Great way to spend an afternoon exploring Brussels. Martin and Mary took great care of us and provided us with an experience we won't forget. Both were professional & super friendly (and occasionally funny XD) and helped elevate the experience to one of the best tours I've taken. The tour obviously highlights excellent chocolate and beer, but also acts as a historical walking tour between (really cool) venues. I can't stress enough how amazingly fun this was, you won't regret booking this experience.

I wonderful way to start off my trip to Brussels. Daniel and Jeremy were fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed all the delicious chocolate (all very unique) and awesome tasting beer! We also had a fun group from all over the world! I would highly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend this tour. Julie is a fantastic guide and so knowledgeable about Brussels, the chocolatiers and their chocolates and, of course, the world famous Belgian beers. We got to sample some really great ones, in brilliant bars and with great company. It was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon and evening!

Hungry Mary’s tour is the best tour we have been on in Brussels! Our guide Mathilde was AMAZING! She was such a blast and very knowledgeable on the beers and chocolates! She was over the top friendly and knew all of the best places. She gave us a great walking tour in between chocolate shops and bars, and shared all of her favorite places to eat!! We have the most amazing time and she truly is the reason we fell in love with Brussels! Please don’t hesitate to book with Hungry Mary’s these ladies know what they’re talking about!!!

Hands down one of the BEST tours we have ever been on. Marie was so friendly, informative, and caring throughout the tour. It was the perfect mix of chocolate tasting, beer tasting, and city history! MUST DO!!!

This was one of the best food tours we have taken. You get a lot for your money in products alone, but on top of that Baptiste and his assistant Antoine were superb. A great mix of history and funny anecdotes. The walking route was interesting. It was organized PERFECTLY.They gave great advice for places to visit and where to avoid. I can't say enough great things, they were awesome. We had so much fun, made some friends, got a little buzzed, went to some beautiful pubs and had the best chocolate of our lives. Do the tour at the start of your trip to get oriented and to get some advice.

My husband and I were in Bruxelles for a day and we decided to get a tour. The hungry Mary tour was the most recommended so we bought 2 tickets for it. You can pay online ot by cash the day of the tour and they have a tour at 1pm and one at 3pm if there is request for it. The whole booking was effortless. We had Marie and Jerome (apologies if I misspelled it). At the beginning they gave each one of us a bottle of water and then gave us a rundown of the tour. We started with chocolates and later moved to beers. We tried the best chocolates in Bruxelles, about 2 to 4 pralines in 4 different cholateries. Then we drank 6 beer samples in 3 different bars. We also had a small charcuterie plate at one of the pubs. In between Marie talked about some of Brussels history and legends and gave suggestions on restaurants. She explained every chocolate and every beer and she was not only knowledgeable but also funny! The tour lasted about 4.5 hours and we walked quite a bit; we covered most of the center of Bruxelles. We loved every part of it because this was a great way to see the center of Bruxelles in a fun and more local way. If you are in Bruxelles even for a few hours don't miss this tour because you'll be missing out on a great experience. I highly recommend it!

We went on this tour last week when we were in Brussels, our guide was Daniel and it was a great tour - made all the better by Daniel! We visited 3 chocolate places, learning the history of them and how to recognise the tourist-trap mass produced places vs the hand made chocolate places. At each we tried several chocolates, and Daniel provided lots of info and the shop owners were very kind and patient. We also visited 3 restaurants to try different beers, again with several choices and lots of info about the beers and establishments. At one of them we had a lovely selection of meats, breads, cheeses, and fries. Not a whole meal but you didn't leave hungry! Between all these places, as we walked around Brussels, Daniel showed us all sorts of things, told us the history of the city and us recommendations - some of which we tried later and they were good. The other people on the tour were great too, and we snagged a restaurant recommendation for Amsterdam too! If you like beer, chocolate, food, walking, and good times: go!

