in the pool after hourse but you can’t even sit on the chairs surrounding the pool it’s off limits and the security will come and make you leave…beyond disrespectful! This place needs a serious staff retraining program in customer service and proper hotel service. You can have a good hotel in a good location but if the staff cannot run it, it’s still going to be a trash experience. Half of the staff should be fired and the other retrained in order to have a proper running experience. I will not stay at this place again as they don’t appreciate foreign business at all!

Situated within the enclave of Accra city in a very soothing and comfort landscape area. Full of aesthetically pleasing artefacts that resonates the taste of clients of all spheres. Accessible to all clients especially with fairly high economic standard. Enjoy the breezy-coozy aerated outdoor around the fresh pool. Experience the vast and spacious environment for touring and customer exploitation. Have a taste of good customer services provided by staff that leaves a dazzling unending stay. Next time you are in town, know any other humanitarian service provider other than the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel👌👍

Hotels provide accommodations for individuals away from home. Movenpick hotel is located in the business district of Ghana's capital (Accra). The location of the hotel on the main road from Accra through the presidential palace area to Airport makes it easily accessible for individuals to access from the airport. The hotel also has very beautiful environment, smart looking workers. The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, a spacious car park, a great reception area, and furnitures to suit the entire facility. The security at the hotel is of high concern hence cars a scanned at the entrance to ensure no harm comes to occupants of the hotel. The entire facility is neatly managed and always kept neat. A visit to Movenpick Ambassador hotel will give you a beautiful experience away from home.

Very easy to location. At the heart of Accra central. Right from security, the welcome was good. The security answered all my enquiry and was very professional. I was here to escort my sister for biometric capture. As she goes about her process I also took time to explore the place and I admit the environment and infrastructures were very neat and serene eventhough a lot goes on in the building

I had the pleasure of experiencing excellent service from Betty in the executive dining area at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra. Five start looks, 2 star service. Check in was traumatic and the staff are clueless and can't be bothered. No guest assistance. No concierge services. The rooms are basic and toiletries very sparse. Ironing was a nightmare; focus seems more on securing thr cheap pressing iron than convinience for guests to use it. Everything is slow and you have a feel that the staff are either new or incompetent. Not a good value for money. The location is great though and very secure.

This hotel is in the middle of Accra and it's easy to locate. The security checkpoint at the gate is commendable. I didn't have the privilege to access the room since we were only there for a short meeting. The lawns looked well taken care of.

Location is great, Pool is clean, rooms are clean and spacious, it's an expensive place but you are offered your monies worth of service.. It's a place you can book for vacations and Bussiness conferences. I liked their service throughout my time there. Waiters and waitresses were always on point. They asked the right questions and gave the right answers. Food was great.. It's a place I would like to visit again.

The Movenpick Accra was very good. Had the restaurant not been temporarily in 'The Glass House', it would have rated higher. The room was very nice, the spa and gym facilities were excellent, and the room service food was very good. Overall the guest services were excellent.

Your hotel is clean as Rwandan we care about cleanness. Your room are awesome. Your breakfast is beyond expectation. You only miss tooth brush and paste for cleaning teeth unless I should rate you to 10. Thank you.

The hotel was clean and well located. But what made this hotel special was the several hotel staff who put in the effort to greet the guest with great warmth and enthusiasm. I stayed there for 6 nights. After the first day, the staff at the restaurant (in particular Calvina) would greet you by name and welcome you to the restaurant. The warmth of the welcome made me feel as if I am among friends in the hotel.

Highly enjoyed my time at the hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious, service was on point, and the food and drinks were great! Out of all the hotels in Accra, one of the best when it comes to price, service, decor and location

The hotel gives great aesthetic comfort. The air at the hotel is always airconditioned and cool than the average Ghanaian setup. After going through the day's heat, the hotel provides a relaxing, calming and peaceful place of comfort. There's an effective shuttle system that collects and drops people to and from the airport after every 2 hours.

One of the best breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets in Accra with lots of variety to choose from as compared to other popular hotels. Food tastes great too! Looking for that family buffet meal get-together? Movenpick is your place to go.

The emporium makes it easy for lodgers to purchase needed items including drugs. Artwork display everywhere gives the African taste and something to engage the artistic mind. I enjoyed the buffet at the 6th club apartments. The scenery and setting is very relaxing. Parking here is good. No walk in shower.

Movenpick Ambassador Hotel is one of the classic and 5 star hotels in Ghana with higher security services. Their services are on the top. Place is ideal for high profile meetings and relaxation with serene environment. They’ve been innovative by introducing a movie night o Saturday which comes with a basket of assorted eatery. I really enjoyed the place and movie, however they need to improve the quality of the screen which is a bit blurry. I had a fun filled experience.

UNSAFE HOTEL - BAG STOLEN - CCTV NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE I stayed as part of an EU country's trade delegation. Multiple things wrong with the room, including the safe which did not work. Safe was fixed, then stopped working. My bag with my documents was stolen. Hotel managers "faked help". Police had to order them to let me view CCTV - CCTV was so bad you cannot see peoples' faces. At no point did the managers ask if I was ok? If I needed anything. 3 days later they still had not given the CCTV to the police..... I am suing the hotel.

