I LOVE ROOTS!!! It has such a homey feeling that makes you forget you’re in a hotel. The attention to detail in their rooms is top notch. From the beautiful wall paintings to arrangements everything is perfect. Their restaurant and bar has great breakfast and amazing views you’ll definitely love. It’s eco-friendly and the sunrise and sunset views are just breathtaking. Situated right in the heart of the city Osu, you’re surrounded by the best clubs, bars, restaurants and everything to help you experience Ghana conveniently. I can go and on about this spot but you definitely need to experience for yourself.

I enjoy the rooftop restaurant and bar at roots hotel. The rooftop swimming pool is also pleasant as well. The staff are nice and friendly (service with a smile) I had some pretty decent cocktails at the bar at decent prices. The rooftop gives a beautiful view of the city and you can catch the beautiful sight of aeroplanes taking off. The parking lot is very small and tight, one of the things that I dislike about the place for a building as big as that, the parking space is quite disappointing. The rooms are nicely furnished and decent and the beds are comfortable.

First time here. I’ve stayed at the sister hotel, Urbano which I like a lot. This is very different in decor and feel. It really feels like coming home to a nice condo. The staff is excellent. Room is generous, very clean, comfortable. Nice decor and not fussy or precious. Highly recommend.

We've been here a couple of times over the years, the apartments are relatively clean and spacious, the hotel facilities are minimal, so is the breakfast and hotel bar. But, the best part of this hotel is the neighborhood. Everything you want is in the vicinity, enjoy Accra's nightlife.

I would have given Roots a 4 star rating if not for a series of unfortunate events. My 2 colleagues and I flew into Accra and stayed here for 3 days. On my second night I was robbed of 50 cedis from my purse. On my colleague’s FIRST night she was robbed of 200 cedis from her wallet. Our other colleague had his receipts rifled through and rearranged. When I informed the receptionist she offered to pay for my Uber and to my surprise did not inform the managing director of the reported thefts. The space is lovely, but I will never stay there or recommend anyone else does. Your personal belongings will NOT be safe.

I enjoyed their breakfast in the penthouse Cafe...The omelette was nicely done, coffee, beets, juice , cheese and service was very nice.. I went on the Roof and feel in love with the TWO Hot Tube Jacuzzies. The veiw is absolutely incredible overlooking downtown Accra Ghana Osu with the Beach and sun desolving into the Skyline...The breeze and sounds of nightlife from famous Oxford Street.. Bartenders and Hostess was very nice .

This one of the well known hotel in Accra, it's safe, peaceful and secured. It's located at a place that I call New York in Accra, which happens to be OSU, not far from the road. A lot of foreigners loves it there, We had a business partner who came on tour with her daughter from the US, that's when I had access to see the beauty of the inside, and that was last year but I just visited again.

Every part of The Roots Hotel Apartment is amazing from the secured underground car park, elegant look of the total edifice, the reception area, the elevators, the setting of the restaurants, the roof to bar with grill and jacuzzi baths, the food and beverages, the large view of Osu from the top, the services etc.

If you want basic necessities such as a functional room, hot water, and not to be attacked by mosquitoes while you sleep then I would recommend somewhere else to stay. Checked in the first night and went to sleep only to wake up with about 4 or 5 mosquito bites on my face which made my face swell. Apparently they host was suppose to spray the room and didn’t. I had to use makeup to hide my swelling. I checked out of this hotel only to check in to their sister hotel Ubano only to find the bathroom smelled like urine, there were no towels in the room, there were no pillow cases on the pillows it was almost like they gave me an unclean room. To Top it all off there was roaches. I immediately checked out and requested to move back to my original hotel thinking it would be a different experience. Nope! The room was literally falling apart. Pieces of the door fell on my foot, the pad lock didn’t work, no water at all for a few hours, and the AC unit was randomly choosing to work when it wanted to. I shared my grievances with the manager only to be promised a discount and an upgraded room that never happened. The one saving grace is the staff was extremely nice. Save your money and book elsewhere. The hotel looks nice but there are issues lurking beneath the surface.

Such an amazing place, the elevator didn't work well as it should. Esuro staff weren't engaging enough. Rooms were comfy, AC didn't work well. Would choose the sister hotel Urbano anytime.

So this is a cozy and modern boutique hotel with a stunning view of downtown from the already nice rooftop bar. There's a private restaurant in the hotel and a cute coffee shop. There's a club right beside the hotel as a bonus if you a night crawler. All in all 8/10

The hotel is okay, the staff is good and the location is great. The hotel is in walking distance of many enjoyable restaurants, bars and rooftop lounges. Oxford Street which is a minute walk away, abounds with life. Vendors, restaurants, stores and yes, ladies of the night are all a stones throw away from The Roots Hotel. This must be Accra's version of the red light district. So not for those with tender sensibilities.

Having a Business Center in the hotel would have been great. Customer service coughing at front desk.

The Roots hotel is a charming city-hotel in Accra's heartbeat, Oxford area. Very well decorated and neat architecture. There is a few parking spots on the street, as well as a parking lot behind the building. Walking distance to some popular restaurants and bars, also Oxford Street, the touristic attraction. My favorite parts are on the ground and top floor of the hotel though, where you can find Purple Café and Esuro Restaurant-Bar. Purple Café has one of the best Vegan menu in town, if not the best. You can enjoy your food either indoor or outdoor (deck) dining areas. Very friendly staff, ingredients are fresh (I mean it, you would feel when you taste) and every single piece of the menu is delicious and healthy. Esuro is a nice restaurant with delicious food and a great city view. The real deal is that you take the roof top, where the outdoor bar is, you would find the jacuzzi jets. As a hotel customer, you can order your drink and enjoy the jets! 😀 Overall, a place must visit in Accra. You wouldn't regret. I believe that this place is underrated.

You're going to love it here , this is at the prime area of Accra and I enjoyed the rooftop pub. Too of it all, you're in the center of Accra , the part that doesn't sleep and you have affordable places like root apartment hotel. Love this place
