Any Mac n Cheese lover will want to try this place. A huge portion of Mac n Cheese, big chunks of meat, noodles cooked perfectly, absolutely THE BOMB!

Ordered on Grubhub although it was listed as “salad creations” I got a salad and my wife got a wrap. She rated the wrap a 3. The salad was alright although they only provided two salad dressing packets which was definitely not enough

I have gone to this diner many times. It’s nothing special, but it was close to home so my family and I would visit it a few times a month. The service has gone downhill quite a bit recently. We were there this morning and I ordered a waffle with eggs. The waitress told me it comes with bacon, sausage, or ham. I said I’d take bacon. I didn’t want it, but if it came with it I’d give it to one of the people I was with. I got the bill and as you can see they charged me for bacon that “comes with it.” I brought it up to the person at the register and they went to get the waitress. I’m not cheap, but paying almost $6 for bacon I didn’t want felt wrong. The waitress flat out lied and said I asked for it. I said I didn’t and I didn’t eat it (it was on the dirty plates on my table). She held her ground and I had to pay for something I didn’t want. The manager didn’t offer to take it off for a frequent customer, just told me I had to pay. We said we wouldn’t be going back and they were okay with that. I guess they make enough $ not to care about our business. I normally don’t review places, but I thought people should know to check their bills and know walking in they won’t care about your business either.

Purchased two cheese danish for breakfast this morning, and not only was the pastry old and stale, it had mold at the bottom of the pastries. Totally unacceptable and not to mention disgusting. Management please check your products before putting them out for customers to consume!!!!

Food was excellent. I had the Cobb salad for lunch. It was very good. Lots of grilled chicken along with bacon,hard boiled eggs and avocado. Excellent customer service.

This diner is normally so good. It’s been awhile since I’ve been there. It was busy when I arrived with my group. We were seated right away. It took a while for our waiter to get to our table. He only checked on us once. I got their Athenian wrap with that you get a soup or salad and coleslaw The soup tasted a little water downed. The coleslaw was ok. The wrap was greasy, the fries were good and the dressing for the wrap was very good. The other people with my group got breakfast items the pancakes they said were very rubbery and the waffle tastes sour. The bacon was crispy which they wanted. It could have been because they were busy but this diner has now moved to the bottom of our diner to go to

This is not just an average diner. The service was excellent and friendly,the meals were cooked to perfection and served in an expeditious fashion. There's an obvious reason why they have been in business since I was a child and now bring my child there. Generationally great.

This is our Friday night place. We bring our grandchildren almost every week. We are greeted with a hug and handshakes. My youngest grandbaby runs right to Billy with a big hug, every time. Serve is great. We usually ask for Junior, who knows what each one of us wants before we even sit. Always a good time and the food is good diner comfort food. Edit: they added a prime rib to the special menu. My husband was very happy with it, along with one of the grandchildren who would not stop stealing his food. The cook was great the size was amazing and for the price, you could not go wrong!

I usually have a great experience when dining in at this diner, but recently left extremely disappointed in online ordering. I had placed an order through their website link, and after driving all the way to the restaurant, pull into the lot and receive a text, my order is canceled. No big deal I go in and order the same food to go. The bill came to $25 more than the order I placed on their website. I feel robbed, that is too much off a price difference for them to still have online order links available.

We went for lunch the food was good and service. The diner needs renovation the seats in the booth were torn and the rest of the place is old. The bathroom was filthy and needs updating but mostly dirty the ceiling, floors etc. They were busy and would probably do better if they would just update and clean up.

My parents and I came here for a late brunch after we dropped off our tax documents at a local accountant. We were met with an experience that was wholeheartedly welcoming and delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast portions were quite large and well worth their value. I didn't even know my breakfast came with three pieces of french toast! The pancakes were delicious in particular: large, fluffy, and moist, with generous syrup and butter on the side!

Love this diner! The staff take care of you and the l owner always comes around and makes sure you’re having a good experience. Food is good and the portions are large and always fresh. They always give my 4 year old a free cookie on our way out. Very sweet!

The gf and I went to eat the because it was on the path home. We both ordered wraps. My Philly steak wrap came so soaked with oil my hands were covered just unwrapping the paper. Plate was puddled. I opened it figured I eat it with a fork. Steak was dried out. That explains why cooked soaked it in oil. The waitress made me another but by then I just wanted out and took it to go. Give the dog a treat. Should of gone to Burger King and even saved about $45. Lesson learned.

Ruben with no Russian dressing on the side is a sin. You can forget the cheese or the Kraut but not the dressing. Without the dressing the sandwich goes in the garbage. Wife ordered a Cheeseburger, Mozz Fries with gravy on the side. They forgot her pickle no biggie and gave mustard and ketchup on the side. Me eating a Ruben with no dressing after 2 bites I threw it out and ate a bowl of cereal for dinner. Should of just ordered 5 guys like my wife suggested.

One of the largest menus I've seen and the food was actually really really good! I've lived here for so long and it was one of the diners I've never been too. Will def be my new go too diner

Sad to leave one star. I've been a loyal weekly customer for over 3 years. On a recent visit, my son ordered 2 chicken breasts with rice and vegetables. Half way through, we noticed the chicken was red inside. Although apologetic, my son who opted to take a cheeseburger home at that point as he lost his appetite. When we received the bill, they charged us for the burger. In my opinion, and in good business, his meal at the very least should have been comped. This is unacceptable especially to loyal customers. Sadly, we will not return

Visited this diner before heading back home, did not disappoint. My family wishes this place was closer to home. Staff from the time we arrived until we left were very attentive welcoming and provided great service. Food and drinks was 10 out of 10. Recommend this diner to families and all ages.

