Hands down beat authentic Mexican restaurant in Gilbert. We had the guacamole accompanied by the chups and salsa served as your seated. Guacamole was chunky and no fruit added to it like other local places. Salsa has a bite but not hot. Carne asada on the presidente plate reminded me of being in Mexico. The presidente plate comes with Carne asada, enchilada and Chile relleno... ALL absolutely wonderful and the borrocho beans as well as the rice were excellent. Wife had the tacos and includes 3 tacos.. Carne asada, carnitas and shrimp... wow!! After a few ice cold draft beers with dinner we capped it off with churros..church's... mmmmmmmmm and a tres leches dessert drink as well as an adult Mexican coffee... Our bartender/server Marshall topped it all off. Finally, Mexican food without New Mexico or Santa Fe or Tex Mex anywhere on the menu nor hindering the authentic flavors of true Mexican food. Amazing experience

You must try the street corn! Loved their smokey flavored salsa with the chips brought to your table with some water as soon as you're seated. The famous carnitas, not so famous in my opinion. They were a little dry. The nachos were a definite hit. The staff were all exceptional. We got there a little early so we were seated immediately but it quickly filled up with several families waiting.

Starting off with the chips and salsa, they were very good. The salsa has a smoky depth to it and is delicious. Chips are nice and crispy! Whatever you do, get the carnitas cheese crisp! It is DELICIOUS!! All of the flavors mix together so well for a combination of savory and spicy, it’s so good!! We also had the chicken fajitas and they were fantastic. There was a lot of chicken and veggies, I took half of it home! Really great food, and the service was also wonderful… very friendly, attentive and timely! We will definitely be back!

Isabel's Amor is a really wonderful mexican kitchen that has great seating, ambience, service, and food. I have never been disappointed in coming to this nice sit down eatery. The staff is very attentive, efficient and pleasant. The food is surprisingly fresh and innovative without being stupidly odd (no french truffle bagets filled with oyster glaze and picante over carne asada with rare mini corn waffers). Just good , stylish mexican food entrées that are fresh, and taste great. I have tried their amazing tacos, their excellent carne asada, chimichangas, and loved their amazing protein bowls (really excellent). The food never disappoints, and the stagf seems to be helpful everytime I visit. The area, seating and facility is really nice. It's a genuine date destination, lunch meeting spot or family gathering spot. The prices are a bit higher than chain mexican food sit-down restaurants, so you will want to consider that if you are on a tight budget. The only negative I have encountered at this restaurant is that the last few visits I have seen the occasional fly buzzing around the inside seating tables. This is an important thing for them to fix. That said, and assuming they take care of that one issue, I will definitely be back.

Loved this place. The chips were thin and crispy and the salsas had good flavor. I ordered the carnitas plate. It was AMAZING. For drinks I ordered the Isabel's Especial and and then had an Añejo on the rocks. Both were phenomenal. I would definitely go back.

GEM in heart of Gilbert… I've been coming here for few years ... Great quality good... Delicious. Super friendly staff.. Update 11-25-2023: New menu … prices increased… FOOD QUALITY and PORTION DECLINED… ORDERED CARNE ASADA burrito…. Small quantity of meat .. filled with beans with little avocado … this place will be off my list for future visits.. TOO bad really liked it ….

House margaritas are a must try!! They are flavorful and pack a punch!! We went for my birthday and this place didn’t disappoint!! Food was tasty, loved their chips and salsa and the service was good!! Cute place with a nice bar area that you can sit comfortably at or get a table!! Prices are a bit higher than your typical Mexican food place, but it’s worth a visit!! Let me say again, the house margaritas are a must try!!

There was 7+ a high chair in our party. The waiter was great and attentive. The food was really really good! Kids were happy and adults were happy. Definitely give it a try! Everything tasted so fresh and the best Mexican rice I've ever had

I have been here a couple of times and I just love this place! It has an upscale feel but anything goes as far as attire. The food is fresh and great quality, and the appearance is beautiful. The last time I went I met a friend for a few drinks. They have a wonderful assortment of well and draft liquor. I had the red sangria and it was perfect! Of course the chips and salsa are a great addition.

Great margaritas, I had the chicken salad, very large salad definitely enough for two people. My husband had an enchilada and tacos, Very tasty. 4 stars on the atmosphere just because it was a little loud inside.

I would definitely go back Compared to other restaurants we have been to in the area, there is no doubt Isabel's Amor offers a GREAT value with very good food. My Rating: 58 out of 60 Outstanding! You have to try this restaurant!

We love Isabel's Amor. The cheese crisp is by far the best one we've ever had. We also love the Tres Amigos taco plate. We love taking friends and relatives to Isabel's Amor when they are visiting as the ambiance and service is great casual fun. Highly recommend, keep up the great work!

We ate a delicious lunch on the deck. It was breezy, but still comfortable. The menu has plenty of traditional Mexican dishes given the restaurant's own special twist. The food was really good, starting with chips and salsa and ending with offered desserts. The service was excellent and attentive. The interior atmosphere is very nice, but the exterior is more utilitarian. I would definitely eat here again!

Cute little spot for good Mexican food. Our hostess lady night was super sweet and accommodating to our booth request. Food was hot and tasted great. The salsa was amazing. Reminded me of the ones I grew up with. Just the right amount of kick! Would come again!

What a great find. Visiting AZ from Indiana. Stopped by here for dinner. Fantastic atmosphere and amazing food. Ordered the mixed soft shell tacos and several appetizers including the street corn (amazing) and guacamole dip. Definitely recommend. Happy hour menu is also a treat.

Great food! Great service! Really cool place to just end a week and relax! It's a bit spicy if you like the heat. Their salsa is higher than just medium. But it's all great!

Recently expanded to include a tequila bar, this restaurant is a great spot for fresh Mexican food and great drinks. Moderately priced, lunch and dinner. Comfortable, but limited, patio outdoor seating. Super friendly staff.

Service was quick, and their wait staff was so polite. My parents, who can be picky about Mexican food places, enjoyed their plates immensely. We'll be back 😋

Service very good! Food, not impressive at all. Sorry for the 3 star but I've been at much better and authentic places.
