I
was
referred
to
Dr.
McMonigle
by
a
friend
after
my
autistic
son
suffered
a
series
of
seizures.
To
say
it
has
been
a
nightmare
is
a
complete
understatement.
We
went
in
for
the
initial
visit
and
the
office
was
clean
and
the
staff
was
very
nice
and
helpful.
Dr.
McMonigle
ordered
some
blood
tests
and
a
3
day
inpatient
EEG.
Due
to
my
sons
pre-existing
autism,
it
was
impossible
to
perform
this
test
without
the
confines
of
a
hospital.
We
were
initially
unable
to
schedule
the
in-patient
procedure,
due
to
Covid
restrictions
and
my
sons
handicap.
Fast
forward
about
8
months,
we
return
to
Dr.
McMonigle's
office
only
to
discover
that
the
blood
test
from
8
months
ago
which
showed
a
SEVERE
vitamin
deficiency
as
well
as
other
anomolies
was
NEVER
discussed
with
us
at
the
time.
For
example
the
blood
test
to
measure
the
levels
of
his
newly
prescribed
seizure
medication,
Lamictal
was
NEVER
ORDERED
OR
PERFORMED!!!
SO
TO
BE
CLEAR
MY
SON
HAD
DANGEROUS
RESULTS
THAT
WERE
NEVER
CONVEYED
FOR
8
+
MONTHS
AND
ONLY
AFT5ER
WE
SHOWED
UP
FOR
A
ROUTINE
FOLLOW-UP
VISIT.
i
CAN'T
HELP
BUT
WONDER
IF
WE'D
NEVER
RETURNED,
WOULD
WE
HAVE
EVEN
BEEN
CALLED,
unlikely
given
the
78
month
span.
At
this
follow
up
visit
8
months
later,
Dr.
McMonigle
and
I
discussed
rescheduling
of
the
3
day
in-patient
EEG
and
she
stated
her
staff
will
contact
me
and
get
the
pre-authorization
started.
Fast
forward
a
month,
I
call
the
office
to
see
where
we
stand
in
the
process
and
the
"Office
manager"
tells
me
that
"we
refused
the
test".
When
I
explain
that
this
was
a
year
earlier
and
was
not
a
refusal
but
were
unable
to
physically
unable
do
so
due
it
to
due
to
Covid
restrictions
and
my
sons
handicap,
she
literally
tells
me
I'm
lying,
because
the
doctor
wrote
in
her
note
just
last
month
that
we
denied
the
test
again
last
month.
Now,
either
Dr.
McMonigle
has
SERIOUS
issues
-
forgetting
patient
conversations,
failure
to
accurately
document
said
conversations,
never
notifying
a
patient
about
critical
lab
values,
never
following
up
when
there
was
no
therapeutic
medication
level
tested
for
over
8
months.
Or,
as
she
mentioned
to
me
at
that
last
visit
her
staff
really
stinks.
Either
way,
Dr.
Mc,
YOU
ARE
A
NEUROLOGIST,
you
are
ultimately
responsible.
I
do
not
recommend
McMonigle
&
Assoc.
Unless
you
want
to
die
from
care
mismanagement.
When
I
asked
the
"Office
Manager"
for
Dr.
McMonigle's
email
address
so
that
I
could
address
this
directly
with
her
the
office
manager
told
me
I
was
welcome
to
come
in
to
the
office
to
discuss
it
and
she
promptly
hung
up
on
me.
So
I
have
chosen
a
public
forum
to
warn
patients
about
this
practice
and
and
it's
incredibly
poor
practices.
Perhaps
Dr.
Mc
should
playing
less
golf
and
concentrate
on
the
reason
she
became
a
physician
-
PATIENT
CARE!
I
should
say
that
I
am
a
Master's
level
Physician
Assistant
practicing
medicine
for
30
years
so
I
know
of
what
I
speak.
Addendum:
It's
been
4
days
since
this
review
was
written.
A
review
I
would
have
been
happy
to
remove,
if
Dr.
Mc
cantaqcted
us
to
discuss
the
issues.
But,
she
could
not
even
be
bothere3d
to
address
these
issues
or
this
review.
SHAME
ON
YOU
Dr.
MC!
DO
NOT
USE
MC
MONIGLE
&
ASSOCIATES!!
