What an amazing experience!! Best 8 hours I’ve spent at sub-zero temperatures in my life. Could easily have stayed longer. The rides were great and all the themed displays inspiring. I can well imagine that it can get quite full when it’s warmer, but we did not have any queues on the day.

We have visited the location more of curiosity due to the fact we are not very much into amusement parks. But we had lots of fun in various places, from Max&Moritz to Baron... 😂. In the end we had a great day, full of everything. We'll return here gladly! What I liked the most it was the fact that each attraction had a story behind and it was completely integrated in the park. Suitable for small kids or big kids just like myself turning 49 next month 😂

Very satisfying! Not the DISNEY style, but the mood lasts no less than its. You can see lots of details in all aspects, and you may not like them all but they all maters! From their website, APP(IT’S BRILLIANT), the design of all the attractions, to the activities from on-line to on-site, they are just amazing. The history and the importance in the Dutch people are no need to be mentioned any more. Everyone should come and experience this amazing place! It’s the old story but in an easygoing-yet-not-boring-at-all style.

Was here back in 2019 on a school trip. Amazing theme park work plenty of rides for anyone who loves coasters. The atmosphere was great too and the music playing throughout the park added to the experience. Food was good and staff were friendly. It was pricey and queues were long but it was worth it! Definitely will return if I get the chance and I do recommend.

Loved it. We had a lovely day. Especially good for families with smaller kids. Nevertheless, there are great roller-coasters for older kids and adults. The distances in the park are quite long but everything is good connected, there is a steam train going around which stops at different locations. Toilets are everywhere, same as food places. Highly recommend it!

The place is awesome, so many rides and so thrilling fun. The only drawback was that when we were there, 3 main rides were closed. That’s why I took 1 star off. Always check the rides status before you plan your trip. We went in a weekday in March, the weather was good and the rides were not so busy. The fire and water show in the main lake at the end 18:00 was awesome as well. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The best thing was that they would take care of my daughter who was too small to sit on bigger rides while I was enjoying the rides. :) the Fairly takes rides were so nice my daughter and I loved that the most. :) Will visit again when all rides are open. Always keep in mind that you need at least the entire day for the park.

Excellent park! Went there with my wife and son and we've had lots of fun! We visited the park for 2 days and a half and we still have stuff to visit when we will go back. We stayed at their hotel and the overall experience was wonderful! There are a lot of things to do and visit for all ages, our son has 5 years and he enjoyed everything. We also liked the fact that there is lots of green spaces around, you feel like in a forest all the time with fresh air and large trees around. It seemed a bit crowded sometimes but even so the lines were moving fast and one could enjoy the experiences in a decent amount of time given the crowd. The park application is also helpful as you can see all the places you can see and the estimated waiting time, as well as an integrated navigation map to get around. We will definitely visit again soon!

The fairytale forest is an old fashioned thrill rediscovering an old fairytale or two of a forgotten childhood. The various themed sections each offering a major ride or two ensures an even distribution of people across the entire park. We tried the new theatre attraction Caro and it was a heartwarming story for the ages. This is where the Efteling succeeds is making everyone feel included.

A fantastic Theme Park for a family day out. Well organized and run. Can be busy but the app helps you monitor the queue times. Plenty to do and see in the park. Bring a little lunch and enjoy the gondola ride on the lake. Overall had a great day out here. Barron and Python were excellent 👌

Loved this place. First stop for our holiday to the Netherlands. We stayed in the hotel so could take our time going through the park. The wait times for the rides are generally 20 minutes. Far quicker than any theme park in the UK. Also the food and drink seem quite reasonably priced. Would recommend the Caro show if you get a chance to watch. Would go back again definitely! The app is also a must for directions and also giving you alerts for wait times for the rides.

I just love Efteling! It is way better than any Disneyland! So authentic and so so like a fairytale! I go with my (now adult) children or even just with my partner 3-4 times a year! This year we celebrated New Year’s Eve at the Efteling,- second time in my life. And (though this time much more people than the first time) it was just awesome! Great music, great light show! Loved the snowy Christmas trees , silent disco etc etc etc! Highly recommend!