My husband and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guides were Julie and Martin and they were both so awesome. Their energy and enthusiasm were contagious and it felt like we were hanging out with close friends. We visited some beautiful spots, nibbled on some delicious chocolate and got tipsy on some great beer. We even got a discount at one of the chocolate shops we visited when we purchased some to take home. This is a great experience to add to your list, especially if this is you're a first time visitor to the city like we were.

I had my doubts about this tour because I've been on other food tours that were okay, but not great. This was AMAZING! Daniel was absolutely the best tour guide ever! We visited three chocolateries and three pubs, whilst picking up interesting facts along the way. You're not only learning about beer and chocolate, but also about the city and its history. My dad had to cancel last minute because he was not feeling well and they were very understanding and helpful about the situation. If I'm ever in Brussels again I will be doing this tour again. There's a bit of walking, so probably not the best with those with limited mobility, which is why my dad had to cancel, but that's the only con to this tour.

A fantastic tour. Highly recommended great insight into both chocolate and beer and love the way the tour guide dealt with random tour hijackers! If you go to Brussels and do one tour, do this one!

It was a fantastic experience! Thank you so much Marie for making this experience so amazing!! We had a VIP tour and Marie chose all the best options of the chocolate tasting locations and the beer tasting locations. She has a great knowledge about chocolate, beer and Brussels history and culture. She is also really good at understanding what you need and adapting the tour by your needs. Totally recommend it!

We had THE best ‘beer & chocolates’ tour in Brussels. Hours of food & fun with just the right amount of Belgium history and folklore. Our guide was super attentive to ever member of our group. If you can take just one tour in Europe , take this one!

This tour is a wonderful way to learn about the amazing beers and chocolates Belgium has to offer. Mary is very knowledgeable and passionate and it shines through in her explanations. A great value and you are taken to places that perhaps you would have missed on your own wander of the city.

BEST TOUR EVER. The guide, julie, was extremely knowledgeable and kind to everyone on the tour. She gave so many recommendations on more than just beer and chocolate for the city. Because of this, I would recommend doing this tour the first day in Brussels. They fostered a great community in the tour group and made sure that everyone was comfortable and taken care of. All chocolate tastings are included in the price and the beer tasting too. You get a chance to buy the rarest beer in the world for only 15 euros as well. We have plans to return to Brussels in the near future and we are planning on taking this tour again with more people. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 10/10 service and knowledge. Great for beer and chocolate enthusiasts or for people who are just along for the ride.

Mary and Jeremy were wonderful hosts! We saw all the big sights and they took their time to answer any questions. We also went to two very small bars that I don’t think I would’ve ever found on my own. Highly recommend!!

Marie was amazing. If you want a full day of activities I highly recommend this tour. They have a deal with all the chocolate places so you can go back later to buy more of what you loved at a discount.

The best tour that you can get in Brussels, by far. The guides are very knowledgeable, funny and will keep you entertained for the whole time. You will see centuries old bars, eat from the real good chocolatiers and get free suggestions for the rest of the days you're staying in Brussels. Recommending it to everyone that goes to Brussels, even if only one day.

Relaxed tour around chocolate and beer highlights in Brussels. We had a laid back and informative guide who wasn’t above some dad jokes! We did the tour essentially on arrival to Brussels, so we could see some of the tour highlights whilst enjoying the gustatory culture, letting us return to review these later. Julie and Gaylor were fantastic, helping us make great memories between some mouthfuls of truffles, barrels of laughs and chalices of beer. Would highly recommend.

This was hands down the best thing we did in Brussels! Dan and Emmanuel were fantastic guides and the chocolate and beer were delicious! The whole tour was funny, engaging and informative, the guides did a great job with integrating the group - so much so that half us went out together after the tour for more drinks! There was families, couples, friends and solo travellers on the tour and everyone loved it! Will do again!

