The southern part of the river, located precisely in South Tongu district in the Volta Region, is a place to be if you love nature. With a number of 4 and 5 star hotels (Hotel Cisneros, Holy Trinity SPA) along the river give a touch of home away from home.

It's a great place to buy home and office appliances. The receptionist is very good and welcoming she made feel at home with her interactions with me. Too bad I did not ask for her name 😃

Volta river and it's environment is the best to get. Especially for tour and enjoyments. It's natural air and breeze is so lovely. I just don't want to talk about the fresh Fish like Tilapia

A very good and nice place to spend holidays with your family and friends

Every farm produce from the farming communities at the other side of the river can be found here on sale. Outboard motor boats are the means of crossing the Volta River. There are sand winning companies operating daily and selling river sand to construction companies and tipper truck owners from Accra and Tema.

So many mini buses going to the same route and also loading atthe same time making the bus taking a long time to be come full #

This hotel is called Sun City and we'll situated in Bakpa a about 25 minutes drive on a very bad road from Adidome in the central Tongu district of the Volta region. It is quiet some investment that can turn to be a wonderful place to have fun or relax. It had a good pool and great space to party and equally fairly good rooms. But service is its main problem. My family checked into two rooms and non of these room had their TV working. One has a fridge that does not work. There was no towel in any of the rooms. Hot bath still works though. For Gh¢150 you can have a bed and breakfast even though the breakfast is toast, field egg, Milo and milk. With the right management and promotion, Sun city can be one of the best hotels in the Volta region of Ghana.