Good people here, food ok. Not that they did anything wrong, I was like 50/50 on the breakfast. Service was great, and the parking was great. the server was great. Maybe I caught the them on a bad day or maybe it's just my taste buds. I'll be back this Thursday. I'll rewrite a review.

This Diner definitely doesn't do it for me. The food is just OK. I have been here several times and I keep trying to give it a chance..... nope. I have had better Diner food.

Worst diner I've ever been to. Everytime I order from this place they mess up the order completely. Then when I call to tell them it's messed up they leave me on hold for 30 mins. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The food is also below average the burger is either raw or a overcooked hockey puck, no matter how you tell them to cook it. Wouldn't recommend.

Best diner my family has been going to for years. They always serve complementary warm bread, crackers, breadsticks and macaroni salad. Even during the Pandemic. The portions are very generous and satisfying. Food is delicious and fresh. Staff is always welcoming and very pleasant. We have gotten to know, Bill, Junior, Elder and Mike over the years and they make you feel like family. Truly an asset to this establishment! Highly recommended!

I have gone to island lake diner for years, and there food? It’s not bad. I don’t hate it, but you can get much better for much less at other places. Everytime I have ordered I have had an issue with my food, somethings wrong, orders aren’t in, etc. They are very RUDE and have to be some of the WORST workers I have ever had the displeasure of ordering from, nothing can be fixed and I’m the jerk for daring wanting my food the way I asked for it. Would not recommend, multiple other diners that are much better with much better service.

Dinner take out has been fine but there waffles are awful. Just got one this morning and tasted like pancake batter without vanilla extract or any flavoring at all. Also no confectionery suger on top which is a must for a $15 waffle with eh sausage at best. Disappointing

I ordered the bacon cheeseburger deluxe. It looks wonderful it was huge but was completely tasteless. If not for the bacon on top the burger itself would have not had any flavor at all. Very disappointing will not be going back there.

If we ever go back to this diner (though unlikely) it will be because of the excellent service we received from the waitress. We had a very friendly and attentive young lady who clearly wanted to give us a positive dining experience. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the cook; the food was not so good. My advice - Don't order the Eggs Benedict. The first attempt presented with the eggs overcooked (hard yoke). After telling the waitress, she took the dish back and brought out a new dish with eggs that were slightly fried and undercooked through and through (liquid). Poached eggs are supposed to have a uniformly cooked egg white (not fried) with a soft runny yoke. Bottom line: this cook doesn't know how to prepare Eggs Benedict.

Take out is horrible. 2 weeks in a row ordered the Turkey Reuben Panini, got a corned beef Reuben. The meat was all fat. 3 weeks ago ordered the Chicken and waffles. I get home, see waffles no chicken. Call up, they tell me they ran out of chicken would give me Chicken Tenders. Went to pick up, it was 3 tenders. How do three tenders equal a half a chicken. Never given money back. Done here.

Very basic dining, meals are not extravagant-not even for diner food. I ordered breakfast: pancakes with a side of egg whites and my girlfriend ordered an egg omelet. The food isn’t great, just ok. As we were almost done eating, they started cleaning the floors with pine sole. It smelled so bad and strong we had to get our check early to leave. I will not go back. Two stars is because the waitress was very sweet.

This diner is the best! The owner is very friendly and personable. The food is always good. Everything is always fresh. The staff is kind and the service is quick! Great stop for comfort food.

I want to by saying I’ve been eating here for over 10 years. We frequent the diner regularly, we supported fully during Covid pandemic. Over the last couple months service and quality as been declining rapidly. This morning we visited the establishment, ordered our food and beverages. Food took unusually long to come out, but it was a little busier than normal. When food arrived it burnt and left uneaten. Not one water refill nor Coffee refill for my wife. Was not asked once how the meal was or why food was left untouched. Waiter came with the check busser took the plates. I wrote on receipt how bad the food and service was and no one seemed to care. My wife will not not tip having worked in service before. So against my better judgment my wife left a tip. Hostess looked at receipt read comments took payment and said have a nice day. Having staff and/or ownership not care about the outcome of a longtime customers experience and the outcome of a product they are feeding you is completely inexcusable. The establishment has turned into a money grab with no pride into what’s being served. Eat with caution or order and not eat at all. Honestly I hope they resolve the issues or sell to someone with integrity and pride in what they do.

It was really good. Last minute decision to stop in. Daughter saw it so we tried it. Very polite staff. It was late and they still had full menu available. Menu is huge. So much to choose from. Food was excellent. I recommend the BBQ

This diner. Oh. My. God. Delicious. Everything about the food here is amazing. My boyfriend and I were sad when we moved cause we didn’t know if we’d get a good diner like what we had but man oh man. This place tops the cake. Amazing service, amazing food, and amazing atmosphere. 10 out of 10 would recommend you coming here 💜

I haven't been to a Diner in a while and this place didn't disappoint. The food was good as I had the chorizo as skillet and it was quite good. It was very busy when we arrive and the service was a little slow but understandable with how busy it was.
