We were scheduled to check in March 4 - March 6th 2023. We arrived, I got a very strange vibe from the hotel desk. The actual hotel front desk was in a restaurant and the door was locked. I checked in. I was charged $50 deposit which is fine. However. They also charged me an extra $4 on accident. I got the keys to my room. I went in there was a sunken in bed in the middle of the room barley any light. NOTHING like the pictures. There was also no lock on the door. And the connecting door. I immediately went back to the front desk and asked for my refund as I did not feel safe staying there. The man at the front desk assured me it’s safe as his room was the conjoined to mine. WHAT. I’ve been fighting with OYO for over a month to get my refund. We call two times a week and send emails and are assured the refund is coming. However instead of putting the refund back on my card they want my bank account information. Which is not safe at all. Just got off the phone with them again, now they want me to send my back account information over an unsecured email.

Don't dismiss my super bad experience kept trying to make me prepaid for the room before I even saw the hotel. Glad I didn't was meet Outside by a very nasty employee who tried to shoo me away like I was a wild dog. I'm not kidding he literally made the hand gesturesSo I will never stay at 1 of their businesses everSo I will never stay at 1 of their businesses ever.

As soon as we got to the hotel the outside looked horrible. The grass was overgrown, no water in the pool, people living at the motel, our room smelled like smoke as soon as we walked in, the toilet did not flush all the way, the bathroom door barely shut (you had to push it really hard to close), none of the outlets worked in our room, tv remote barley worked and it just was not what was advertised on their website. We did not feel safe at all at this hotel specially with our 18 month old. We left as soon as we got back from dinner and went to another hotel. Disputing the charge due to the fact that we did not stay there at all.

Room was hot when walked in AC was running at 80°. The pool didn't have any water in it. The mini fridge only worked in the freezer not the refrigerator. And the hot water was barely warm.

There is a reason why this hotel is rated 2 stars. It should be zero. There is a pool with no water in it. Dirty rooms and an environment not suitable for families. You cannot get in touch with anyone only by phone IF YOU ARE LUCKY. The police were also there. They will not issue a refund after a myriad of issues were documented and photographed. Stay away from this place at all costs.

The photographs of the facility are beautiful with immaculate rooms, a gorgeous pool, breakfast facilities, and bright and shiny Florida sunshine, so booked a two night stay.But the sign is half way torn down,and around the back there were shady people in a couple cars who yelled at me as I drove by. There were rooms with doors broken into, doors with no doorknobs or locks, broken windows, and torn down curtains, and all of it was a dingy, disgusting mess. The owner then tacks on fees $35 for pets and, apparently, $30 for a resort fee, none of which is in the advertisement nor in reservation forms. Apparently because the owner told me to leave before we got to that. Fine,but then he charged me for the room on my cards. Been referred to the Florida AG, but we'll see. DO NOT BOOK ROOMS HERE. IT IS ALL A LIE.

Booked a room for my employee here and they denied him entry and told him he would have to rebook as a walk in and pay higher rates. When we left to go to a different hotel they charged us full price for no show. Very dissatisfied for the employees lack of care when they could have easily solved the issue .

After refreshing lukewarm shower I tried to get my deposit back for about 3 hours before I gave up. Roadway up the road a mile or so is much nicer and often cheaper. don’t believe the price that you see on here that is not what you’ll pay when you show up.

The hotel stunk. The toilet did not flush properly. The grass was so overgrown . It looked like a scene from a horror film. THERE WAS BLACK HAIR ALL OVER THE BEDDING. I have blonde hair..... This place is dreadful.... the smoke detector just fell off of the wall and when it did we noticed that it had never been hooked up the wires have never even been hooked up and there was no battery in the device.... How unsafe is that

Photo's were very misleading. Got to the hotel relatively late, there was insufficient lighting throughout the entire parking lot. It was very difficult to see the room numbers. The outside of the hotel was dirty and dilapidated. Ended up not even entering the room, due to the outside appearance and decided to drive two hours home. My expectations were not high, however, it was in much worse condition than expected.

Where do I start, I'll avoid OYO Hotels for life, this is my first and last... Had to call to get someone to the front desk, told I had to give a $50 cash deposit (not stayed when booked thru online service), then could not come back for deposit til 9:20 am, as that is when they open in the am. I usually like to get on the road by 8:00 am, so today I'm an hour and a half late getting started. No ice machine around, no soft drink machine, nor snack machine, so make sure, if you must stay here to bring whatever you need with you. Saving grace for the motel is that the rooms are not bad, well, that is if you don't mind listening to the neighbors as walls must have no sound deadening. Pool is empty, restaurant closed, lawns have not been cut in at least a couple weeks and trash all over. It was late, paid non-refundable charge online, so stayed anyway... Avoid if possible, but at least you'll get a soft bed, wifi, mini-fridge, microwave and a hot shower...

