Very unsafe place. Thieves and robbers dominated the market. Lot of thieves around ( area boys ) be careful with your phones, bags, wallets they are always watching you. They snached my wife's bags and phones by force. No one came for help. I also got injured while trying to stop him. Happened in the morning 22/05/22 by 10 am. Police also not bothered even after lodging a complaint.

Got some fresh fish and tiger prawns. Interesting experience. Prices were good. You're expected to negotiate and price the amount you're given. Got some cassava fish (croaker), grouper and red snapper. Also got those tiny fish used for Yoyo

With the glare view of the canoes, fishermen, others knitting their nets & fishmongers. Fish is a commodity that is in abundance. The canoes have interesting names written on it. You can find all types of fish, from Octopus, to cassava fish, shrimps, herrings, Tuna, salmon red fish among others . Just a little walk around will lead you to the shore. You will find children & adult swimming. Accessories for knitting ones net can be bought there at retail prices. Gasoline is also available for the canoes outboard motors . It is indeed an interesting site. You can locate some big industrial manufactures, one of them is Pioneer Food Cannery just on the side. The road network is well tarred. Easy to locate a cold store and a banking sector

Fish is available throughout the day. The fish is displayed openly on tables, bowls and basins. You can have it dressed for you or you take it as a whole. Fresh catch is available as well as frozen. You can get gish from the men who brought fresh catch in the morning and also the woman who have preserved what was brought earlier. There is a public address system for sending quick information throughout the place. Police station is available. Council for settling dispute among fishermen is found there. The main language here is Ga and it's followed closely by Twi.

Is a Busy place. Is quite a good place to buy and sell different types of fish Just that the sanity of the environment (i.e, the market area, sea shore) has to be taking care of.

I love to see the canoes and fishing boats whilst buying fresh fish! I always love to come here! The fish mongers and the fishermen should be your best friend. Hahaha

Tema Open Fish Market was a buyer's market last April. I wished my wife was doing the buying, she's a far better bargainer. To all intents, prices were fairly good, and there was a good variety of small and big fishes for all tastes. I like the practice of venders to remove the scales and cut the fish to your desired sizes. But!! If you're carrying the fish over long distances, you better bring along your own ice cubes! Don't say I didn't warn you!

It's was good, and the fishing market was not as busy as Axim open fish market and Secondi open fish market There's a poor fishing market system. The reason is if you go to coastal areas in western region, the canoes can come anytime for the fish mongers to sell the fish to their customers

I love the fact that you can get very fresh fish here. It’s straight from the sea, though the variety is limited and quite expensive. The vendors were not wearing face masks😰.Nonetheless, it was an interesting experience! Felt good haggling prices of the fish and squid!!
