I waited quite a few months to write this review as I didn't want to rate this campground out of anger. Bottom line up front : we packed up and left mid stay as we felt very unsafe here with our children. The check in lady (sister of the owner who helps them out seasonally) was extremely nice. She was kind, accommodating, and friendly. We stayed a few nights in the spring to visit local national parks. It wasn't too full - location is near the roadway and a horse paddock so one side of the campground gets a smell from horse manure. Not anything they can control, but see where your site is before parking. It's an older park, but they maintain it well. There is a playground and a pool. We used only the playground as my kids can play easily without an adult needing to control their every move. The internet is fine, but we need a secure network so we used our own network for work purposes. Unfortunately, one afternoon as our kids played at the playground, and as I was outside cleaning, kids came back saying the owner told them they could not be at the playground without an adult sitting there too. The campground is dead and we can see and hear them from the site, but fine. Okay, no problem... So husband takes a chair over to have eyes on and still work on his laptop as kids play. The host in the golf cart then proceeds to whip around the campground and an older man a few sites down comes to our site with his dog and tells me my kids are alone and need supervision at the playground. He had gone over and talked to my kids privately about this, but as my husband (watching them) couldn't hear his words he thought he was being friendly to the kids. I tell the man my husband is over watching them and he tells me no he's not and I'm shook he's fighting me when I know my husband is there watching. The man is allowing his dog to jump all over our front bumper which got scratched up and I told him to get his dog off the new truck that was only 2 months old (which we had to get buffed out). He told me he knew the owner and I knew then the owner had talked privately with him to complain about our kids and this man took it upon himself to unjustly harass us. The owner then comes over in her golf cart to tell my husband he can't sit where he is sitting because the grass edge is near a campsite. I explain we can't use our internet any farther away and we needed to sit here to watch the kids on the swings as she requested. She was upset, but left. We immediately packed up and left as we felt it was a very unsafe environment for kids. We full time travel and love KOA campgrounds for their family atmosphere, but this place is down right scary. Moved down the road to another place for peace of mind.

Wow by far my favorite journey Koa visit. Staff was nothing short from amazing. We got escorted to our campsite, which was very clean. While walking the campground we had the honor of meeting the owners. We complemented them on how well taken care of their campground was. Very nice couple, they answered any questions we had. Will be back to visit. Thanks Felicia and Ryan for making our stay here well worth it. By the way I love my hat from the little office store.

We enjoyed this little campground! Not many campers when we were there. We had a great time in their pool! We came to Arizona to check out cactus on trails. Seeing so many throughout the park was nice. Very friendly staff easy check in. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here in 2019, the owners were new and already fixing up the campground. I have to stay they did a great job. Some sites have concrete pads now, with lounge chairs and picnic tables and fire pits. The gravel sites have lots of gravel so no worries about rain!!!!!! All sites have picnic tables and fire pits. I enjoy the trees at most of the sites, and the big cacti and bushes through out the park. My last park I stayed at was so plain with just some palm trees. So it's so nice to walk out your door and have the feeling of being out in nature!!!

Our visit started out great thanks to Shanika who checked us in and was very helpful and pleasant to work with. We were packing up and getting ready to leave and the maintenance guy stopped by asked if we were staying another night and I advised nope we are packing up and just finishing a few things before we leave. He advised okay so you need a late check out i said when is check out? He advised 11am, i advised oh i thought it was 12n. I advised we should be done in less than an hour. He chuckled and said okay that be $10 per hour. I said your joking? Than he got rude. I joked it's cause your busy, he got even more rude it doesn't matter its policy. Now mind you we have been rving for 15+ years and all the rv parks we have stayed at have been very good about an hour over as long as no one was waiting for the campsite. It's not like we were purposely staying over it was an honest mistake. Hence the reason for 2 stars. But to give a review on the campground it's self, it was clean, lots of greenery and when we stayed there, it was pretty empty maybe 8-10 campers. The laundry facility was clean as well and utilized coins which is nice instead of the card system. We did not use any other amenities there. But note it does have alot of highway noise and train noise all night long. Note: rate was $61.13 for 1 night, so with the extra fee it was $71.13 for 1 night.

Rented the cabin and LOVED it! Super cute and worth the money! Wish the bathroom wasn’t so far but was worth it all around! The shower was nice and hot too!

Wow! What a great stop along the 10! The sites were super spacious and we even had our own little patio and deck. Although we arrived after hours, they were kind enough to give us a call to make sure we knew where our paperwork was. Very quiet and peaceful! Highly recommend!! The pool is heated and the dog run is HUGE! A+!!

This is a typical KOA, but we can sit this several steps above normal. The camp post was very friendly and accommodating. We have stayed at several RV parks in the area and consider this one the best you cannot go wrong with KOA most times because they have high standardsand campgrounds mustard here to them

Very nice campground. Friendly staff escorted us to our site. Spacious sites are crushed stone with picnic table. Some sites have concrete patios and even individual dog pens. We had no trouble getting level. All utilities worked as expected. Good WiFi signal. Good T-mobile signal. Wide roads are crushed stone and easy to navigate in any size rig. The park is nicely landscaped with trees, shrubs and cactus. Everything is very well maintained. Good signage from the highway. We were only here for one night, but would have been happy to stay longer.

