UPDATE:
THE
OFFICE
DOESNT
EVEN
DO
PRIOR
AUTHORIZATION!
Apparently
they
just
let
it
sit
there
for
WEEKS
without
contacting
the
patient
to
say
“hey
would
you
like
an
alternative?
Otherwise
it’s
all
out
of
pocket”
NOPE.
Just
pretend
they
never
saw
it
apparently.
This
is
disgusting.
I
would
NEVER
treat
my
patients
this
way!
I
will
be
switching
out
of
this
office
all
together.
I’m
appalled
at
the
way
they
ignore
their
patients.
This
is
deplorable
patient
care.
STILL
NO
CALL
FROM
THE
OFFICE
MANAGER
BTW.
4
days
of
uncontrollable
vomiting,
only
to
find
out
you’ve
been
ignored
is
beyond
infuriating.
I
won’t
be
returning
as
a
patient.
Original:
As
someone
who
RUNS
a
medical
office,
and
has
run
multiple
others
including
an
obgyn
office,
I’m
appalled
at
the
lack
of
response,
urgency,
and
efficacy
of
this
office.
The
office
has
had
a
prior
authorization
request
for
TWO
WEEKS
for
a
nausea
medication
I
DESPERATELY
need,
&
no
one
outside
of
scheduling
returns
or
answers
phone
calls
until
you’ve
called
dozens
of
times
&
complained
about
no
response.
After
hours
refuses
to
address
medication
concerns
so
you
can’t
speak
to
anyone
over
the
weekend
(ya
know,
when
it’s
convenient
for
those
of
us
who
work
full
time
and
have
kids
in
school
during
the
week).
Honestly
that’s
SO
wild
to
me
considering
my
doctors
fill
prescriptions
for
patients
after
hours
WEEKLY.
It’s
called
caring,
give
it
a
try
sometime.
TWO
WEEKS
I’ve
had
to
pay
out
of
pocket
for
an
extremely
expensive
nausea
medication
because
the
prior
authorization
is
just
SITTING
THERE
UNADDRESSED.
It’s
free
with
my
insurance,
but
almost
$300
for
ONE
MONTHS
supply.
So
far
I’m
$70
into
filling
this
myself
for
NOT
EVEN
one
weeks
worth
waiting
for
the
office
to
DO
THEIR
JOB.
Rationing
it
the
best
I
can,
and
just
waiting.
Will
I
be
reimbursed
for
the
out
of
pocket
cost
caused
by
their
LAZINESS!?
Nope,
probably
not.
It’s
bad
enough
that
to
even
GET
the
prescription
I
had
to
leave
MULTIPLE
voicemails
with
the
nurse
line
to
explain
I
needed
something
for
extreme
nausea.
Only
when
I
complained
about
no
response
did
I
even
get
the
returned
call
to
prescribe
the
medication,
and
NOW
I
have
had
to
pay
out
of
pocket
TWICE
for
it
because
they
won’t
submit
the
authorization
to
my
insurance.
MAYBE
WHEN
A
PREGNANT
PATIENT
CALLS
YOU
WITH
UNCONTROLLABLE
VOMITING
WE
SHOULD
PRIORITIZE
THEIR
PRESCRIPTIONS
INSTEAD
OF
HOLDING
THEM!?
Just
a
thought.
I
had
the
same
issue
with
my
return
to
work
forms
for
my
last
baby
with
this
office.
Emails,
voicemails,
all
unanswered
until
I
went
above
the
office
to
complain.
And
of
course
every
time
after
complaining
about
the
AWFUL
response
they
“can’t
find
any
messages
or
calls”.
Maybe
this
will
get
someone’s
attention.
SUBMIT
FOR
MY
MEDICATION
SO
I
CAN
FUNCTION
AS
A
MOTHER
OF
2
&
FULL
TIME
OFFICE
MANAGER,
START
ALLOWING
PATIENTS
TO
SPEAK
TO
SOMEONE
INSTEAD
OF
CONSTANTLY
REROUTING
THEM
TO
AN
ANSWERING
MACHINE
&
STOP
REFUSING
TO
SPEAK
TO
PATIENTS
ABOUT
MEDICATIONS
AFTER
HOURS!
