So there's a lot of people saying that this is a kids coaster. It is definitely not a kids coaster. It is much a faster and pulls much more force than you would expect. I've been on a hundreds of roller coasters in my lifetime and this one actually caught me off guard by everybody saying it was a "kids coaster". No, it does not have massive drops, but the helixes are really strong and intense. This was more intense than any roller coaster at Disneyland. , It was a very short about 20 seconds, so that's up to you whether you decide how long you want to wait for the ride.

This is a kid-friendly ride in universal Orlando resort just beside Hogwarts castle, a mini roller coaster laid on Hagrid's pumpkin patch. You pass Hagrid's hut on the way in. You'll see the Hippogriff. So you sit on a hippogriff and go for a roll. It's fun. The wait times are not very long, it was 10 minutes for us. the catch is, we entered at the park at 915 and directly came to Hogsmeade village to take rides. Also, it gives you a nice view of the Hogwarts castle and Hogsmeade village. Rating - 5/10

This is NOT a thrill ride, since it’s primarily for little kids and it lasts for (only) about 45 seconds. The wait takes about 25 minutes and every minute you can hear a (slightly) humorous narration at the end of the ride!! Narrator: (soothingly) That’s it. Now, bow your heads. Tourists: (bow their heads) Narrator: (much louder) WELL DONE! GO ON THEN!

The flight of the hippogriff is a great first real rollercoaster for kids, however as an adult I really felt no need to go on it. It was faster than I expected and I loved the buckbeak figurine but I don’t feel the need to ride this again.

Cute kiddie ride. Not too enjoyable for adults

My 7 year old son rode this 6 or 8 times in a row. This was his favorite that day. The staff running it was very gracious and made our day very special. We didn't even get any photos because of it. He continued to talk about "bowing to the bird" as we passed.

Overall- a pretty solid, calmer coaster for the younger crowd. NOTE: If you are 6’2” or taller with long legs, you’re going to have trouble folding the lap bar down. I had to get creative to make that happen. It’s a short ride, so you won’t be uncomfortable for very long.

Part of the Harry Potter rides. A Roller coaster that’s more for smaller kids. Line was about 30 minutes. Ride was quick.

Would be a fun oller coaster if it was twice as long. Waiting 35 minutes in line for a 30 second ride was a let down

⭐Short, Thrilling, Magical - Don't Miss the Buckbeak Animatronic!⭐ Flight of the Hippogriff is the perfect thrill ride/mini-coaster for the whole family. Kiddos who find bigger thrills too intense will enjoy the moderate climbs, dives, and pin-to-your-seat turns. It's a surprisingly fast, but short ride (still far too intense for those with motion sickness or a fear of heights). Don't wait overly long in the queue for it (the Forbidden Journey ride, right across the way, is more deserving of a 1+ hour wait time). My favorite part of the ride is the hidden Buckbeak animatronic that you pass when first climbing to the top of the coaster. You have to ride in order to see it, and it will bow its head to you (just like in the books!). You'll also be treated to a bird's eye view of the Hogwarts Castle and surrounding attractions--though not for long, as the coaster dives shortly after peaking.

Good for families and kids who love Potter but aren’t big enough for the other Potter rides, but skip if you don’t want to wait for 45 minutes for the least unique ride in the park.

It’s a fun, cute ride. I love the hippogriff theme. It’s good for wanting to get used to roller coasters, because it’s not too tall or intense. However, it’s kind of short and doesn’t have a whole lot to it, so I wouldn’t go on it again if it has a very long line. But if it has a short line or if you want to get used to roller coasters, I recommend it.

30-50 min waiting time. Kids above age 6 will enjoy. A good ride.

Loved it. The flight of the Hippogriff combines a classic kid's coaster with a beautiful view of Howsrt Castle. The only thing is the waiting times. Does not worth more than 20'.

This is an excellent kiddo intro coaster. It's short, like that was fun...wait that's it? It's well balanced and plain fun. The first drop and corner it the best. As an adult I would go on it again and again. When we went there was like no line so we asked to go again and got the ok. 2x it was. Also note the seating area is a bit tight. Not too big a deal. Go do it! One of the better rides in the park.

I loved this, might be a kids ride, but it was fairly fast nice to have a break from the more intense rides, as a single rider I had literally no wait, so well worth it if you want a quick fun ride.

Perfect roller coaster for kids. Not sure about waiting more than 30-40 min. Very quick.

Good way to catch a breath if one of the bigger rides makes you sick. Nice view on Hogwarts.

This is a great short ride for kids and adults. This is a good ride if you have extra time or waiting for a wait time to go down.

It’s an alright coaster but lacking theming and there is really no need for it when you have hagrids. The helix is fairly intense but nothing to boast about. Good for younger kids tho

Great ride for kids and has some cool stuff to look at. The 3 loops at the end are a little rough for my motion sickness bit kids will love it.

A fun representation of the Book 4 hippogriff riding lessons. There's an animatronic Buckbeak, and a cabin style overhang. It's a good attempt at helping you experience a classic Hogwarts book experience. The roller coaster is mediocre and more designed toward children. However if you're a lover of everything Harry Potter, you'll have to ride this at least once.
