I was referred to Dr. McMonigle by a friend after my autistic son suffered a series of seizures. To say it has been a nightmare is a complete understatement. We went in for the initial visit and the office was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. Dr. McMonigle ordered some blood tests and a 3 day inpatient EEG. Due to my sons pre-existing autism, it was impossible to perform this test without the confines of a hospital. We were initially unable to schedule the in-patient procedure, due to Covid restrictions and my sons handicap. Fast forward about 8 months, we return to Dr. McMonigle's office only to discover that the blood test from 8 months ago which showed a SEVERE vitamin deficiency as well as other anomolies was NEVER discussed with us at the time. For example the blood test to measure the levels of his newly prescribed seizure medication, Lamictal was NEVER ORDERED OR PERFORMED!!! SO TO BE CLEAR MY SON HAD DANGEROUS RESULTS THAT WERE NEVER CONVEYED FOR 8 + MONTHS AND ONLY AFT5ER WE SHOWED UP FOR A ROUTINE FOLLOW-UP VISIT. i CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER IF WE'D NEVER RETURNED, WOULD WE HAVE EVEN BEEN CALLED, unlikely given the 78 month span. At this follow up visit 8 months later, Dr. McMonigle and I discussed rescheduling of the 3 day in-patient EEG and she stated her staff will contact me and get the pre-authorization started. Fast forward a month, I call the office to see where we stand in the process and the "Office manager" tells me that "we refused the test". When I explain that this was a year earlier and was not a refusal but were unable to physically unable do so due it to due to Covid restrictions and my sons handicap, she literally tells me I'm lying, because the doctor wrote in her note just last month that we denied the test again last month. Now, either Dr. McMonigle has SERIOUS issues - forgetting patient conversations, failure to accurately document said conversations, never notifying a patient about critical lab values, never following up when there was no therapeutic medication level tested for over 8 months. Or, as she mentioned to me at that last visit her staff really stinks. Either way, Dr. Mc, YOU ARE A NEUROLOGIST, you are ultimately responsible. I do not recommend McMonigle & Assoc. Unless you want to die from care mismanagement. When I asked the "Office Manager" for Dr. McMonigle's email address so that I could address this directly with her the office manager told me I was welcome to come in to the office to discuss it and she promptly hung up on me. So I have chosen a public forum to warn patients about this practice and and it's incredibly poor practices. Perhaps Dr. Mc should playing less golf and concentrate on the reason she became a physician - PATIENT CARE! I should say that I am a Master's level Physician Assistant practicing medicine for 30 years so I know of what I speak. Addendum: It's been 4 days since this review was written. A review I would have been happy to remove, if Dr. Mc cantaqcted us to discuss the issues. But, she could not even be bothere3d to address these issues or this review. SHAME ON YOU Dr. MC! DO NOT USE MC MONIGLE & ASSOCIATES!!

Dr. McMonigle is by far the worst doctor I have ever seen. Avoid her at all costs. The wait time is always at least 30 mins and she hardly spends anytime with patient. She is rude, cuts you off when speaking, and doesn't take the time to listen to the patient nor explain the diagnosis. She runs tests and doesn't explain the reasoning behind them. Her staff is unprofessional and incompetent. They run tests, leave the room and then come back not sure what to do next. They never return your phone calls nor can answer your questions. She does not treat Lyme disease although she says she does on her website. She is just another Lyme denying physican that takes advantage of chronically ill patients by running her long list of tests to pad her wallet.

Brought my dad here and Dr McMongile insisted on all these tests. He did all the tests she wanted and now she won't even follow up with him to give him a diagnosis. We were instructed to follow up with the PA who is only there on tuesdays. I asked for the Doctor to call me but have gotten no call or response. When I called again the person I spoke to last time is no longer there, I asked for the manager and was told they were also not there. So frustrating, this place is a mess.

ive been here multiple times now because i wanted to give this dr a chance and everytime it gets worse at my consult the dr barely cared abt a word i said and i could barely get a word in she was the most expressionless person ever then at the end of my appointment people are mad due to waiting over an hour the manager and the dr are screaming at customers over the phone threatening to sue over bad reviews the front desk is constantly changing because of how belittled and rudely they are treated its as if the employer expects them to save their sinking business. they schedule you for all sorts of testing to run up your insurance and cant ever keep track of their finances. ive never seen a business ran so poorly and carelessly STAY FAR AWAY

DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE. The doctors here are RUDE and do NOT care about you. Most importantly, they told my daughter it was safe to continue her medication weeks ago and just realized it was a MISTAKE! They literally sent a letter saying they made a mistake and her medicine CAN in fact cause her to have a stroke. HOW CAN THEY DO THAT? They also ignored our televisit appointment! Simply never showed up! Plus the last time we were there, they left us in the exam room for an hour 20 minutes. THE DR JENNIFER MCMONICAL never showed up or even apologized. They do not call you back no matter how any messages you leave. The staff and manager know how much they suck but can't say it out loud bc it's their job. DO NOT USE. BEWARE! I will be filing more formal complaints. Pretty sure the positive reviews on here are fake.,

I did not have a good experience. My first initial appointment was in February and I still have no results, it's now April. And all of this because the woman in the office didn't know how to draw blood properly so I had to go to a lab and quest is backed up in their labs. I wanted all my results in so I didn't have to keep coming back to the office.. I had to reschedule 3 times and they made no attempt to call quest and request results. In my opinion it's never ok to make a patient wait 2 months for results when they are coming to you because of symptoms. I've never dealt with anything like this before.

