It is a nice spot. There is parking. Service was good as well. To sit at their tables/enjoy the facility there is a 20 cedi fee. The food is made fresh to order. Not much of a drink selection but something you can work with. When we went they were out of lobster. The place had small parties of people and and families all around. The beach and water were clean and there were no hawkers. Bring your own music.

This place was absolutely AMAZING!! I came with a group of 12 for the day. The owne Masou was one of the most interesting people I've ever met! He was kind and welcoming and awesome to talk to- he presented a vegan tasting for us and it was by far the most thought about and presentation of every dish- you could really tell how much thought and effort he made while catering to our "vegan" needs- perfection is an understatement! I definitely will be back!

I had a great day at Sankofa Beach House. Located just an hour drive from Accra, it is the perfect spot for families or a group of friends. They have a children's playground, hammocks, a small volleyball court, and football nets. They also offer accommodation, ranging from one bedroom chalets to oceanfront suites, starting at 100$ per night. They can also host events in their air conditioned meeting room. Access to the beach is easy, and the seafood platter for two is a great deal at 300 cedis. It's best to send them a WhatsApp before going to make sure there are no special events and that there is space for you, as it can get quite busy on weekends.

We went there on Saturday. 1. On Saturday they serve Monday to Friday menu because chef likes that way. 2. You can get grilled chicken but no grilled fish because chef doesn’t want to grill the fish. 3. You can’t get pizza because today we didn’t on our clay oven. 4. No chicken kababs because chef is not making them 5. We requested them to make pancakes for the kids but since it’s in breakfast menu you can’t get them. 6. You can’t get hummus because no electricity to start the blender. 7. No water in the washrooms and outside to was hands because no light. 8. No printed bill because of no electricity. 9. When I asked for the manager, the guy the restaurant/bar says he the manager. Don’t see a bright future ahead. Can’t recommend this place to anyone.

What a serene place to have lovely weekend. Workers are hospitable. They've got delicious food available with affordable Drinks and wine. They even got a life guard at the Beach. Sankofa beach house by far is the best resort along the Coast line at kokrokobite

Sankofa beach resort is well placed along the kokrobite coast with access to a clean and tranquil beach. However, the rooms are overpriced and customer service is terrible. Waiting staff were completely clueless and even quite rude at times. Food took unrealistically long and management is clearly discriminatory towards locals. Great location, unfortunately nothing else to write home about.

It’s a serene beachfront setting with very hospitable staff. It was a day trip so we didn’t experience their rooms and the beach house was very clean. It’s not a fancy / posh place but very simple and nice. You have to book about 3 days in advance. For day trips, each group is assigned a hut/shed. Nice place for a getaway. About an hour’s drive from Accra.

My Partner and I stayed here with my BFF and her husband. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the ocean view rooms were equally “on point”! I HIGHLY recommend Sankofa Beach House for your stay while in Ghana! It’s a MUST!

So I had my birthday daycation at Sankofa Beach Resort. The resort is very nice and neat. Gate fee is 20ghc. You get to play football, volleyball and also your kids are not left out at all. One thing I didn't like was, food took more than one hour for it to be ready and when it finally came the tilapia I ordered was not well spiced and cooked. Also the tilapia is very big, I think they should have medium size at a reduced cost so those who can't eat the big one can go for the medium size. They also don't have fresh juices as I didn't get one when I requested for one. Apart from this it's a nice place.

Exciting fun place right on a clean beach with excellent tasting food. The place not only for adults but children to. They have tetherball, table hockey, soccer, hammock and other exciting things as well. You can pay for their services with cash or credit card so you have a choice of form payment.

It is well kept. We had some problems with the house we stayed in but the staff were quick to sort them out. The house we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The beach was kept spotless. A place where all ages could go and unwind. The staff are a pleasure .

Definitely one of the best place in the area to spend some time o the sea side. Food is excellent and service is very friendly. I would recommend this place.

The beach is a good one, but the service is horrible. We order food and after 1:00h they came to say they don’t have lobsters and prawns anymore. After taking the final order it took 1:30h to arrive the food. Plus the beer is really hot. Terrible experience.

Probably the neatest beach in Accra. Tasty meals served and well kept chalets. Definitely a must for the family. Felt welcome throughout my stay . Found my oasis.

