I
have
been
visiting
Tepoztlán
since
2010
and
I
am
very
familiar
with
many
of
the
tourist
trap
eateries
and
mediocre
food
options
in
the
town.
This
past
weekend,
my
partner
and
I
stayed
over
for
a
long
weekend
and
wanted
to
visit
a
restaurant
that
wasn't
far
from
the
center,
and
that
actually
offered
quality
food
and
service.
We
feel
we
hit
the
jackpot
when
we
found
Pueblo
Gaucho.
Because
the
town
was
PACKED
with
people
during
the
weekend
of
Benito
Juarez
Day,
I
arrived
a
couple
hours
ahead
of
time
and
asked
if
I
could
make
a
reservation.
A
lovely
waiter
whose
name
I
unfortunately
do
not
remember
(he
had
braces)
was
kind
enough
to
take
my
name
and
save
a
table
on
the
balcony
for
my
partner
and
I.
When
I
arrived
at
7,
he
was
ready
to
seat
us,
and
it
was
absolutely
marvelous.
The
menu
is
quite
large,
which
is
something
we
liked
-
lots
of
different
options.
We
had
a
couple
wonderfully
delicious
empanadas,
queso
fundido,
and
lovely
entrees.
They
offered
beer
and
wine
and
we
had
a
few
glasses
of
wine
also.
The
view
was
so
lovely
and
the
ambiance
was
perfect
for
us.
It's
a
small
place,
but
at
the
same
time,
feels
intimate
and
cozy.
There
was
some
live
music
to
add
to
the
ambiance
-
not
too
loud
at
all,
and
very
enjoyable.
I
regret
that
I
did
not
take
photos
of
the
food,
but
everything
we
ate
was
excellent
and
well-portioned
and
presented.
After
everything,
the
best
part
was
the
price:
It
came
out
to
about
$30/person
(plus
tip)!
That
is
an
INCREDIBLE
value
for
all
the
food
and
wine
we
had.
My
only
regret
is
that
we
couldn't
stay
longer,
but
we
were
full
of
food
and
wine
and
thought
it
best
to
head
home.
Overall,
I
HIGHLY
recommend
this
restaurant,
especially
for
a
couple
who
is
looking
for
something
unpretentious
and
apart
from
the
touristy
restaurants
on
the
main
strip.
Superb
service,
excellent
food,
very
reasonably
priced.
I
could
not
have
asked
for
more.
We'll
be
coming
back
soon!