Martin was the best tour guide we’ve had in over 15+ tours! Charismatic, knowledgeable, and fun. This is a MUST tour if visiting Brussels. You’ll understand and taste some of the best chocolates, and of course, beer 🍺.

Excellent tour and great to do at the beginning of your trip because you get to see and taste things you may not normally go for without being a local. Highly recommend and Julie was great! They teach you about the culture as well and show you around some local attractions. Very informative and fun to meet people!

AMAZING!!!! Tour guides Julie and Alex were both extremely friendly & knowledgeable about Chocolate, Beer, History! We started with walking around tasting chocolates from a variety of shops--multiple at each shop! Then had a big of Belgium history which was fun! Then ended the tour by relaxing a bit at a few pubs to sample beer. I was in it for the chocolate and my husband for the beer but we both loved the tour! Glad we did it at the beginning of our visit to Brussels so we learned about bit about the area and the lay of the land.

This is a great way to spend afternoon in Brussels - you will visit multiple chocolate shops and pubs alongside historical landmarks. We have really enjoyed all the bear and chocolate and learned a lot of new information about Brussels from our tour guide Jeremy. Will definitely recommend to anyone who is traveling to Brussels!

Marie and Julie gave a terrific tour. There was a bit of history, lore, and architecture, and a few of the top-10 Brussels tourist spots - yes, Manikin Pis is one of them - in addition to a few artisanal chocolate shops and three bars. There was plenty of beer and chocolate to sample, and with each one, Marie provided a thorough explanation laced with humor. It was a delightful afternoon.

The best beer and chocolate tasting experience I’ve had! We had Julia giving us a tour as well as an amazing tasting experience. Not only did she give a great tour but she was so friendly and bubbly and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. Thank you again!

Excellent balance of both . . .. great chocolate and excellent beers. Highly recommend for those experiencing Brussels for the first time. Great info on the city, it restaurants, it's culture, and so much more m! Tour guide Daniel was very informative and personable. Very impressed.

The tour may be expensive, but it's well worth it and the best tour we've been on. Our tour guide, Marie, was not only knowledgeable about the beer and chocolate, but also gave us a history lesson while walking around Brussels. From start to finish, the tour lasted about five (5) hours going from several different chocolate shops and local pubs. Prior to this tour, we took a historical walking tour and Marie put that tour guide to shame. If I could go back I would've canceled that tour. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Brussels!

Did this tour a few days ago whilst visiting Brussels and it was absolutely amazing 🙏 you het to go round master chocalatiers and sample the chocolates and also you het to do a beer tasting session sampling Belgian blondes snd triples as well as having food snd a walking history tour of Brussels. Made some good friends on this tour and Julie snd Jeremy were absolutely fantastic. Deffs recommend this especially if you lovee beer and chocolate.

I highly recommend this excellent tour. Our guide, Daniel showed us around, he was very informative, friendly, and answered all of our questions, not just about beers, or chocolate, but generally about Brussels, and Belgium. The tour itself was very well balanced between eating chocolates, learning about its history, walking, sightseeing, and visiting bars for beers. At one place on the Grand Place, we exclusively had the whole 1st floor of a restaurant for ourselves, with exceptional views to the city. Thank you again for everything, Daniel, and Mary!

Amazing experience with a knowledgeable and engaging person, what a great way to see the city and learn some history about it while enjoying excellent chocolate and beer. Mary was phenomenal and explained why she chose the chocolates and beers that she did and what made them unique. We had some trepidation about the tour due to the cost and time commitment but you will not regret it and will have a great time. Highly recommended!!!

Have joined this tour before a couple of years ago, and joined them for another tour today. Different locations and products from last time. Informative, entertaining, and good value for the price. Chocolate at three different locations, then beer at three different locations. The guides are knowledgeable and provides useful tips on shops, restaurants and bars for the remainder of your stay. Can highly recommend this tour, will probably join again when I re-visit Brussels.

