I tried to order food on Monday and then realized the business wasn't open that day. Google maps said it was open Wednesday through the weekend, so I tried unsuccessfully to order again online on Thursday. I finally decided to go in person to see what was up. I walked there in the hot sun to find that the door had a closed sign. When I was standing in front of the restaurant the owner texted me (probably had my number from my unsuccessful orders) saying they were closed until October. I updated the status on Google maps and she texted me again to say I should take down my photo. What?! I explained what I had gone through and noted others should be able to know the business is temporarily closed. She then proceeded to basically say I'm not welcome at the restaurant. Beyond unprofessional, this feels like harassment for, as a Google local guide, trying to report accurate information about a restaurant. I shudder to think at what the experience of interacting with the owner in person would be like.

When I came to Ghana, I didn’t know many people from the diaspora. So when I discovered this new restaurant in Osu and found out it was owned by a Texan, I had to try it out! Can I tell you EVERYTHING on this menu is good!!! I have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! It’s so good!!! My most favorite thing to get is the Palava Sauce that Chef Betty makes. I haven’t found any restaurant to beat hers yet! The Garden and the Sea has the perfect mix of American and local dishes that will satisfy anyone’s pallet. Come through!

The food was soo good and different from anything I’ve tasted in Accra. The owners were amazing! We has great conversations. I would definitely recommend the salad and the garlic shrimp with vegetables rice. Ooh and the desert was like a pound cake !!! Sooo good everything was sooo good and healthy

I placed orders via Glovo twice this week. The first time I ordered the vegan burger with fries. The vegan burger was super good but the fries were not that great. The second time I ordered a mushroom wrap, a peach cobbler and vegan Bolognese. It was a total disappointment. Thank you for refunding the wrap and the desert. However I am still very disappointed in all this because I could not eat. Especially with the pasta. You should just say it's pasta with tomatoes and carrots. Look up vegan bolognese and see the difference. Even if you don't have vegan meat there are other ways to do it with mushrooms, lentils and so on. I think you should have refunded that too. I really feel like I wasted my time and my money. But overall I do appreciate you calling to apologize. All the best moving forward. I know you can improve.

Tasty 😋 yummy and delicious

I am always excited to find new vegan restaurants in Ghana, and this was no exception. It is a small café, and upon arrival, I was notified that orders are only taken online. It is unclear whether they allow people to eat in, as the website said take away only, but there is room for maybe 3 parties of 1-2 to sit inside. I was invited to pull up the website and order inside, which I did. The vegan options were of wide variety, but as I waited, this is where the disappointment set in. The owner was present, along with other staff - she rose to assist them to prepare the meals, as I had ordered a few items to try. I am all about ENERGY, and it was not good - she was constantly talking down to them, micromanaging, making disparaging statements towards them, and I began to feel anxious and stressed at their treatment on my behalf. The owner is an expat from the USA, and it almost felt like she was trying to show off in front of me or make herself look good, while passing the blame on her staff for the dishes taking awhile to prepare, or for them prepping something outside of the order that she would have. Anyone who frequents Africa should be well aware - meals are typically prepared by scratch, and take time. Do not visit a Resturaunt bringing your American fast-food expectations with you. She spoke to them with disdain as if they were her children that she was trying to publicly train/scold - later, I talked to someone else who had the same experience with the bad energy, and I was told that they were not her children, but local workers...even worse. If I return, I hope to see huge improvements in the vibe. Operating a great establishment does not just convey to pleasing customers, but being decent to your support staff as well. As far as the food, it was okay. There was a strange aftertaste that was present across all items that I ordered that I didn't like. Possibly the water, I can't say for sure. But creativity get's a thumbs up in my book.

Very nice vegan restaurant and I really love the place. The jollof rice taste good and I can’t wait to eat it again. The workers are very active when it comes to serving. Interesting part is, the location is good 🤩.