If you're looking for a neurologist, your search is over! The experience starts when you walk thru the door: everyone is pleasant and genuinely wants to help you. None of those interminable waiting room delays Their testing is thorough and complete. The staff is well versed in their tasks. While everyone is extremely competent, Shannan is an extraordinary medical professional! Who would ever look forward to a doctor's visit?? ME!! And you will too!

Dr. McMonigle helped me tremendously! She took her time with me, explained everything in a way that I was able to understand, answered all of my questions and was kind and friendly. All of the staff was wonderful, warm and welcoming. I was referred by my PCP and can see why- Highly recommended! I've literally never been to a more thorough doctor. She's the best. Doc McMonigle has been my neurologist for almost 6 years. She found my injuries from overseas, something Army doctor's & demobilization doctor's missed. She is the reason I can still walk today, still teach, still play with my kids. If you need a doctor who cares, listens, and is insanely gifted... Go here.

Dr.monigle has been amazing sp far, I told her my problems she ordered a bunch of testing and has genuinely seemed happy to help me! Shoutout to Melanie for going over and above her job title and offering to help me change my insurance, since I don't know what I'm doing!! She is such a kind woman and I'm so glad I met her! I wish there was more melanies in the world!!! Honestly everyone at this practice has been amazing and going above and beyond! Yes the wait time may be long sometimes but Honestly it's understandable and at least they offer drinks and snacks while you wait! And trust me everyone at this office is worth the wait!! So if you end up waiting a little extra next time don't be that Karen who walked up to the front desk saying I've been waiting 1.5 hours, take the time to relax, read a book, or just remember these people have lives too and they choose to dedicate it to be there 9-5 m-s to HELP YOU!

Dr. McMonigle is extremely thorough, knowledgeable & helpful. Her staff are so welcoming and will put you at ease. The nerve conduction technologist Diya is the best! His bright personality & sense of humor helps make the nerve tests not so awful. Her assistants Erik & Vanessa are great as well. Overall great office!

The best neurologist I have ever seen. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful in every regard. They answer your phone calls quickly and are very accommodating with appointments. Dr. McMonigle is extremely thorough and you can tell she genuinely cares about helping her patients, as well as the PA and entire staff in general.

I have been a patient of Dr. McMonigle for the past six years; and strongly recommend her. My first appointment was to gain a clear diagnosis on a range of symptoms I was having for several years. Of note, I had been to several other neurologists with disappointing results. After scheduling a battery of tests, Dr. McMonigle was able to provide me with a clear differential diagnosis and an appropriate treatment plan. The interventions recommended proved successful for both pain relief and healing. During this informing, as well as in subsequent office visits, I found Dr. McMonigle to be consistently perceptive, compassionate and patient. Waiting and examining rooms clean and pleasant. Office staff and technicians go out of their way to assist. RJ Malsky, PhD

I can’t say enough good things about this doctor. I went there for the first time recently and couldn’t believe how thorough she was. She spent so much time with me and explained everything in detail. I never felt rushed. She even called me personally on a weekend with test results. I was so impressed with her level of knowledge. She was like a walking textbook. I am so happy to have found her and she will be my neurologist forever !

We had a great experience with Dr. McMonigie and her whole team As a new patient, we did not sit in the waiting room for more than a few minutes. We went through history with a delightful human, not an endless pile of forms. Dr. McMonigle came in and spoke to my son, not just me about what's going on and she addressed our most urgent concern I'm impressed.

I brought my dad to Dr. McMonigle after he had been in the hospital when he fell and hit his head. I have rarely seen such a compassion and caring from a physician. She spent a tremendous amount of time getting to know him as a person and showed such empathy at a difficult time. She never rushed him and really listened to his questions and concerns. Not only is she a wonderful and thorough doctor, but she is also an incredible person. Great bedside manner.

Dr. McMonigle is excellent! She has listened to me thoroughly about everything I am going through and has made sure to order ever single test to rule out what I am going through. She is very kind, listens to your needs, comforting, cares about how you feel and truly wants to help you feel better. I’ve recommended a couple of people to her already and will continue to do so. Thank you for being you and caring for your patients the way you do.

Made an appointment for my daughter who was referred to a neurologist for ongoing issues. Drove 30mins. To office only to find out that the Dr. doesn't take patients under 14yrs. Old. We had no choice but to leave. Why this wasn't communicated at the initial booking, or confirmation is beyond me. Poor desk/scheduling team. A little communication goes a long way. Be cautious when booking.
