Casual and easy seafood in Central Phoenix. A real simple place to get a good bite to eat and bring some nice fish home. The daily specials are always good. Not real into fish? They have quite a few non-fish options for any taste.

I've been looking for a good place to get my seafood fix in Phoenix. Chula's definitely hits the mark! I was pleasantly surprised with how fresh and delicious their sashimi was. They also have a really good fish and chips as well. I don't mind paying for quality and that is exactly what you'll get here.

Food was excellent. I had swordfish and clam chowder with a ginger beer. Chowder was amazing and full of clams. Swordfish was very tasty. Date had the scallops. Everyone was satisfied but like higher end places, the portions were kids meal small. But quality seafood in the desert is hard to come by so I will be back. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing!, it transports you into walking right into a fish market next to the port with fresh caught fish! I have tried most of their dishes and it's all so fresh. I spoke with an employee and I asked where they get their fish and they said from San Diego. sometimes they get their fish every other day.. -No wonder the sandwiches and other foods are so good!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chula Seafood Uptown and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. As someone who was craving some good old fish and chips, this place did not disappoint. Not only were their fish and chips cooked to perfection, but they were so good that I found myself returning for seconds just a few days later. The service was top notch as well, with the staff being incredibly sweet and helpful. They were quick to serve my food and even the drinks were perfect. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and comfortable, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. My only complaint is that they close a bit early during the week, but that's just a minor issue compared to how great everything else was. I would highly recommend a visit to Chula Seafood Uptown if you're in the mood for some amazing seafood.

Definitely pricey but the quality of the food was great! While getting 4 shrimp for $12 in the shrimp cocktail was a letdown; they were very delicious and large shrimp. However, the real winner is the Thursday special fish sandwich! Such an wonderfully seasoned and fried spicy fish fillet with a jalapeño onion slaw and spicy sauce. The slice of watermelon helped cool everything down as well. Highly recommend that sandwich and the basil mint limeade! I will definitely have to try more from the menu.

This was our first time trying Chula's Seafood and we were not disappointed. We both got Saturday Special, which was the Surf and Turf Burrito, we added French fries instead of having rice, and they were very accommodating...Man o man! was this burrito good! Very nice size, almost big enough to where we could have split one. We will definitely go back to try something else on the menu. Fresh seafood options and a variety of cooked menu options available.

The ‘Friday lunch plate special’ took my tastebuds on an incredible journey and it was one of the best meals I’ve had all year!! Staff was great and very friendly. Will 1,000% be back next time in the area.

Overcooked Fish …… Order the fish and chips two piece… Way overcooked fish …🤮 I told them it was overcooked they gave me another piece of fish that was overcooked again …. 🤮 Either they got a timer issue to how long they cook the fish. Or a temperature issue… Or they need to change their oil because it old. The fish was a dark brown, and the crust was hard … Looking at other photos posted. My fish didn’t look anything like theirs. Not good

One of the best restaurants in all the world! Don't just think of them as a seafood spot because you will experience seafood in a way you've never had before. High level of ingredients they create with from the vegetables the sauces, the spices, the different proteins are next level. They run unique specials everyday and then on the weekends they'll hit you with some amazing high-end entrees that are worth seeking out. They now have a full bar so you can get cocktails or wine while you're enjoying this incredible food. If you like me and sometimes you don't want to go out to eat but you still want to eat good recommend the takeout it travels well. Or if you want to. Wow! Your friends buy from the take-home case. I love to get the u10 scallops along with some grouper and some smoked salmon for later and grill it at home and just wow taste buds. A classic of mine is to get the yellowtail and make jalapeno yellowtail sashimi in a ponzu sauce. Very easy to make but very delicious flavor

This place might be one of the best seafood restaurant in the town. I would recommend fish and chips, clam chowder, and sashimi platter here. The fish (fish and chips) was made from cod, very flaky and delicious. Clam chowder was thick and creamy with bacon in it. Sashimi platter was also very good. Hamachi and salmon belly were very fresh and clean. The dish I was not impressed with was the Hawaiian Poke Bowl with spicy tuna and scallop. The spicy tuna had a fishy smell. The dish I was not impressed with The spicy tuna and scallop was ok.

Great menu! A friend recommended the Tuna melt. Damn...that's a solid sandwich. Oh and that chimichuri, @#$& icing on the cake(Noble Bread). Great quality seafood and good people.

Incredible destination for all seafood. Their raw bar was a highlight, fresh shucked oysters, tuna, scallops, and many other seafoods that are the freshest in the valley. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a seafood fix in the desert. Hatch chili tuna melt was incredible, and the roasted oysters were a must.

Not a bad kick back place. Tried out the Mediterranean Bowl with shrimp and fish and chips. Fish and chips were on point paired up with the Warrior IPA 👊🏼. The Mediterranean bowl was ok - the chickpeas were a bit too hard and the flavors of the shrimp seasoning did not compliment the bowl too much. There’s a cool side bar area and it’s order and sit. Folks there are super friendly and helpful.

My new favorite restaurant. Every-time I go I choose something new and everything has tasted great... The facility is beautiful, great place to have lunch or dinner and the team is on-point. I had Echo and Tiffany take care of me on multiple occasions and they treat their customers as if you where dining at home. They both are excellent hosts, friendly and add to the positive experience. Tonight I had the Hawaiian Poki bowl, clam chowder, oysters and also fish and chips...😋 Yes I can eat.... :) Overall excellent food, ambience, experience and best seafood in the valley. Highly recommend. -Michael

Read really good thing at this place, so we decided to give it a try. We had the clam chowder, tuna melt, sword fish tacos with a kale salad. I would say the best of these was the clam chowder. I would go back for that. We thought the tuna melt wasn't anything too special. It was almost too dry from the toasting and the sword fish was a little over cooked. The atmosphere and service was good. However, the only thing that I would order again is the chowder...

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch today for a quick bite . Food was great and fresh . We enjoyed the nice pleasant atmosphere and wonderful friendly staff ! My favorite was the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were colossal size and fresh and absolutely delish. The picture doesn’t give justice to the true size. Manager stopped by and was friendly and provided excellent service . We will be back.

Hype is built into the price point. Don't get me wrong my Tuna confit sandwich tasted good, but the parts with the best tastes and flavor was everything but the tuna. It relies solely on the fat in the buttered bread, avocado, and aioli. Honestly it felt like it was trying to mask the tuna when I expected tuna to be the well seasoned star. I think I just leave wondering, what was achieved preparing it confit? This $17 sandwich ( which came with a bag of Boulder Canyon Kettle chips) Was maybe $12 in value for dining out. It's a large sandwich easily split between two people. Actually quite unwieldy. Definitely not something I'd go back. Guess I got the wrong thing?

My seafood dreams have finally come true. Omg the grilled oysters are to die for and the shrimp so delicious. If I could afford it, I would eat here every day. Service was excellent - couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