Had a wonderful 2-night stay here at the campground in May of 2023. We checked in very late at night with no problem. Sites were very clean and easy to get in and out of with a big rig. We felt the sites were a generous size. The pool was sparkling clean and refreshing. Nice doggie park and play area for the kiddos. Highly recommend!!

Another great KOA. The staff is super friendly, the park is very clean. I grabbed a site with a concrete patio that included a clean circular polywood table, 4 chairs, plus two very comfortable rocking chairs, a fire ring and BBQ. They even have wood privacy fences between some of the sites. Strong wifi. Great laundry, cute dog play area, easy in/out from I10. Oh! AND a very thoughtful dedicated walkway so you never have to walk through people's sites. Highly recommend

I don’t have a lot of comparisons because I am new to RVing but we loved this KOA! This was a first for me and our two dogs. One of the dogs is literally scared of everything. We stayed at one of the sites with the dog fencing and it was amazing. The scared dog handled it beautifully. I wish every location could be this good. From their initial welcoming to our check out they were friendly and helpful. Thumbs up!

Stayed in a cabin in this KOA in May for a couple nights — it was the perfect midway point between Phoenix and Tucson. My kids and I had a great time. Check in was easy with friendly staff; there’s a cute store onsite with all the essentials too. The cabin had all the essentials (fridge, clean towels, microwave, A/C, etc.) and bathrooms were close by and clean. My young boys loved the playground, the pool, and the swing in front of the cabin. The owner was friendly and even gave us a late checkout. All in all, a terrific place. Highly recommend!

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. The grounds are very nice and are kept extremely clean. The owners and staff are very polite and helpful. We've had a deluxe patio pull-through each visit and the patios have been spacious, containing a table and 4 chairs, a fire pit with two chairs and a small end table, and a charcoal grill. Even with all that, there remains room for us to set up our propane grill and cooking table. They have a large play area, with plenty of activities for children and adults. The laundry room is immaculate. The office store is stocked with some good items, in case you forgot to bring the condiments or snacks. There's also a room filled with tables and chairs for assembling puzzles or playing games, and two bookcases of books.

This is a very nice campground. The sites are spacious and the little patio we had with our site was very cool. Everything was well maintained and the park is kept very clean. Last but most important, the staff is incredibly friendly here - everyone did their job with a smile. A very well run campground, we will definitely be back.

Did not plan on stopping but I-10 closed due to a major wreck. The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. Just stayed the one night, enjoyed the pool, and would definitely stay there again. On the downside, there did seem to be a lot of flies, probably due to the horses next door.

We didn’t stay overnight but stopped by in transit because we desperately needed to refill our water, and I am so glad that we happened upon this wonderfully managed location. In addition to it being very reasonably priced, the owners and staff are so friendly and professional. What a delightful stop! The campground is clean, and on our way out, we saw the coolest pet playground I’ve ever seen at a campground.

This KOA Campground is top-notch!! Long, wide tidy sites. Wooden privacy fences, deck with table/chairs and other chairs with table between by the fire pit. Some sites have their own dog pen with cover for shade. Maintenance Mike was welcoming, helpful and informative. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. For once there was no litter at our site nor any where on the grounds. Restrooms/showers spotless and nicely decorated. Good water pressure and hot water. Laundry good size and clean. Picacho State Park was a beautiful place to see with a variety of walks/hikes/climbs and picnic spots. Casa Grande Ruins was an interesting and fascinating experience too. Highly recommend this campground. Oh, also, the hummingbirds! Fun to watch and wonder at their remarkable gifts.

Got in late, leaving early. Seems to be a very large and well accommodating KOA. I read reviews before and during to ensure the area was safe, but I noticed a lot of good reviews and a few bad ones. Note that the reviews I read speak about unregistered guests, which there is a sign as you come I. That says Registered Guests Only beyond this point. Clearly. Then the 5MPH signs are everywhere. And the paper you receive, if you bother to read it, states plainly no Marijuana and no visible alcohol. It’s a nice stop on the way to your destination. Enjoy it for just that and thank you for keeping it well maintained. Noise is loud because it’s location to the freeway and yes I thought I heard a train. Cool. That’s part of road tripping. The freeway is conveniently close for getting back on the road.

Campground was fine, only downfall was spotty wifi. Worked pretty well later evening but through the day kept getting knocked off unreliable. Well kept grounds and friendly staff.

Just a great experience all-around! Friendly staff. Cool campsite with dog run made setup super easy. Great old school playground that my daughter loved, with a fun sandbox. I love campgrounds that are older, but clearly well maintained & loved by the owner.

This place rocks ! Great friendly staff that takes pride in their work and it shows. Store, laundry area, showers, restrooms were spotless. Showers worked well. Pool was clean and a nice temp. Grounds were well manicured hand raked ,, as well as sports areas. Drives were raked as well making for a smooth drive. There is considerable noise from the highway and train but not unbearable. Fun attractions in the area.

Great place to stay. Spent ten days or so. Wonderful family business. They really take pride in their campground. They have more than your average Koa journey in amenities. Spots are level and spacious enough. I would definitely recommend this campground