Maybe I am 33 years old, so what? Efteling is nothing less than a magical place that we all wanted to visit in our days of youth. From the moment you start to approach the huge, enchanted entrance and you hear the music, you instantly transformed to what you always wanted to be! A hero of legend, a princess or a prince, a fairy or wizard, a knight or dwarf warrior! The rides are a bit small but well crafted, every little detail is well made with care, all the attractions have that unbelievable fairytale like vibe! A place that I strongly recommend for everyone to visit, especially people who always dreaming and want the life to have a touch of fantasy! Will be visiting again.

Really wonderful, magical and fun place to visit with friends! So impressed with the quality and details put into the park. Every experience is well thought out. Such a nice variety of things to do. Food was well priced, not what I expected (compared to other big theme parks). Interactive map on their app is great, you get to see the live waiting time for all the rides. Very well organized theme park I’ve ever been to. I was skeptical at first cuz of the price but decided to go for it. And it turned out to be the best decision. We are not a fan of roller coasters so this fantasy theme park is just right for me and my kid. The park opens at 10-19 and we were there the whole day without feeling bored at all. I’ve been to many amusement parks and most of them wouldn’t excite me after couple of hours. What I like is that you can take a train to go from one side of the park to the other. This saves us lot of time to walk around and that we can have an overall glimpse of what they have. I would say this park has everything to offer for all ages. 👍highly recommended 👍

We didn't have much time here today as we came in late from the airport. Luckily we went with somebody who has a season pass regularly. We went on nearly every ride that was running. This park is definitely for the entire family. It has roller coasters that are nice and smooth. Laid out nice to mix things up and plenty of shade.

The garden was wonderful and each section was more beautiful than the other. We spent a whole day in the garden and did not play all the games and see all the sections. I think the garden is enough for two days. There are also free offers throughout the day, many restaurants and gift shops, and also simple games for younger children, the place is organized It is tidy and clean, and each game has a different story. We had a fantastic time. The rides were great. The longest que was around 30 minutes on the best ride which is understandable because it was really exciting to ride it. I cannot fathom how some kids were using the rides but everyone had fun which is great.

Ice skating was a lovely extra and very reasonably priced (2.5euro per person) Because we visited midweek in December (tuesday) there was pretty much no queues to get on any ride. Loved the atmosphere and it wasn't too far to walk anywhere to any of the rides or attractions. Attention to detail is great and the theme is carried throughout the park, really did feel like you were in a magical elf land.

If you are thinking of visiting (which I highly recommend) make sure to check a few things: - if you visit with younger children, take your time. Two days instead of a single day will allow you to go through the park at your own pace. Make sure to book a lodging at one of their resorts! - try to visit on less busy days! Their website has great information on when the less busy days will be - don’t forget to look at their website to find which rides are open and which aren’t! Don’t be surprised when you arrive, as some attractions undergo maintenance during the less busy months (mostly in the winter and spring) Have fun!

Whilst the park was extremely busy on second day of Christmas the day was amasing and magical indeed. The winter theme is really well executed (and big as well). The evening lights are sublime. Rides added since I last visited some 12 years ago all seem to be great choices, also offering more thrilling rides. The Flying Dutchman ride embodies the theme park feel with a unique experience. The closing show at the big lake near the entrance is a must see!

Amazing experience for kids & adults. We spent 12 hours in the park (from 10am to 10pm) and it was enough for us to see everything we want. Everybody working there was nice. The park is super clean. Lots of themes for every taste and every age. The wait for attractions was more than okay when comparing to previous experiences in Belgium and France (no more 15 minutes and you don’t feel it). If you can, download their app, you can definitely see everything from there : time wait, map, restaurant… seriously we spent an amazing day. The big plus for us is the price point. Even the food and drinks were the cheapest we had in a park. Congratulations Efteling, we highly recommend !

