Nice places to stroll around, enjoying foods and drinks. Plenty stores including family favorite stores are available - Dunnes Store and Tesco. The popular cofee brand- Starbucks and the popular world-known fried chicken -KFC also available. Visit before afternoon on Sunday for peace quiet day out with friends and family as less crowded this time.

A lovely multi level shopping centre with a variety of shops. Health shops to sports & recreation places as restaurants & cinema. With super stores online like #Tesco & Dunnes, and a butcher with quality meats. Watch repairers, beauticians, opticians. This centre probably has everything one might need under one roof!

No seats anywhere. I have osteoarthritis and needed to sit on several occasions. I understand that during Covid times we can't congregate on benches in supermarkets but people will need to rest for a moment or two.

Lots of good shops and 2 supermarkets. Parking is no longer free, so I very rarely go to the Square anymore.

The Square represents the elite of the retail industry, irish culture and humanity. Beautiful architecture combined with high-end, up-market fashion boutiques and beautiful people - truly a feast for the senses. I often sit in one of the many eateries surrounded by artists and poets engaged in highbrow debate, absorbing the witty rhetoric. Of particular delight to the visitor are friendly and kind young people who can be found in every corner and hallway, just being so friendly and kind, truly a credit to the dedication of their hard-working parents who clearly poured so much time and effort into raising and educating such wonderful people. A must-see to any visitor to Ireland. I would leave more than 5 stars if I could.

It is one of the best shopping centre in the nearby areas. It include almost all the brands for your shopping needs.Penneys shop start the business by the end of 2022. It also includes movie theatres for watching films. Square has a vast car parking area which is free for first 2 hours. They also conduct some outdoor activities for kids.

Run down outdated and in serious need of a complete overhaul. The place is basically a food centre now. Coffee shops donut shops is the general outlay. No big branded named shops either. The centre itself is very clean but it's definitely showing its age now.

As I was passing by the Square shopping centre I decided to head in after at least thirteen years or more. Impressed with the new refurbishment and design layout. I had a browse around the shops and quite a selection to buy from. Worth a visit if you have not been there after a long time.

Went on Saturday. Gangs of teenagers hanging around the lower level toilets, pushing and shoving each other. After navigating through them the toilets were filthy. Restaurant we went to had no staff to pay and food was cold waiting Tried to call customer service today no one answered. Never again a total kip

Been to the movies 🍿 (first time in absolutely ages, CoViD and having babies and stuff, boring I know) anyway I arrived at 7:50 for a movie at 8:00 - hopped in the multi-storey.. sweets n drinks and we’re back in the game .. Keanu and all his mates shooting at each other.. anyway it’s over now let’s get home 🏡 oh no you don’t the multi-storey is locked in darkness for the night??? But dude I need my car … it’s 00:00 o clock.. I’ll try calling the office… lovely person answering the phone and she’s just what the business needs, as nice as she can be she has the ability to talk to her security team and get us out in a timely fashion! Amazing job!

Amazing shopping centre my favourite I've been too. Lots of security at every exit and has everything a shopping centre should need. Two supermarkets, plenty of fast food restaurants, a decent amount of cafes, and tons of clothes shops. There's also a yearly carnival that comes in August I think, and a Ferris Wheel at Christmas.

Not mad on the square. It used to be a great shopping centre at one time but I was here on a Wednesday night and there's hardly any shops open. It's advertised late night opening Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but if its grocery shopping you want that's fine but a waste of time going here for clothes shopping etc. They badly need to do something with the square to encourage customers back because all the other shopping centres I'd say are well out preforming this one. It's a shame for the people of Tallaght.

Pretty dead, depressing and not a place I would go to for any reason whatsoever. Half the shops are shuttered, few coffee and food shops and no soul in the place. Shopping centres have had their day and for real atmosphere, one should head into town or go to a small town down the country for real shopping experiences.

I've always liked going to this mall though it's pretty crowded almost all of the time but there's a positive vibe going around. I just wish Penny's was here. Other than that there are some good shops where you can do good shopping. The 2 hour free parking is an added bonus. Also love the Costa shop, having a latte there before the shopping is a must*do for me.

Haven't been to the Square in years. Brought me back to my teenage years in the early 90s when we did the family Christmas shopping expedition for new clo and stuffs. Looking at it now it's very dated and teeny tiny compared to even rural centres but my heart and soul ignited with nostalgia. Penny's a welcome addition.

The Square is a great shopping centre that has everything to offer - supermarkets, clothes shops, cafes, bakeries, restaurants, butchers, pharmacies, mobile shops, jewellery shops, hair salon, barber, cinema, post office etc. Outside of it, within short walking distance, you can also find other handy shops, including a library, theater, stadium and park. The parking is only €1 for up to 3 hours and you can just tap at the barrier. It's free for 15 mins if you go to the carpark on the 3rd level (cinema), in case you want to drop someone off/pick someone up or just quickly use the bottle bank and clothes recycling. The shopping centre was opened in 1990 and celebrated it's 33rd birthday in 2023.

Popcorn good, seats v comfortable. No one does checks though in the cinema when the movie is on which isn't great as there was kids making loads of noise in our film and no one stopping them. Kids that shouldn't have been in this age movie as well.

