Mensvic Grand hotel is really not cliche at all when they say it is grand and a home away from home. They location is awesome, set inside the plush city of East Legon but not a lot of noise . Inside the hotel , you feel safe and the atmosphere they have created there is awesome. Rooms are very spacious with all there is to need for a wonderful stay. Big tv with all the channels on, full internet access on all floors and even outside the lobby . they have a gym, spa , lobby, lounge and an awesome pool which is designed to give that feeling of euphoria. The restaurant serves good food but could be better . Buffers are excellent and breakfast is always a joy . Their staff is so friendly especially the cleaning staff. They clean and change beddings everyday which is a good sign. Awesome place . Good conference facilities for meetings, trainings and programs. Home away from home .

Environment is neat. Great place to hold a conference or workshop. Directional signs are on point so you can go to halls with less difficulty. Staff are also friendly.

Hotel looks good from outside & the lobby too. Unfortunately rooms are old & need a refresh. Bed covers are old, towels are rough from over use. Poolside is nice & breakfast is good.

I love this place for its luxurious rooms, exquisite location and hospitality and responsiveness of its staffs to guests. Its a nice place to be. Beautiful swimming pool, a fitness center. Banking and medical institutions are at close range. Access to public and private transportation services. However, there are no supermarkets close to the hotel to do shopping.

The hotel is centrally located on "Lagos" Avenue (but it was much sane than the real Lagos) in East Legon. Had baks, entries, restaurants and shops around the hotel. Transportation to different parts of Accra was easy from the hotel. The staff were extremely courteous and very professional. They were quick to ensure the guests are comfortable (but there were one or two of the that were off). The rooms are well maintained and spacious although the balcony could be made more useful for guests (especially the pool side) Breakfast could use with more variety (especially for the cost of the rooms). The salad (self-made) was my favourite. The brewed coffee was also on point. The staff at the restaurant were absolutely lovely 😍). The gym 🏋️‍♀️ was well equipped as wad the swimming pool clean. They have ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for that. There was a party at the hotel and they actually sent a written apology for any disturbance the party would cause the guests (really that was just😳 for me, especially when I didn't even hear any noise at all). They rock Overall, from pick to drop off at the airport, the stay was enjoyable and so a big "midase" ("thank you" in Gan) to Mensvic Grand Hotel.

Awesome and good customer care service. The swimming pool side is also a good side for children and family fun times. Beautiful place and comfortable for holidays with friends and families, or single person. Yummy buffet breakfast too.

This concludes my final review! Despite initial concerns, I’ve grown fond of this hotel after three nights; trivial issues became insignificant. It embodies true Ghanaian (and Japanese) hospitality, especially noticeable during an extended stay. Owned by a Ghanaian husband and Japanese wife, it offers a unique blend of advantages. While it may have seen grandeur in its early days, the aging infrastructure is apparent, yet staying here feels like an investment in Ghana’s present and future. Honest Feedback: Pros: 1. Outstanding hospitality from all staff members, including the pickup driver, bell person, reception, maintenance, and housekeeping. 2. Spacious room equipped with essentials like a fridge, kettle, shower/bath, a functional desk, and a table with two chairs. The quiet and efficient AC is possibly thanks to Japanese technology. 3. Beautiful pool, although caution is needed before 4:00 or 5:00 due to chemical treatments. 4. Decent food, though not top-notch. Areas for Improvement: 1. Given the $120 per night price, high expectations for services are natural. However, managing everything in Accra might pose challenges. 2. Despite a positive past experience, recent attempts to contact the hotel directly through emails and the website yielded no response. This lack of responsiveness, even after overseas calls, could be detrimental. Please check this. 3. The initially assigned room faced a noisy street, prompting my request for a move to a quieter side, which took 30 minutes. During this time, I encountered issues with an unstable shower head, and a housekeeping interruption further delayed the process. Upon explaining the situation to a manager, then the owner intervened (sincere and committed), offering a room in the process of being fixed. However, this room had a broken table lamp switch, resulting in an electrical shock. (Photo !) 3. The following inconvenience involved malfunctioning bed lights, which required a 30-minute wait for repair. A frustrated housekeeper later revealed the mixed-up switches, connecting bed lights to “bar lights” and the “clean up” call switch. (Photo) Despite these challenges, But all issues I had, I promise you that you would have great experiences here, please talk to the owner and his wife, to discuss any concerns. They will take care of everything. You can’t compare this place with all us/European chain hotels. But please believe me that this is the place you should stay to see Ghana, still have a great memory ! I will 100% return w my reasonable expectation !

Had a great time, was there for a workshop we were serves breakfast, also had tea break and lunch. The food was amazing and well made and there wasn't any rush you're allowed to take your time and have as many dishes you want to.

The room was disappointing, as illustrated in the attached pictures. Despite our flight being canceled and arriving late around midnight, we were denied additional water bottles, receiving only one per room. Moreover, the mismatched sockets and electrical fitting plugs create safety concerns, as guests are expected to handle the connections themselves. I would recommend avoiding this place if possible.

