Unfortunately this was the worst Chinese food ever. Let me explain. The egg drop soup had zero taste. The spring rolls were tiny and looked like they came from the frozen food dept. The S&S Chicken was deep fried croquets over cooked. The egg foo young was terrible, the sauce was not even brown gravy. The fried rice looked and smelled like it was cooked on the same grill every other dish was cooked on. And to make it all just great, the crunchy noodles were stale beyond belief. Will never eat here again! Other than that it was great! Terrible!

Amazing food! I ordered orange chicken (which comes with steamed rice), vegetable fried rice, and crab rangoons. The orange chicken was absolutely delicious. There were even actual orange peels mixed in with it, which added to the great taste. The fried rice was very good, with a lot of vegetables in it. Crab rangoons had a perfect amount of good tasting crab meat in them. Portions are large, the food lasted me about 3 days, and it is very affordable :) definitely will order from here again!!

The sesame chicken was fire and the London was eh but is one of the better takeout Chinese places around

My go-to on Davis Island, always so fresh! Been going here since 2015. The veggies are perfectly tender crisp every time, the meals are never greasy, and the meats never over done, even the seafood which is hard to do when it still arrives at home perfectly tender and hot. It’s more of a take out place, not for sitting, they are very efficient and quick, never any issues with waiting or my orders not being exactly as expected. Love the plum tree!

Below the basic hole in a wall Chinese restaurant. I would not recommend this place for any anyone. For the price it is not worth the order. My order took almost an hour and that was me calling them to verify the order is still being accepted. Also to choose a quart vs pint on food is not worth the cost of trying this place when I could have gone to my go to Chinese place and got more for what I bought tonight. Spare ribs no meat, large side beef and broccoli was the same size as my combine sesame chicken. What’s the point of pint vs quart if the amount is the same.

I’ll never come here again. This place is gross, takes AT LEAST 30 min every time and it’s literally only 2 rude 10 year old kids who work the register every time I’ve ever came here, how is that even legal? I’m not kidding they’re like 10 years old MAX. Might be their parent shop but they don’t smile or say hello they always look mad, this place should be investigated.

Some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The food is so fresh & flavorful. The portion sizes are excellent, prices are fair, and service was so quick. The highlights of my meal were the steamed dumplings & wonton soup.

We ordered the lunch special sesame chicken w/ fried rice and Chinese vegetables w/ fried rice. The food resembles what you would receive at a Chinese buffet, but the flavor was ok. The food was also very hot and fresh. The reason for 3 stars instead of 5; the shrimp egg roll was extremely greasy, I had a puddle of grease at the bottom of the container it came in, and fried rice didn’t have much flavor.

It's a takeout! Food is great! No atmosphere required, only good food. I recently moved to Seminole Heights and cannot find Chinese take out that rivals Plum Tree. I coordinate my trips to Davis Islands to include a stop to pick up takeout.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Estimated delivery time was 30-45 minutes. Delivery kept getting pushed back. Phone wasn't answered. Took over an hour. I was about to cancel when we got the notification that our food was picked up. Food was warm, but lacked flavor. Dumplings were soggy. We were hoping it was going to be good, but we were disappointed with it.

This is the best Chinese food in davis island, The Sesame chicken is my favorite. And don't miss Egg rolls and dumplings, because these are handmade and taste really good.

I went here for lunch last week, and got the Chicken With Vegetables lunch special -- a pretty common dish at Chinese take-out places. It comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I figured I'd know what to expect. Well, I was wrong! This is the best Chinese take-out I've gotten in the Tampa Bay area since moving here in 2011. In the pork fried rice, the bits of pork were really flavorful. The egg roll was better than average but nothing special. The entree, though -- the sauce was tasty, the chicken was good, and the vegetables were fresh and crisp -- fresh and crisp strips of vegetable in my Chinese take-out I say! I never see that! The portion was enough to satisfy at lunch, and the tab came to $5.83. With a tip in the jar it was less than $7.00. Delicious Chinese food at Burger King prices! Winning!

I specifically ordered a pork egg roll but received a vegan egg roll and then only received one small rice for an order of two completely different entrees. Upon pick up 15 minutes after they said it would be ready, I finally received my order 45 minutes after ordering. Then when I called to rectify the situation they basically had nothing to say about their mess-up and offered no solution.

Love this place! Always a favorite of mine been coming here for 5 years now.

This is one of my favorite restaurants and also open late. This is the place for late night take out. The staff is quick and the food is great.