Parking charges are ridiculous... We are becoming like Britain, where parking is a nightmare. Shops are ok, and all the staff I encountered were lovely but there are parking charges online!! I don't see any need to be charged to spend my money, so it's online shopping for me whenever possible now unfortunately..

I'm hoping this email will reach the lovely elfs and the big man himself and anybody else I may have forgotten. I brought my 11 month old daughter to Santa's lovely grotto and it was brilliant from start to finish. All of Santa's elfs were very enthusiastic from the minute we were greeted. It was very well thought out and very good value for money. The big man himself was lovely and the present my daughter received was perfect. Well done to each and every one of you 👏 👍 😀 keep up the good work and happy Christmas!

This is a Very large shopping centre. Alongside the many different shops and supermarkets there are also about forty restaurants. For entertainment purposes there's a great cinema complex. Transport is well connected with buses and a tram line. Car parks are cheap and easy to find a space.

Long queue to get out of the car park. Waiting over 20 mins to leave, finally get to the barrier only for them to look for another €1. Paying an additional euro for the privledge of waiting in my car! Security drove by and did nothing, despite the string of 20+ cars. This was sat 13th of Jan. Won't be shopping here again.

If you live in Tallaght or nearby this is the best place to go shopping. Has boots penny's pepco superdrug river island new look sports direct and many more.. lots of different restaurants to go to and a fabulous movie theatre. They have both indoor and outdoor play area for the kids.

I had a pleasant experience here. I really enjoyed the escalators, they transport reasonable volumes of people in an efficient manner to the different levels of the shopping complex. The entrances to the retail outlets are door-less which is extreamly handy if you are not in the humour to open or close doors. If you are hungry while you are there, you have the option to eat in one of the many food outlets, if you are not hungry, there is absolutely no pressure on you to visit those outlets. Parking wise, they have a large tarmac space around the complex and a multistory precast concrete building to the side, which allows for motor vehicles to be parked close to the many entrances. All in all this place is grand, the name is deceiving though, it is not a square, I checked it out on Google maps and it should be renamed 'manysquares' as the building looks like many squares pieced together.

If you live in Tallaght, Dublin, this place is everything. You literally have all the stores you would possibly want. There is always security in this mall that makes it feel safe. The added advantage of this place is that if you are a student, you will get student VIP card that will fetch you discounts.

The Square is definitely a great place to find anything you need or spend one afternoon. One suggestion would be to open other types of restaurant where you can also seat in the outside (higher level parking area), or put benches, so you can enjoy some meals outside.

The centre has had a bit of bad luck over the years. It would have been extended a decade ago if it wasn't for the main anchor tenant objecting and frustrating the extension in the Irish Courts. Perhaps now that Penneys is coming the objector anchor will upgrade their quite outdated store as they can no longer block Penneys. New Cinema on the way also and other existing stores are hoping to do deals with the landlord and expand so the Square can adequately compete with rival shopping centres.

Nice to see the seating for the weary shopper or/and elderly or infirm back again after a two year hiatus. It makes a shopping trip or simple wander around so very much easier when one can sit down, rest and watch the world go by for a short time. Fabulous shops that pretty much cater for everyone and every thing. Some lovely restaurants there too if you are not in the mood for the readily available fast food chains.

Very cool place to hang out with the family. I love their toddler activities and park although I don’t like that there’s NO ONE keeping an eye in it, a huge kid (9 year old) once hurt my daughter (22 months old) it’s a toddlers place, everything has the size for small kids only.

Free parking gone as of October 2022. I understand that SDCC want shoppers to use public transport but I'd spend too long getting there as transport is not integrated. I'd be quicker going directly to city centre or shopping centres outside Dublin. Either way businesses in The Square lose out.

  • 1/5 Tomas N. 1 year ago on Google
Parking is confusing. Badly introduced with no signage. Long queues with short time to exit. Queues so long people are late and overcharged having to wait to pay. Worst car park planning I’ve ever seen. No staff to assist with new bad planned car park facility. Assistants to help people not to be seen. Saw lots of shoppers with full trollies and kids wondering what their car reg is when trying to negotiate payment screens. In a word chaos. Not going near their car park at Christmas!

  • 4/5 Maria W. 1 year ago on Google
The Square shopping centre is fairly good recently having gone through high and lows over the years but cannot depend on many outlets (like most major shopping centres to have all looked for items in stock or willing to order same, with the usual reply that 'you'll have to go to town for that' . While it's eateries are many and crowded, most standards are average or below despite prices charged. Many people prefer in- person to online shopping which is their choice and provides large employment and social opportunities to all .

  • 2/5 vernon M. 1 year ago on Google
As well as junkies being around, now there's roving groups of Afghans or whatever. Just don't like leaving my vehicle unattended. The second star was for the security patrolling the carparks which was great, but is that only for Christmas? .

  • 1/5 Eileen D. 2 years ago on Google
Not great at distancing a lot of people not wearing masks properly especially to people in Dunnes Stores all under their nose very few had it done properly some people didn't even have masks and where they asked to leave the shop I don't imagine I will be going back here

The square looks dated from the outside but it looks more modern on the inside. The parking is paid parking and there are not too many spaces. The Square has some unusual stores that you won't find anywhere else.