It was such great fun for everyone! The rides are super fun. They have quite a big selection, and some rides are really for adrenaline freaks, but there are also quite a lot of fun rides for people who want something easier. They have 2 queues for most popular rides, one for groups of people (25 min wait), and the single riders queues (5min wait). We mostly used single rider queues and still didn't manage to see the whole park. The food choices in the park are quite good and also affordable.

A lot of similarities to Disneyland except the themes are different. Very detailed and the atmosphere is great. Queues waiting times were way too long for a week day though, could get to 1+ hours on the bigger coasters.

It was the best amusement park we've visit in Europe so far. Even better than Europa park that we love. Attention to the details, fantastic buildings, decorations and attractions. Best park for 1,10 cm height kids. Almost all attractions are available. Also reccomend to visit the Cargo show. We've spend there 2 full days and that was enough to explore it.

Such a brilliant family day out, long opening hours 10am til 10pm which is brilliant to get to do everything. Not that we managed to do everything like the nest park. But we done all the rides we wanted to, like the app which tells you how long the queues are and can set notifications when they get shorter which is brilliant. Only downside is the carparking price ¢12.50 is quite alot on top of everything. But overall it was brilliant day out.

Very nice for 3 days with 2 kids. Queues were between 20 and 50 minutes a bit everywhere. Understandable for a weekend. Rides are diverse enough for any tastes and family composition. We loved the early entry for the hotel guests. We could enjoy the busy rides like this.

Really enjoyed this place - loads of rides catering for all ages; the queues were fine and the live updates tell you what's busy; food was much better than expected and not as outrageously priced as other, similar places; and the whole feel was much more interesting and quirky than Disney.

I visited Efteling as a surprise for my older sister's bday gift. We enjoyed it as adults. Such a nostalgic feeling of fairytales of our childhood. The attractions were brilliant and lovely. We had fun and definitely when it's gonna be a new hotel in 2024 as it stated. I will come for a longer weekend trip.

It's really impossible to finish the whole area within a day, so my suggestion is take the train to get a sight of what and where you want to go first. Also you can download the photos from each ride. Kids will have more fun there because they have plenty of rides suitable for them. I loved every details there. While these constructions detracted from the visual appeal and somewhat dampened the atmosphere, I still had a fantastic time. The park's charm persists, especially in the smaller fairy tales. I highly recommend visiting the Efteling, as I have always done and will continue to do so.

It was such a lovely experience & even if you booked tickets for a full day, you’re unable to see all their attractions! Two downsides would be the very long cues & nearly hour of waiting for the rides plus when buying hotdogs or food they don’t use gloves & hair caps which is unhygienic.

Fantastic theme park, fairy take theme with a nice mix of rides from extreme to super-mild, and animations. Price fair, lower than most, incl done places with far less. Queues low to reasonable (no fast track option but many rides have sole-rider queues), only one ride bad all day. Only food could be better, though less rubbish than most theme parks (and it’s almost all tasty). Could use more coffee availability. Especially recommend the fairy dreamhouse, what they call the “madhouse”, the light show and the beautifully restored ancient carousel. Staff friendly and helpful.

Incredible amusement park! The attractions are very good quality and such fun. The roller coasters were my most favourite. The Viking ship is also very good. It’s an amusement park with various options for young children that can also be enjoyed by adults and is sure to be fun for the whole family but it’s also an amazing daytrip with friends! My and three of my girl friends came from Amsterdam and had an amazing girls trip. The food at the park is amazing, we had hotdogs and they were very good, I had the vegan and it was amazing and my friends loved the traditional one as well. The caramel popcorn was also delish and so were the chips (fries) and the Kaassouffle. The park has a few shops great for souvenir or toys shopping but it also sells candy like candy floss and Tony chocolonely bars. They provide you with lockers for a fair price in case you don’t want to go around with all your items. We went in the winter and it was all Christmas decorated and rather empty which was good because we could go on pretty much most of the rides, a few of them twice. I’d definitely recommend it if you are planning a fun daytrip from Amsterdam with friends or with kids! Very easy access by train.

