Room was very pleasant, lovely view, instantly comfortable beds and good air conditioning when needed. Food and service was great and serve sizes generous. Staff in general are exceptionally helpful .. couldn't fault them. Hotel is conveniently located and felt like 'coming home' each time we walked in the door. Wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend the Grand Hotel. Nice pool too!

The staff couldn't be nicer and would help however they could. The views from the room were fantastic and uninterrupted. The attached restaurant and room service food was top notch. There's also an area in reception dedicated to tour/activity bookings which is really handy. It's a really central location with everything you need and a great pool too. Would definitely stay here again!

Vanuatu is beautiful, you get a good view of the bay from Port Vila, here. Be sure to get the early rooms like 101 - 113, 201- 213, etc as I found the rooms directly above the casino have poor air filtering, hence cigarette-tainted air. Very generous food servings, just entree and mains, or mains and desert were quite filling. Be sure to try the seafood platter if it is available (seafood in stock) as Vanuatu observes strict fishing laws. Great service, friendly staff.

Delicious meals! I was very impressed with the quality of the meals here and the service. The setting is beautiful over looking the water and irirki island. It was however a tad expensive. Our family of 6 cost around $350 aud and one child only had a bowl of chips. They do have a happy hour, so I would plan my meal around that if you wanted to save some money. They also have a small casino with around 6 tables and maybe 50 pokie machines. Definitely a fun environment and they serve drinks at the tables.

Really welcoming staff at the grand including Natalie who made sure our luggage was safe and was always friendly and helpful. David and the staff in the restaurant were amazing as well. Food was great and so prompt. Thanks for making our dinner out so enjoyable

The service was amazing, the staff super friendly and polite, but it was not pleased with my lunch. Some of the options on the menu weren’t available. I asked for steak as second option, it has a weird taste. I had a room booked to spend a night, but i cancelled, the hotel is nice but looks outdated, needs some refreshment urgently. Beautiful views from the patio tho.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, air conditioning works very well. Not too smoky, pleasant surprise given that it's a casino. Only 2 issues: both elevators smelled like a mix of vomit and air freshener, and the maids wake you up at 8am if you don't use the DND sign.

We had lunch here. Delicious, however as we didnt' stay I can't comment on the rooms. The lunch special was good value and so yummy. You could choose if you wanted a lime drink or a glass of wine with your meal, both were good options. I had the curry and it was yummy.

We were very impressed by the quality of service we received. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were tasty and generous portions. Friendly and helpful staff. We stayed on the 2nd floor which were new rooms. The harbor view is beautiful and room is equipped with everything necessary. The location of the hotel is good, near shops and variety of restaurants. The hotel helps with taxi service for excursions. Only the internet was slow most of the times but we will definitely recommend.

Grand hotel was a very relaxing stay. This is the perfect place for a work trip in vila. It is right in the center of town and very convenient. Place was very quiet, staff were super helpful and friendly, and room service was very quick and helpful! The room was very clean, comfortable bed, and a beautiful view from the window. Loved my stay. Will definitely be back!

This place has great service (lovely staff), I had a spacious room with a really comfortable bed and a view of the marina (towards Iririki Island) from my little balcony. The room was clean and comfortable, air con worked perfectly and the wifi was great. Location was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

Wife and I stayed here twice, each stay one night. The rooms were fresh, clean, very comfortable and the view was awesome out towards the Harbour. Reception staff were friendly, full of smiles and efficient at what they did. Ground floor bar staff and restaurant staff were jovial, friendly and genuinely interested in your travel movements around Vanuatu, very chatty. Food (Quality, portion and taste) and beverages were excellent. Would definitely stay here again. We obtained an awesome on-line rate which was far better than some of the other accommodation booking sites

Clean, comfortable and so close to everything. The pool is a must. Views from the balcony are just amazing, you can watch the sunset over iririki island. The food is fresh using local organic ingredients.

The Grand is an older worn out hotel that is just perfect. Everything is clean, the staff really helpful. The buffet breakfast was adequate and plentiful. The view is a million dollar view. We will be back in a couple of days and will happily return.