If you live in Accra this is probably one the best choices to enjoy a clean beach within one hour drive The service is impeccable and on time but you need to book it upfront when you want to eat, there are some cute chalets where to spend the night There is lots of space for families plus sitting arrangements just by the beachside, eating breakfast with the ocean breeze was for a me an unforgettable luxury Totally worth the money

Great spot to enjoy the beach! The road leading to it was suspect but once they're it's paradise! The water actually was blue over here and nice to water in. The staff attentive but not intrusive. We could call them to our covered bungalow any time for service and they were prompt with any needs. The food was absolutely amazing. We got the seafood platter with the biggest prawns I've every seen lobster and amazing fish.

Private beach resort which comes with a homey pampered feel. Probably the only beach resort with a well grassed lawn. Lovely to walk about and great for kids too. They're "non menu" cuisine is one you've got to try. It never disappoints. I love the atmosphere. I great getaway for the City dweller.

Nicely kept space with a large grass play area, swings and a volleyball net. Clean comfortable places to eat (own picnic or food from the restaurant). Good timely service, shower and change facilities and a beach which they aim.to keep clean. Despite their efforts, plastic does arrive there like at bojo beach and other nearby beaches. Otherwise idthive them.a 5 star.

A wonderful getaway only a short drive from Accra. We came just for the day (only 20 cedi entrance fee). Food was very good, we got prawns, lentil soup and grilled fish. Best part was playing volleyball with new friends, walks on the beach, the hospitality of the staff and they even had frisbee!! (If you're used to North American beaches there is still a small amount of trash on the shoreline - nothing compared to other parts of Africa but still present hence the 4 stars instead of 5)

The place looks just as seen in pictures except I find the entrance fee charged outrageous. It doesn’t come with any special offers, not even a 500ml bottle of water. Raised it up with management, I hope something is done about it.

Sankofa is a great place to be especially because the atmosphere is serene. The beach is relatively cleaner compared to the beaches located in main Accra. I always recommend. I give a 4-star rating because the food isn’t so great.

My family and I really enjoyed this place. There's a playground for kids and parents to have fun, the beach is clean, the food was ok as well. The staff was helpful and nice. We will definitely go back.

Sankofa Beach House offers an excellent beachside stay. The shore lulled us to sleep each night. The staff is quite professional and accommodating. Our rooms included a oceanview balcony. Beautiful murals of Nkrumah and Fela Kuti exemplify the vibe of the establishment. Take advantage of a stroll along the beach. You may find a great deal from traveling vendors.

Great place to be.Except for the road leading to the place but trust me you'll forget it all once you get to Beach. Nice food and ambience and there awesome picture taking spots,how cool is that?

The best part about this place was the amount of gaming options available apart from the regular beach fun. Changing rooms were available and the entire beachside set-up is wonderfully unique.

Booking ahead even as a day visitor is important, especially if it's a holiday and you are a large group. It will likely be very busy on a holiday, if you were looking for a place to be alone or super quiet. The beach is clean and the main grounds are nice and big enough for soccer and volleyball. Also as they indicate, food does take a long time so be prepared for the wait. Entry fee is higher if you bring any of your own food in your group.

Great and a nice hidden gem 💎, do remember there is an entry fee. I enjoyed the place just that they need to improve on there customer service. It took over 30 minutes just to be served. However the food did not take long to be served. In all great location!

The first thing that'll get you are the rooms. They're quite expensive. But other than that, the place has a calm vibe, nice arrears to spend time with a loved one, or even throw a party. And a great place to go for walks on the beach. If not for the costly items, this will be the perfect hangout spot. I'll highly recommend you bring your own drinks and food, then pay the daily fee to enjoy the beach.

I'd score a zero for customer service, the essence of being in Hospitality is Providing services that meet the requirements of guests. I called two days ago to book a room while I was driving, my call kept being declined and messages were sent to me to make enquiries on WhatsApp, there should be an operations / help line to assist.

Hidden gem to enjoy the ocean, away from the city chaos. Must arrange transportation before going, little service from taxi or uber.

Very poor service. Group of 10 people, but no one came to take order, I have to go and ask for order then another 2 hours to bring order. This is ridiculous.

A place to have fun while viewing the beach. The well kept lawns were perfect for our games. The seesaws and availability of extra tables and chairs, bins and staff on hand to assist with anything was a delight. Washrooms are neat too. A great place to have fun with friends and family.

Very nice place to relax, eat and enjoy the beach. The road for coming here is really bumpy though, in the rainy season I'd make sure to come with a larger (4x4) car.

Had a very pleasant stay at Sankofa Beach House. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food is delicious and very affordable. Absolutely love their breakfast! Their home fries are a must try. Thank you to the entire staff, especially Prince. He took really good care of me during my stay, and always checked in to make sure I was satisfied. Highly recommend! 5-star atmosphere, service and food. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
