One of the best places to stay in Albania. It’s run by a very warm family. A perfect place to relax and explore the beautiful surroundings of the Vjosa River. The restaurant serves a fresh daily menu of traditional dishes which are deliciously prepared. They even made delicious çofte on request. The rooms are clean and the views from the pool and restaurant are amazing!

A real hidden gem. We unexpected fell in love with the place, and by extension with Albania. The family running the hotel and restaurant are incredibly warm, hospitable, generous and kind. Arber is exceptionally attentive and helpful, and speaks great English so communication was so easy. He set up a private spot for us to lounge by the river. The food was breathtakingly delicious, seasoned and cooked to perfection. They even produce their own olive oil, tomatoes, etc (80% of the ingredients served in the restaurant are produced by them) and the chef’s cooking brings out the naturally delightful flavours of every ingredient. Bonus: super adorable and gentle dogs — a dog lover’s paradise! Hope to keep coming back whenever we’re back in Albania.

We loved our stay. The surroundings are peaceful and quite. It’s a good location to do day trips and discover some sightseeings in Albania (I do recommend a car). The place is family owned, they are really kind and helpful. Besides the rooms there’s also a restaurant. I do recommend to eat there at least one night, but actually we ate there every night for the whole week we stayed. Everyday the food was fresh, tasty and local, same for the breakfast. The homemade ice tea is really good!

Best food in the area by far but also some of the best food in the country. Nice view. Nice decor. Desert was not good. Tried 2 of the 3 options both not good. The rest of the experience makes me still give 5 stars. If there was an option I would give 4.5

Best dinner + wine and breakfast we had in Albania on our 8 day holiday. The swimming pool is a nice bonus.

Everything was exceptional. A perfect place to recharge while enjoying the beautiful scenery full of trees, the river a few steps away and on top of that some excellent food and wine! The staff was outstandingly helpful and friendly.

Awesome view of the river. The entrance to the hotel rooms was beautiful and gave me a feeling of Tuscany. Rooms very cosy and well arranged with comfortable beds. The staff is amazing, great service, great dinner menu and delicious breakfast. Although there are not much things to do in Tepelene, the guesthouse is amazing and you can spend a few days and the pool and in the gardens.

family owned hotel/guest house. Nice family. Very good good and hospitality. Great location and great views. Have access to the river. Cute cats and dogs! Room where modern and clean. What more could you asked for!

We just stopped by for lunch. It’s so beautiful overlooking the river, the food was all fresh and absolutely delicious and I cannot speak highly enough about the owners. The most hospitable, kind family. 10/10 would recommend.

Hotel Lord Byron was a great place to stay. Our son had an incredible time in the pool with other children. It’s a small hotel with only 9 rooms so you get to know your neighbors which is great for comparing stories and advice. The son of the owner knows English and really goes above and beyond to help. Beds are amazing! Only downside. Dinner is served only at 7 and takes almost 45 min to hour to be served because it’s all fresh. My advice especially with children that they start dinner at 18:00 or even 17:00 so kids are not starving and can go to bed early. But other than that food was great people were great, it was truly a magical visit. Vacation tips… visit the thermal hot springs 45 min drive away, bar restorant KELGRES on the way back from the springs has stunning views And VELLEZERIT zequai BAR RESTORANT near by the hotel serves great food all day and even washed our car for us.

Probably our favourite stay in Albania. Great rooms, but what we loved the most was the staff - very friendly and helpful, and the CHEF! The chef was amazing. We ate at the restaurant one night not expecting much and were totally blown away. Would highly recommend this spot!

By far the best stay we’ve had in our trip in Albania and Macedonia. Very intimate, family-run place in a beautiful environment with friendly staff. The room was simple but great, the pool in a really nice spot. Best of all, though, was the food. If you come to visit - make sure to have dinner. Everything is locally produced and incredibly delicious. If I ever come back to Albania, visiting this place again goes on the top of my to-do-list.

Great little hotel. There was a storm when we stayed which cut the electricity for the whole town but we still had a good stay. The breakfast was great, a lot of choice.

One of the best hotels in Albania! Amazing facilities, a nice pool with mountains view, EXCELLENT service with staff that welcomes you. Also, some part of the Albanian culture and heritage displayed in the restaurant. A must go place!