A monumental affair. No character or feel to the place. Exudes opulence and true enough you need deep pockets to wine and dine there. Pity about poor picture quality old TVs with grainy screens. If you love watching sport while having a tipple then you'll be disappointed here as there are only two TVs for visitors. The pool side TV is limited to CNN. That alone says a lot

They never kept our room replenished with wash cloths. At check in we didn't have one wash cloth. We called to the front desk and they brought hand towels. Housekeeping stated all the wash cloths was dirty and was in the washer. Keep in mind the hotel was not full. We had problems with wash cloths all week long. 2 guest in a room and they wouldn't give us not one wash cloth when they cleaned the room. Once I called the front desk housekeeping kept bringing hand towels and if they did bring a washcloth it was only 1. Afterwards, the toilet tissue didn't stay replenished either. I would definitely book at another hotel if I came back to Accra Ghana. Next, after flying and being in the airport 19 hours we checked in at 11pm. The guy at the front didn't know how to work the credit card machine. He then locked the machine up and if it wasn't for another form of payment we wouldn't have had a room there. Lastly, our key kept getting deactivated. I made sure after the first time our cellphone was not close to the room key. At least every other day our room key was deactivated and we couldn't access the elevator. This hotel was to expensive for simple things not to take place and I'm definitely not going to discuss the fight that broke out and security was to scared to brake it up or call the police. Visitors of the guest had to do the security job.

The hotel looks the part but the experience lacks the same attention to detail as the hotel's design. Food is alright but not the best in Accra. The staff is good but the organisation of systems often impede their ability to offer guest the experience you might expect.

The breakfast was great, to have the opportunity to eat outside in lounge chairs gave me a vacation feeling. The room was basic, but ok. The outside pool is large, with nice sunbeds. The negative side, there were not enough towels for all the guests. I had to lay on the bare mattress for a while, until the towels came.

I gave it a 3 star because they need improvement in 2 areas 1: the lobby security in the morning and 2: the night staff in the restaurant. I love the room it is huge and the housekeeper did an amazing job I tipped her $500 cities I stayed 1 week. The front desk staff is wonderful. The morning restaurant staff is amazing they need to train the night staff. Morning security guards are rude. The food is delicious with a variety of dishes which is great.

Currently staying at this hotel for the next 9 days. Struggling a little bit. Noise travels from the level above you so it sounds like people are moving things in your room. There is a smell because you can’t have any fresh air. And my shower floor was a bit slimy. I have stayed here before and it was fine but not sure if the standard has dropped because it’s off peak season. Our company uses this hotel on the regular.

When I arrived at the Movenpick Accra, I thought it was going to be a breeze to check-in & relax after my 14 hour flight, as I had previously made pre-payments in full for my stay in advance. When I went to the reception counter, I was told that I owed an amount but I was confused since in the email, Charles mentioned that my reservation was “paid in full”. After going back & forth with Charles & another worker in which Charles kept denying that he said that, that 2nd worker said to send the screenshot of the email to their WhatsApp account of when Charles said I am all paid off. During this whole time, Charles gave me an attitude acting like he knew everything & he did not give proper customer service. I sent a screenshot of the email saying my reservation was “fully paid” & after that, Charles went to the back & stayed there, I am sure because of embarrassment & me showing the proof that he made a mistake on his end. He never even came back out to apologize for not doing his job correctly. I felt like they were trying to take more money from me which gave me shady vibes for a hotel like this… I never received an apology or an explanation for this horrible experience. I will NOT be speaking highly of this hotel or recommending them when my friends need recommendations of hotels to stay in Accra.

The pool is very crowded with people from outside. It’s a very bad policy here. There let all in. That’s why not enough beds for the guests. The guys from outside consume their own food and drinks and everybody makes is own loud party… absolutely not 5 star hotel! Next time we go back to Kempinski, it’s the better recommendation. Mövenpick is a Open swimming pool now. Really disgusting.

There is serious Robbery at this hotel and anytime it happens, they cover up. There is a syndicate with staff including security. They steal laptops and phones. This happened twice during ARCE conference in October and hotel did nothing. Now it has happened again this week. This time they have been caught and matter is with police. We will make sure this is investigated further. You stay here at your own risk.

It's one of the best hotels in Accra. It's located in the heart of the city and its very close to most governmental Institutes. The venue is very suitable for all major events

Staff was Wonderful, great, lovely and extremely courteous and helpful. The check-in desk on the Executive floor(6) were super great., The dining room staff were wonderful and polite. Rooms were kept immaculate at all times. The tour desk in the lobby needs lots of involvement. Inexperience staff, no up-to-date tour brochures and staff of 3-5 people would quote different prices for the same tour. We would have to wait a day before the tour was confirmed. International travelers days are limited and they need confirmations of tours in a matter of minutes. Other than that, I look forward to my next stay at the Movenpick Hotel.
