Ordered three sandwiches to eat inside and they never came. We waited 45 minutes and asked them THREE times where our order was. First time “oh I’m really sorry but you know with the stress….” No mention of when or how we’d get our order. Second time “yes sir I’ll take care of that right away”…with no follow up. Third time, same thing. Finally had to wait in line to get my refund. All the manager had for me was “yeah sorry we were really stressed” but there was hardly no one left in the place. Not once after asking did they try to take care of us. Luckily, I got my refund and the manager didn’t even offer a free sandwich, just a “yeah sorry we were busy and we consistently forgot your order”. It’s hard to find customer service this poor elsewhere in Brussels! Important to note that the sandwiches were 100% ready and put on a plate in front of us when we ordered them. Stopped by for a coffee after arriving at Central Station. Friendly service, and good coffee served with a smile! We came back for lunch, which was delicious! Lots of options (meat, veggie, vegan), and plenty of cakes and pastries too. They talked us through the menu in 3 languages, in the end we all had something different and were all satisfied - a good size baguette with lots of great flavour. We also had some beers from 2 different Brussels breweries, and enjoyed everything outside in the sunshine. Really well managed with Covid restrictions.