My room was clean, quiet and I think the staff tried thier hardest with what they had to work with. I stayed 4 nights and got the peace and quiet I wanted. It's an older hotel going through renovations but it served the purpose and I would stay there again

Front desk closes at 11pm and I booked the room an couldn't get in. Couldn't get customer service to find my reservation. Couldn't get someone to help me or refund me. Please avoid this place at all costs.

If you don’t want to go thru a terrible experience do not book here! This place it’s literally falling apart. The bathroom it’s disgusting everything it’s nasty! The cuatomer service it’s the same guy that does everything so if you need something you have to wait a minimum of 30 minutes it is simply weird! Somebody tried to open the room in the middle of the night! Just to resume you will end up with trauma!

So, I just called about 30 minutes ago to make a reservation. I asked if it was ok to bring a technically Emotion Support Animal. (fully Registered Emotional Support Animal but person that ESA is for is not coming with. ESA is for our son and our son is going to be staying home with another family member for school.) I asked quite a few questions but the ESA question is the most pertinent and that I asked about weekly rate. (which they said I was getting a weekly rate but i wasnt.) I cant remember how many hundred times the reservation employee said dont worry about it. They wouldnt let me talk to their manager (to confirm we could bring our sons ESA with us) and just kept saying the call is being monitored and recorded and its been documented that you will be allowed to bring the animal for an additional $35 flat fee. I made the reservation and immediately called building manager as instructed. and explained the situation. "Since your son will not be with you and the ESA is registered to him, he would be classified as a pet. (this is 100% accurate i checked with the lawyer we have for this exact matter) I told the building manager that we will be canceling our reservation immediately and hung up. redialed for cancelation. I waited for the person to get on the phone. (he was talking to his coworkers for about 5-10 seconds before answering "hello" Yes Id like to cancel my reservation. "why do you want to cancel your reservation" I was told by the building l couldnt bring what he classified as a pet. Can I please cancel my reservation. "the person you spoke to said that it was fine. " I talked to the building manager myself and because the person that the animal is registered for will not be with us, he is classified as a pet. (again 100% true) So can I please cancel my reservation. this went on for about another 5 rounds until i was put on hold, for a minute or two. and they cancelled my reservation. VERY unprofessional. WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AND I SUGGEST NO ONE ELSE DOES!

Shady area lots of tweakers around. I reserved 2 days and was not able to stay either. No where on the website does it say that you have to check in before 11 pm. We pulled up at 10:57 and no one could check us in cause they don’t have people 24 hrs. Had to get another hotel. The next morning I came and got the key for the next night. I told the worker we’d be coming in after 11 and he said to call if there were any problems. That night we went to the door and the key did not work after he assured me it’d be fine. I called many times with no answer. 0/10 on everything.

David the owner is useless. We were told 3 months ago by him that we would receive a refund as we did not even stay at the hotel and the police were present who said it wasn't a good time to check in. Also there was no pool as advertised. No-one answers the phone at this location. We drove back to the location with 3 other witnesses and the owner told us no problem that we would receive a refund under these circumstances of police activity along with a baby that was with us. A certified letter has been sent to the founder and board and multiple complaints have been filed. I look forward to hearing from Ritesh Agarwal. All this for less than $200. NEVER stay at this specific location as you will be hung up on as well. Lack of class and professionalism.

Giving this five stars not because of the amenities, but for 1) cleanliness 2) friendly staff 3) accessibility/proximity to Hwy 27. We came in late, after a spring training game in Lakeland, and drove up to a rather dark, empty and spooky looking building. Turns out it is being renovated. The second building was populated for sure. Fortunately we had a reservation. It was packed. Walked up stairs -- no elevator. All rooms have outdoor access. The parking is a bit of a walk, no big deal. The desk attendant walked us to our room and helped take a larger bag up the stairs. Thankful! I had no $ for a tip, but he remained super cheerful anyway and cheerfully waited till I found the room where he'd escorted my husband. Things are plain -- I think it's a newly renovated room and they might need to do a little bit of touchup on the paint jobs. I have been reading negative reviews, but I would stay here again if I was on this same road. The cleanliness and the comfortable bed are the biggest deals to me. The pool is not filled right now. And things are just a little ragged. But emphasizing the word clean! And convenient. They did take a $100 room deposit on top of the price of the room.