The place is very big so your younger kids might have trouble walking very much. They have a beautiful and big water fountain show at night. I really highly recommend this place.

The app was perfect indicating waiting times. Nice parking facilities and super fast entry. Only issues that most stuff were in dutch although the park caters to an international audience and it was extremely busy (it was 1st Sunday of autumn holidays in Netherlands). Of course no one was respecting any measures/rules. Nice value for money compared to other parks.

Efteling is an amazing theme Park. It is fairly large and has a solid amount of attractions, and it’s beautiful. I didn’t see every corner of the park, but I rode all of the major rides. There is something for everyone and no ride that could be too intense for someone. Be aware of the crowds though, this park has a high attendance. As much as I recommend the visit, it’s still not my favorite park in the Netherlands, that would be Toverland.

Spent 2 night at the Efteling Hotel and 3 days in the park. Absolutely fantastic. Plenty to see and do, the attractions were on point. Plenty food and drink that was well priced and all the staff were amazingly friendly. Absolutely will be back!

A wonderfully themed park with top class rides, the crowds never seem to dissipate but there's quieter areas when you're away from the main coasters! Food selection is excellent and reasonably priced considering it's park food, plenty to see and do but just be prepared to wait for a good while especially if any of the big coasters goes down!

USA has Disney and Netherlands has Efteling! Had a wonderful time! Rides were a ton of fun and lots to see. They had Ice skating, fire camps, and boat rides in the pond. There were miners roaming around for photo ops and staff were very friendly. The closing show included lighted water works with music - just beautiful. Very fun experience!

The park does definitely have some larger rides (including Baron which was disappointingly closed both days we were there) but ultimately I think it's an ideal park for families. The number of ride and experiences that are perfectly catered to 8-13 year olds is just staggering, and easily as impressive as bigger parks like Disneyland Paris. The bigger rides are also really good and the food and drink offerings are some of the best value for any theme park I've ever visited.

I LOVE EFTELING! The best theme park that is out there to my opinion. I go every year on my birthday and it’s always special. This year I even got a button that it’s my birthday (so awesome). It was pretty busy but with the app you can find your way around the park and avoid some unnecessary lines. + on your birthday you get discount of 12,50 for you and your friends!

Suggestions for the summer: water, snacks (because local restaurants and food stands have mediocre options at best), comfy shoes (never new ones), band aid in case your shoes do start torturing your feet, sunglasses, cap/sunhat, phone case that has a rope that you can attach like a x-body bag, really handy on fast rides or on the Pagoda one, phone charger, sunscreen and lip balm with SPF. Everything in a backpack, it's allowed to take in, and there's also lockers available. On some rides you can get very dizzy so plan carefully if you have a condition. On some rides you can get water splashed but despite the advice to take spare clothes, I can say it wasn't needed for me because the splashes are manageable and everything dries quite quick in the sun.

Loved our trip. It was never very busy so we did all rides and our favorite ones multiple times! Food was above theme-park average we can say. Our stay in Bosrijk in a forest bungalow was also great.

We felt it was great value for money, and all the kids (ages 11-15) had the best day. The 10pm close time means you get to enjoy a full day without the feeling of rushing around.

An amazing weekend spent here! We stayed in a wonderful woodland cottage in the village of Bosrijk, which was only a 10 minute walk to the park. Staying on site allowed us early entry into the park each day, which meant we were able to tick off some of the bigger rides before the ques got too long. However across the whole weekend we were there the longest wait time was only 40 minutes. There is so much to do, and the kids loved it, ours range in age from 10 to 2 and they all were entertained the whole time. You can add on a photo pass which means you get all of your ride photos and any meet and greet pics across the time you are there. Food wise, there are lots of fast food snacks and treats and some restaurants even have special treats for the kids, such as games, plates and glasses you can take home with you. We loved it so much we are thinking about going back at Christmas.

This place was a next level experience for me coming from Canada. You don’t get to see parks like this back home at least on the western side of Canada. There was so much to do here we couldn’t get it all done in a day. The rides were spectacular as well entertainment and food and drinks.
