I don't think you can go out of shape with Ethiopian food! Very healthy and tasty. This was my first time and I loved the experience. We met Tsige, the owner and she was extremely pleasant. Overall, the experience was very nice and it is great value for money. I tasted the homemade Ethiopian honey drink (Tej) and I loved it so much because it was sweet (I have a sweet tooth as you may know by now). There was a complimentary cinnamon tea and chocolate cake for dessert!! The tea was bursting with flavour!

My husband and I came here for dinner on Friday night. It is recommended you make a reservation ahead of time. We had such a pleasant experience! Lanterns in the parking area and a warm hand towel on arrival. The food was amazing and authentically Ethiopian; so much to choose from in the buffet. Lamb, chicken, lentils, salad and so on. Delicious cake with tea or coffee served at the end. The owner takes great pride in her dishes and the atmosphere. She was very attentive to making it a nice experience for everyone dining. Our waiter was very quick to attend to all tables and had the most gentle demeanour...and the nicest smile! The customer service here was exceptional, nothing I have experienced anywhere else in Ghana. We will definitely come back and bring friends and visitors!

I really liked coming to Simret to try out Ethiopian food. It is served buffet style which is great to try different plates easily. At 65GHS the buffet was well priced since you can eat a lot with that. Place is small so I recommend reserving beforehand. Service was excellent, one of the best I’ve received in Accra.

The food was delicious and the manager was very kind. They gave us warm water to wash our hands before and after wearing, which I am always appreciative of, and also the waiter explained the food and way of eating before we hit the buffet. All in all, great food and comfortable environment! A little pricey though...

Simret never disappoints us. The food was delicious as always. The staff are super friendly and always remember us when we come in. Last night we had our 1 yr anniversary dinner there and it was the best dinner we have had in a long time. The best part was they served fried rice for our Ghanaian guest. They were very pleased. We will always come back to eat here.

From the decor to the food and customer service, you’ll be happy you gave Simret a try! This cute Ethiopian restaurant in Airport has a family meal feel with authentic tastes straight from Ethiopia. The buffet style dinner comes with tea or coffee and a dessert and is well worth the price! Definitely one I’ll be going back to!

Great service. Delicious Ethiopian cuisine. Warm ambiance set for fine dining. Pleasant hostess and fair pricing for meals. This place is disability-friendly too. I witnessed the hostesses superb assistance given to a white cane user and was impressed.

This intimate, home based Ethiopian buffet has become a a fan favorite in Accra with good reason. The menu hardly changes and the price, while expensive for the average Ghanaian, remains great value for money in a city that is being flooded with eateries that tend to have more posh than polish. Highly recommend!

Delicious food and excellent service. All-you-can eat buffet for 70 Ghs (including vegetarian options). A fantastic deal! plus the family who owns the restaurant is so nice! I definitely recommend it. The dining room is very small so I would recommend reserving a table ahead of time on weekend nights.

I don't get it. Why are Ethiopian restaurants in the US à la carte? Buffet style simply is the only way to experience Ethiopian food. In this regard, Simret really delivers. It's a very small restaurant run by a family who make everything from scratch. The buffet (70 cedi) has 3-4 meat dishes and 4 vegetarian dishes. But regardless of which you choose, you're in for a treat. The injeras are perfect, melt in your mouth; the chicken in the doro wat is fall-off-the-bone tender; and the coffee at the end of the meal is divine. They even have a nice wine list to go with the food. To top it all, the lady who owns the place is just so welcoming and stresses on creating a familial/communal atmosphere. In conclusion, it really is worth your time. If you're in Accra, please stop by. You won't regret it.

My wife and I enjoyed the intimate setting and delicious food. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The hostess of the restaurant came out and greeted us. The place was decently full, we slipped in without a reservation, but I would recommend calling ahead of time; I think we got lucky. I would recommend this restaurant. Thank you for a very nice dinner my wife and I really enjoyed!!

This was my first time eating Ethiopian food and it was amazing. The food was served buffet style, so there was something for everyone (three meat choices, lentils, and veggies). Although the restaurant is small, the ambiance is quaint and welcoming. The staff were very attentive and the owner was personable. I will definitely be back. Jmt, ihth.😁

Nice food very scrumptious and tasty ! The owner was very cheerful and kindly. The staff was very available and they took care of us. I had just a matter with the bill. They didn't tell us that the charges weren't included in the price. So we ordered two buffets with a bottle of water normally it was 158 cedis. But when we wanted to pay they charged us 198 cedis instead of 158 cedis. Finally, they reduced the price and we only paid 188. We Will come back again, but you should examine the bill very carefully before you pay.

Probably the best Ethiopian food in Accra. The buffet gives a great opportunity to try a lot and go back for the best sauces. Incredibly friendly host that make a you feel as though she personally invited you over for dinner. Lovely experience

An absolutely incredible dining experience! My first time trying Ethiopian food and it was delicious. Amazing customer service - very friendly, attentive and ready to assist. I was unaware that I needed to make a reservation ahead of time, but they accomadated me without hesitation. Both the host and the owner were lovely. As a Ghanaian living abroad, I visit Ghana frequently but this is my first visit to Simret. I wish I knew about it sooner. Must try!

(Translated by Google) This is a very cozy restaurant. The food is excellent and is displayed on a buffet of Ethiopian pottery. There is an explanation for each dish and the hostess is also happy to walk along all dishes with extensive information. The Beer is cold, the wine excellent and waiting staff friendly and professional.

We love Simret. We have been going there for years and we’re delighted it had survived during COVID. It’s well worth the money as the food is fantastic and the ambience warm and comfortable. The service is excellent and the owner is a gracious host who welcomes you as family. The waiter has been there for years and provides more than great service- kindness and humour.

It’s actually nice place and good customer service but then it seems they only get different types of stews thus I didn’t see anything like rice or spaghetti etc just stew and it’s kinda expensive 😣 thou, if you’re a type who like food won’t recommend this place

We visited Simret last night for the first time and I must admit, I was blown away! The food was extremely flavorful & delicious, and more importantly, the customer service is top-notch! Unfortunately, we've become accustomed to poor or lackluster service here in Ghana; this was not the case at Simret! The owner is very kind and took great care of us for our 2-hour stay and continued to wow us! This experience will certainly be the catalyst for our return soon. You will not be disappointed with Simret!

As an Ethiopian, I was surprised to find such an authentic Ethiopian restaurant away from home. The freshly served buffet with a variety of options including Vegan was so delicious. And another best part was, diners were invited to go for more of the delicious food. Simret restaurant is not just another restaurant but a home away from home. Thanks for making my stay in Accra wonderful!