Place is under construction or remolding. Floors was dusting n dirty. Toilet made noise through the night. Air-conditioning needs upgrade also does noise. Control didn't work w tv had to do it manually. Over all CS was great. No pool. No accommodations. Due to remolding we were awake by banging n noise. Hopefully by next yr they better!

Stayed one time everything was great went to stay again tonight as it was the cheapest in the area got there and they refused to rent to us saying we trashed the room. and saying my three year old son peed the bed. My son is still in diapers and is autistic and I made sure he had a clean diaper on before he went to bed and when he woke up he was still dry. My husband and I took our own trash out of the room when we left we made sure there was nothing left in the room. They allow anyone to stay there even crack heads who were shooting up while working on a room that was being remodeled. Right above our room

I travel City to city and do reviews on local motels and hotels. I showed up and booked the room, and warily left my belongings in the room. Went to dinner came back none of my key cards worked. Went to the office and asked them to resolve it. They locked me out of the office and charged me for a full night plus deposit. These people are the absolute worst vultures. I have been from New York City to Miami to Chicago reviewing multiple locations. Mark my words don't ever stay here from one business owner/family man to another. When their competitors down the street heard of their behavior they were quite familiar with their stories, as well as the local law enforcement, and compensated me a room. Multiple avenues have been contacted along with multiple hotel review publications I am a part of, and these men are not going to be allowed to do this to people anymore... Save your extra $50 and call anyone else or sleep in your car.

Nice hotel besides they do NOT take reservations online!!! Do not waste your time or money they will steal your money!!! $200 down the drain because the website refuses to refund my money for the room I had to pay cash for because they do NOT take online reservations!

BEWARE: Confirm the price ahead of arrival, or expect to pay more than the advertised price. DON'T BOOK ONLINE IF YOU EXPECT TO ARRIVE AFTER 6PM - you may find a locked lobby. And the front desk doesn't open until 9AM! Noone answers the phone. So don't expect to get your $50 cash deposit back unless you're willing to delay your departure until 9:00.

The rooms are clean and basic.We rented for 10 days because I'm a travel nurse. ON THE 10TH DAY .I didn't get my room rerented on time by 6pm the night before and they made us leave saying we could not rent due to being "full".We were already in the room! The partial owner Sam then offered to rent a room for double the price and one that wouldn't accommodate our family. The man Sam is a complete jerk.He acts like he needs to rule with an iron fist..he has no pr skills .When I told him I thought it was messed up...he told me I cannot rent there no more. They took a 50 cash deposit and a 50 card deposit .I still have not seen my card deposit. There is one desk clerk there that is a gem..very attentive and polite.I believe his name is Asan..he allowed the kids(16 and 17) to get a new key while I was away an hour at work ..after SAM told them no.. Asan is professional ..has great pr skills and should run that hotel.. Sam almost had his own maid in tears..and she really works hard. So go there if you want..but book way in advance even for an extra day!

Good location, older hotel under new management and being renovated, basic place to stay but excellent price especially in this m day of $200/night and up motels that should cost half of what they charge. Stay here, get a good nights sleep and save money.

This motel is deceiving. The rooms appear nice at first but infested with roaches. I placed my clothes in the dresser drawers only to have roaches crawling thru them. Bathroom door came off the hinges my first night. Air conditioner smells moldy. The floors leave your feet black. This by far is the most disturbing, and disgusting place I've stayed. The owner SAM is creepy and wanders the establishment at late hours. No privacy everytime you leave your room he is mysteriously there. YOU ARE UNDER HIS SURVEILLANCE. Also they're renovating the motel at late hours of the night. Noisey pushing carts running saws. Keep going another 3 miles or so down 27 there's a much nicer hotel , more expensive but roaches aren't included in the price. The old saying you get what you pay for holds true to the Oyo at Dundee Florida.

A safe, clean budget hotel! These rooms are a good value is one is willing to accept some quirks due to the continued remodelling. This hotel is being renovated, so there are still some 'rough edges', such as the bathroom door not closing completely and excessive pressure from the shower head. It is a little noisy due to the proximity of the highway, but I slept well in th clean room with good AC. Great budget hotel.

Was ok I guess no food that was close no coffee, no cleaning, TV worked sometimes, no hot water to shower with, your manager was so busy trying to clean rooms he had no time for guests, grounds a mess. No pool , no anything, the only thing that was ok was the price. But after a week there never again. Was stuck because of my truck in the shop. Had no way to go anywhere else. 😕