Best place to stay in Port Villa! Good food, view, service and drink with lots of Aussie and international styled foods. Very comfortable rooms - make sure to check out the bar during happy hour for 2for1 drinks and pop into the casino located in the base of the hotel. Will be back!

Simply lovely. Staff were all so accommodating, always with a smile on their face which is what makes a trip. Located in a prime position with a supermarket across the road, room service available. It is not your resort like in Fiji but it is clean, neat, tidy and well kept. We loved it so much and I am fussy, lol, that we have booked to return.

We visited here awhile ago, but I'm only just getting around to writing the review now. It's in a good location in the centre of town, but if you're a tourist you may not be used to smoking being allowed inside a casino. I couldn't stay long.

The lifts had a musty smell. We booked a queen bed but was given twin beds instead. Clean room with good AC and nice balcony to enjoy the harbour view. No instructions provided on how to use the room safe. Good blackout curtains but the AC digital wall controller switch had a bright green light which we were unable to turn off. Resorted to covering the green light with a cloth at night so we could sleep better. Hot water shower with good pressure. Good and fast drainage.

Panorama rooms are excellent . The views are beautiful. The room was very roomy, comfortable beds, great balcony. Air conditioning worked well, thank goodness. The staff are wonderful, happy, helpful, and caring. Restaurant is great, room service is wonderful , especially, after a long day out on tours, just nice to relax, with great food, out on the balcony. We were here for 9 nights, we enjoyed every one of them. Thank you to all the staff. 😍😍😍

Good location but rooms are pretty small.

Our Air Vanuatu flight was delayed by 4 days so we had the unexpected delight of staying at The Grand Hotel and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff are super nice, the views are to die for, it’s in a brilliant, central location, the food is amazing and it’s really affordable. What’s not to love? Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!

Excellent lunch though sometimes takes a little time but usually worth the wait. Staff are good.

The hotel was really good and had everything that we needed during the stay. The Staff at the hotel are exceptional especially Willie, Ron and the House keeping staff. They go above and beyond to help the customers. If I ever comeback to Vanuatu that would be to stay at this hotel. Keep doing the good work.

LOCATION! If you want to be in town close to all entities including supermarket, fruit and veg market aswell as shops and craft souvenirs this place is the place to book. Looking at the photos online really sells the Hotel upon arriving it was a different story, the front facade of the Hotel doesn't do it any favours, whilst the rooms are clean and offer all.the creature comforts they do look like they are ageing. The staff were all fantastic and friendly, always happy to assist and have a chat, nothing seemed to hard and I always looked forward to seeing them for breakfast and dinner, such nice people. This is a hotel and casino, so expect the costs of food and drink to be more expensive than walking across or down the street, but I can't complain when I did eat in, it was great. Being somewhat French influenced the breakfast had a lot of breads and pastries, but all were delicious. Careful of the Local beer Tusker, it is a heavy with a lot of sugar, so have too many and you will wakeup with a headache! The pool and views to iririki island and the bay are breathtaking, fantastic to sit around the pool with a beer and watch the sunset. The hotel whilst functional and comfortable and convenient in location, does need a Bit of a update considering the prices that are charged. I stayed outside of any Australian school holidays during winter for work and per night price was not as I imagined after staying.

Not sure what makes this grand, as the lobby area is tired and rather dark.

Wonderful friendly staff, only complaint is the internet. Will definitely be back next year.

Clean rooms excellent service good food vfm

It was much better than I expected, the service was very welcoming, the air conditioning was excellent and the view was superb.

What is advertised is not provided on the menu. I ordered a vegetarian wrap - comes with Feta, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, ratatouille and what i received was thawed vegetables (corn, carrot and peas) wrapped in lettuce with the most plain and disgusting sauce I've ever had. Didn't even bother to try to eat the second portion of the wrap. Waste of 1000vt i could have spent elsewhere on decent food.

Nice spot for a western style lunch. Prices reasonable. Pool and views very good. Toilets clean. Casino busy.