This was an awesome food tour. Trying all the great chocolates and beer was definitely worth the price. We got more than a dozen tastes of chocolate and about 6 half glasses of beer. By the end of the night you will be enjoying good conversation. Baptiste was knowledgeable and witty. He was a great guide!

  • 5/5 Emily W. 4 years ago on Google
By far the best part of our time in Brussels! We were fortunate enough to have Adrian and Pierre as our tour guides and they were absolutely wonderful - knowledgeable, humorous and helpful throughout the 4.5-5 hour tour. The pace of the tour was perfect as we never felt rushed in any of the places that we visited nor did we linger too long in one place. The amount of chocolate and beer provided, as well as the tour of the highlights of the city, were well worth the price tag and we tasted some of the best chocolate I've ever had in my life. Without a doubt we would do this tour again, as well as recommend it to everyone we know who is traveling to/through Brussels.

  • 5/5 Jordan R. 4 years ago on Google
From the start of the tour you can tell Baptiste really has a passion for Belgian chocolate and beer. From little known facts about different chocolatiers and all the requirements of some traditional Belgian beer,to some local history lessons about the beautiful architecture you will walk by. From start to finish you will have a good time and enjoy every stop. Then take your new found beer loving friends to grab some more in the many other bars and clubs in the area. If you are there for a short time this tour is a must.

Baptist was an amazing host. He made the whole experience full of fun and great anecdotes. The group energy was easy and friendly as well. It was worth it. Plus all the chocolates and beer was icing on the cake . Baptist gave great suggestion for the pralines too .

Went on this fabulous tour yesterday. Our guide Marie was excellent! Informative and funny! Appreciated the recommendations too. Gailor, who was assisting, was ready to lend a hand at any moment and enjoyed a great conversation after it was over when many of us stayed to have more drinks at the last stop. Travelling alone, this was a great way to have some company with the other attendees. This tour absolutely deserves the high reviews, definitely recommend it!

Great tour of some attractions, while getting to try all different kinds of great chocolate and beer. We even got to try the best beer in the world! The tour guide was phenomenal and very friendly

My friends and I stumbled on this tour. I am so glad we did. Our guide was amazing. She was funny, personable, knowledgeable, and really made the experience. The amount of chocolate and beer tastings was more than expected. Belgium definitely knows how to do beer and chocolates. I felt like a local learning history of the city and checking out local spots I would have probably never found on my own. I highly recommend this tour. It is really the secret to the best beer and chocolate spots and avoids the tourist traps. This is a must if you are visiting Brussels!

Leo and Jeremy were amazing guides. They had a great sense of humor keeping the group engaged, laughing, and most importantly always full with chocolate and beer. We saw parts of the city we otherwise wouldn't have and learned more about some of the major sites.

My mom and I did this tour during our recent trip to Belgium. This was by far the most fun experience I had during my first trip to Brussels. Julie and Jeremy were the greatest hosts. Knowledgeable, funny, friendly, and just all around a joy to be around. A wonderful introduction to the city & a glimpse into its history. And of course, a lovely introduction to wonderful Belgian Beer & Chocolate. Well worth the money; with half a day of entertainment seeing highlighted bits of the city, no less than 6 beers, a few chocolates, and plenty of nibbles. Julie hung around and had a drink with our group well beyond the end of the tour. We even got to meet Mary herself. ♡♡ A lovely couple on our tour bought everyone in our group a very rare bonus beer. (We ended up running into them at a Christmas Market in Cologne, Germany a couple days later. SMALL WORLD!) Can't wait to travel back with my husband and experience this afternoon all over again! If you are in Brussels and you enjoy good beer and good fun, make this tour a priority!

We had an amazing day with Daan and the Hungry Mary Team in Brussels! The perfect combination of beer, chocolate, information and tons of fun thrown in. We are travelling with our young daughter (21 months) who was fully embraced by not only the guides but the whole group. The perfect way to spend a day in the city. Thanks so much! Have a wonderful Christmas guys.