A friend ordered jollof rice at the restaurant. Some of us were not decided yet. When her meal came, she could barely manage a few bites and left the food. The taste was disappointing. The fresh meal taste was absent. It was as if the jollof and chicken had been in the freezer for a long time and microwaved for us. The rest of us decided not to order any meal again. The waiter apologized and said she would notify the chef. Ideally, the chef should have approached us but that did not happen.....

Our flight got canceled, and the airline took us there. The staff were very receptive and had good communication and excellent customer service 👏.

Several key cards ceased working after 2days. Shower curtain was needed in my room. Food can't be parcelled unless advance notice given (ought to be flexible).

The hotel gives excellent room service. The wifi is unstable and erratic which is really inconvenient. The breakfast is dominated by chicken dishes. The waitstaff in the dining hall is attentive. They should consider adding yoghurt and whole fruit - it is icky to share utensils post- covid.

The hotel had relatively big rooms, and fairly good service personnel. Room was clean but I found it quite dated in design and furnishing. Matress was not soft. Fairly priced for location and service provided, but I personally would prefer to pay more for a more contemporary hotel.

The main feature of the hotel is the pool :) Rooms are clean. There are also salsa classes at the rooftop once a month.

The place was really nice. We hosted an event there and the environment was ok just that the decorations are not there yet. Special attention must be paid on that. When the program ended, the reaction of the people serving looked as if they were sacking us away from the premises. They were just picking things out. Even the table we were sitting on one guy came to pick away the water from it whilst we were still sitting there. I felt really bad because it was not professional on their side. Please look into that. Thank you.

I used the pool and it was great. Very family friendly. And, the pool attendant, Sani, was awesome. I would always recommend this pool for a family day out even if all are novice swimmers.

Rating is strictly for the conference services. Had a stakeholder meeting here. Meeting room was quite large with Air conditioning working. Clean toilets. I could see that there was a swimming pool which was quite large. Service was great at the restaurant and food wasn't bad at all. It does seem like a pretty old hotel that has been maintained to some extent over the years.

I can't stop thinking about the place though I have left there but their service and the nature of the environment is still in my mind, I must say it's a home away from home.

Congenial environment, greate conference hall facilities, Perfect location... I just recommend for anyone, especially if you're visiting Ghana and have no place to lodge. It's less than 5 minutes drive from kotoka int. airport. Just try it

Overall a positive experience. I thought the rooms were priced a bit higher than comparable hotels in Nigeria, but the service and food quality made up for it. The hotel is situated in east legon. I didn't stay in Accra long enough to get a sense of where it lay relative to ease of movement in the town, but it was 5mins from Kotoka airport and 5 mins from Accra Mall by car. Rooms were clean though a bit old. The pool was well maintained and inviting for a swim in the afternoon. Overall a good stay and would come back if I have the chance.

One of the obvious hotels in Ghana if you meed a place to hold your workshops and meetings. Lovsted in the up market areas of east legon, it commandeered a lot of clients before other hotels started business

I stayed 9 nights and enjoyed my stay at the Mensvic. The breakfast team are really great. The women on the front desk are very professional and always help. (The men on the desk are not so good and need to learn from the women. They pretend not to understand and are not organised). The driver who does airport pickups is great and very trustworthy. The rooms and interiors are a dated. But the rooms are large and have everything you need including good air conditioning and hot water (when you figure out how to make it work) and a safe. The pool is large and well maintained. The location is very good for University of Ghana. There is also a rooftop bar which has a great view but under-utilised. Do check it out if you are there with friends.

This hotel has a beautiful swimming pool which definitely harkens to it's glory days in the past. The cuisine served by the restaurant is mostly Gahnaian (think Jolof rice and fried fish) and is acceptably palatable. The rooms have dated decor and furnishings which fit with the dilapidated elegance of the hotel. This is perhaps suitable accommodation for one night if you are on a very tight budget!

Breakfast & lunch are amazing. If you eat beef, try their beef sausages for breakfast when they are available, they are so good! One thing I didn't like about the place though was the bath area for the hotel rooms

Mensvic gives off a vibe of the antique and importance. Had a warm reception and staff tried to be helpful. Breakfast is a good spread of options and pool area is large and relaxing. A few piques makes me reserve my ultimate star but it’s a good place to stay if you’re on a budget but have good taste.

I went to meet a friend at the reception. There was no opportunity for assessment of the rooms and service. Still, the ambience was excellent and I liked the well manned parking space in the basement.

Very upset, I got to the reception this morning as I was scheduled to attend a meeting organized by FES. The security directed me to the two Lady receptionist, I then asked them to direct me the FES meeting room, immediately I was asked to go left then right and continue straight which ended me in another room where Netright was, also holding another women's programme. Little did I know I was at the wrong place. For a hotel of such calibre, the receptionists must be extremely smart and alert especially on occasions where a series of group meetings or seminars are held. Extra vigilance and accurate dissemination of information is very vital and accurate. Aside that everything was perfect Hildegard
