Location by the sea. Food excellent. Rooms OK. Good beds. Security OK. Personal extremely nice. Very good priced souvenir shop. Market 10' walk. It is not the hotel's fault but the beach is filthy no swim. No pool.

Facility has great location but it's being run down. Somebody please send a proposal to partner with management to revamp the facility. The facility has great potential. What it needs is some capital ingestion and innovative ways to pull crowds. Somebody, anybody, investors, please come to their aid. I'm for reinventing the facility to its formal glory

The most environmentally friendly Hotel in Ghana. Attention was paid to use of plastics and the treatment of our environment. Beautiful gallery of African Origin and very nice staff. The food was top class especially their special 'tribe' rice, kaklo and beans. A great picturesque setting for a wedding at an affordable rate.

Situated at the shore of the beach next to birth and deaths registry. Lots of shades from the trees inside the building. It is however an old building , given the necessary renovation and painting this could be the fabulous get away location that isn't too far from the city centre. If you're looking for a beachside experience on budget, this may be it. Your comfort however will definitely be compromised. Well, depending on what your idea of comfort is. Life is boring without a little adventure, go have a look. You'll love the scene in the morning at sunrise

Afia Beach is not only quite and peaceful, but offers a sense of owning a beach house. It's the perfect place for a writer or a loner to fully engage their inner thoughts. The sound of the sea waves at night as you while away time under the open hut is enough to stir a bitter-sweet feeling in your soul.

I have such good memories of this place. Visited today after years of being away, and had lunch. Menu is very limited now as there are few customers but staff are nice. It's unfortunate that it has lost its shine and so much of its clientele. Still a good place to sit for a bit in the big open restaurant, have a drink and eat some palava sauce with the sound of the ocean waves in the background.

They really get you into the African spirit. Great view of the sea. Calming and soothing waves entertain you. A great place for your family vacation.

This hotel reminds me of a place I once stayed in Hawaii. The reception area and restaurant are open to the ocean breezes, and the interior is decorated with hand carved pillars that are vaguely Polynesian, but actually are made in Ghana. There is a fantastic African antiques gallery on site. The food is lovely, especially breakfast: French toast with orange sauce, crepes with cinnamon bananas. The gardens leading down to the sea provide the view from the dining room. The rooms I have stayed in have little porches that open on the ocean side. The linens are clean, and the food comes to the table piping hot. The staff are attentive, and the owners are friendly. The price is excellent, too.

The place is cool but needs to be given the proper attention to revitalize the place. Still cool though. Try out the experience guys

This was my 3rd time dining at the restaurant. The first time, I had a wonderful lunch there with friends. We even order dessert and it was reasonable. A few days later, I returned for dinner and was not impressed with my meal. Recently, I took a friend there for lunch and was very disappointed all around! The house wine was acidic and watered down. My plate was over cooked. The excuse given leaned more towards me needing to be understanding of unrelated circumstances. There was no real effort to correct the mishap (the plate should not have left the kitchen!). It turned out to be overpriced diner food. This is unacceptable. Or, maybe, I've watched too much Gordon Ramsey!

Veeeery nice resort. The all staff are top there. Very nice place inside from the resort. Only..... the beach.. very sad... its not clean, all over on the front from the resort to the beach have plastic bags and others stranded parts... Thats why i give only 4 stars

Afia African Village Resort is a nice hotel on the Atlantic Ocean with reasonably priced hotel rooms and a good restaurant. There's a lot of pollution in the beach so a walk on the beach isn't a nice option.
