A neat lookout view towards palm beach. Easily accessible and about a minute walk from the parking. There is about an hour track that leads downhill which I would rate as moderate to hard due to the steepness and having to climb down a ladder. You get slightly better views and see the interesting world war 2 sites. I’ve included photos for your reference. All in all make sure the weather’s good before you go and you’ll have a relaxing day there (if you skip the hike). The daily parking fee is $12.

As of October 2021 there’s temporary fencing up as the lookout is under some sort of renovation, but the views themselves are unaffected. Starting point for trails to West Head Beach, Resolute Beach and Great Mackerel Beach are easy to access towards the right of the lookout. Very small car park located here. Closest public bathrooms are 800m down the road - you pass it driving to and from the lookout.

Sight seeing was good but beach was not that good and water was also not good as we were expecting. Overall it was good time. Good for hiking. Breathe taking view.😍

A historic lookout, has its stories linked with WWII. Can see a very beautiful view of Palm Beach too. Has many hiking tracks which lead downward to snorkeling too. Need a whole day to explore around.

Great spot that offers amazing views of Broken Bay and the Palm Beach across the Pittwater. There is no public transportation going to this place is accessible via private vehicle only. There’s plenty of bikers too along the way, so watch out and be patient as it’s a long winding road going up to the lookout. There’s a $12 fee per car to enter the National Park and Public Toilet is only available at the Resolute Picnic Area which is around 15 min hike from the lookout. If you’re a little bit adventurous and wanted to do some hiking, this place is the gateway to the West Head Beach, Resolute Beach and Great Mackerel Beach. Definitely worth the drive up there. PS This place is undergoing some maintenance work, so the view is a little disturbed by safety fences

A gorgeous walk to get to a beautiful quiet beach. Easy enough walk with quite a few stair but so worth it. Keep going and get to Resolute beach which is just as lovely and even quiter. Go on a weekday to avoid the crowds

There is a great view from the lookout point and the beach is beautiful. It's the perfect place to go for a swim during summer and you can even spot some small fish and crabs in the water. The walk back up the mountain is tiring, but it's all worth it.

Great views and just across from Akuna as well. Definitely one of the nicer cycle routes in Sydney. Roads were very smooth and there was a large shoulder to sit in for cyclists. Came on a weekday and it was relatively quiet. Be prepared for a little bit of elevation though if you do intend on cycling here.

Felt really happy looking out at the scenery! Probably a 15 mins drive up from AKuna bay! View was definitely breathtaking 😍

A beautiful beach with a spectacular view. The scenery was breathtaking, and the beach itself was lovely. The combination of clear blue waters and the surrounding natural beauty made it a perfect place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a peaceful and picturesque getaway.

Fantastic and amazing place to just sit and enjoy. You can go all the way down the stairs to enjoy the beach and swim in the beautiful and clean water, highly recommended, lots of parking available but you need to pay eight dollars for it, just go and enjoy

Overwhelmingly beautiful. Two small beaches a short but steep hike away. Awesome views of the Central Coast and Palm Beach.

Loved the view. Picture perfect. Costing $4.40 per person to get into the NP plus parking fee. Lots of bicycles on the roads.

Beautiful view. Best to also to do a walking track otherwise it’s fair distance for the view only, but worth it.

Amazing View of Palm Beach! Great for Bush walking. you can just sit here for a few hours and admire the view.

The place is so calm and peaceful, bush bash because it’s stunning

Outstanding views. An excellent location for park bush walks too. $12 day ticket is reasonable but a few bucks less would be better value.

We reached this spot while going to mackerel beach but there was 40 min walking to reach the beach , so we chose this place 😄😄 Place offers amazing view of broken bay coupled with barrenjoey lighthouse located on palm beach. Plus west head beach is a soothing place to spend your day. Only thing is the stairs to reach down to the beach will kill you while coming back 😂😂😂. But it’s worth to go to the beach and enjoy the sunlight . Got few parking spots nearby as well

Breathtaking views and a nice beach to walk or swim in shallow waters. This lookout point overlooks the Palm beach lighthouse. We've also been to Palm beach and both these places offers a slightly different experience. If you need to choose between the two, go with palm beach as it's got much to offer. Parking costs $12 and if you get their early, you may get to park near the lookout point. The walk from the top to the beach taken 40mins total. Some parts of the traking is steap and you may need to take breaks during your walk. Overall a good trip and time well spent.

Great view of Northern Greater Sydney with some great beaches only a short bush walk. Well worth the day trip on a sunny day. However, the car park is small and there is no where to fill up your water so bring plenty of liquids.

What a lovely, scenic, and breathtaking vantage point. A short steep hike leads down to West Head, Mackerel, and Resolute Beach. It was a little difficult to get back up the hill, but it was an absolutely incredible experience. A must-visit location.

A hidden gem inside kuringai National Park I say. Just follow the sign board for resolute beach, and you shall experience a beautiful pure jungle hike and after walking almost 1 mesmerising hour, there you can find a beautiful hidden gem, small and perfect beach for a day hangout or picnic with your friends. You can go to West head beach as well which is a bit near than resolute beach and its a bit bigger as well. Must go for small walk and tremendous fun. Here are some photos😊

This lookout is in Ku-ring-gai chase national park. This is the best hill top lookout and you can reach small beaches in 20 mins. Best for a day trip carry drinking water while walking. 12$ per day parking charge to enter in this National Park. You will love is scenic view and place. Must visit this place.

A great drive to the lookout and views of palm beach were amazing. There were couple of tracks going beyond the lookout. We took a walk down to westhead beach.. was tiring (approx 400 steps) but rewarding. Washrooms near lookout were sadly really disgusting.

The drive or ride is worth the time if you are keen for a awesome view of the head. Beware of early morning weekend cyclist's, some of them just think about themselves.

  • 5/5 John C. 2 years ago on Google
Great view from the lookout. There are also wonderful walking tracks nearby.

Good view but not worth to come if you don’t do any hiking in this region

  • 2/5 WH L. 2 years ago on Google
Now you need to pay $12 to reach this place and it has so many unwanted things which spoil the view :( otherwise we have been loving this place ao much since years ago. They started to charge since july 2021 if not mistaken.
