If you come with a non-functioning article you bought there, just make sure you speak to a competent person. It may be that a lady with long blond hair will ask you to pay 50 Euros for the reparation or refuse your claim, but do not worry, another kinder person may accept your claim another day maybe. Or, simply don't buy anything and go to the newly opened FNAC in this shopping center :)

Today bought a brand new Dolce Gusto coffee machine at Vanden Borre in Woluwe shopping center. When I arrived home and tried the coffee machine, this machine leaked water like it was a strainer. Immediately jumped into the car and registered myself at Vanden Borre Woluwe shopping center. The repair service took a look at this and removed a small, sharp metal component in the suction point from the water reservoir to the pump (what is this loose piece of metal doing in a brand new machine in this place?). Then they assumed that the machine would work again (how can they know this? I think these people DON't understand what kind of tests these machines undergo at the factory before deciding on proper functioning). My demand for a new machine was immediately rejected. When I went through with my claim, he threatened to kick me out of the store. My native language is Dutch. My French is far from perfect. When I asked to switch to English, I was told that not everyone speaks English. When I proposed to go to Dutch, the same Vanden Borre shop manager suggested I switch to Greek ... Besides my technical problem with this coffee machine, I wonder how it is possible that a shop manager, responsible for a Brussels Vanden Borre branch, is unable to speak English or Dutch. The shop manager in question is named Vasilios D. He is arrogant, on the verge of being aggressive and unable to deliver correct customer service. I NEVER buy 1 product at Vande Borre in the future anymore. I will also notify all my family, friends and colleagues. Customer service way below 1 in 5!

Went the VandenBorre shop in Woluwe Shopping Centre to buy a TV. I explained that the heavy post-processing features always give me a headache and make me dizzy. I asked if they could change the picture setting on a Philips TV into FilmMakerMode to see how it worked for me. They told me I should seek help for my medical problem, that they won't make a change like this on their TVs, that I was the fist customer to ever ask them to make a change with the TV remote control on their display TVs, and that a normal customer looks at the screen and then decides to buy. He told me customers don't try out TVs before they buy. I told him that in this case they cannot help me and I would go elsewhere. They acted as if I was being unreasonable. I politely left, wishes them bonjourné, and they gave a nasty look on their face and very sarcastic "egalement". Afterwards, I went into town to MediaMarkt where the kind gentlement gave me the remote control, let me play, and then I bought the TV for MediaMarkt instead. No wonder the VandenBorre shop was totally devoid of customers. The staff scared them off! -- The manager replied and apologised.

Having a stupid non return/ refund policy , which I doubt that is in line with the Belgian law, they do not realize that they just lose customers. The market is full of serious stores, that want clients and want to earn money, which seems that is not the case of Vanden Borre Woluwe. . Besides their non- customer oriented policy, the employees are completely rude and incompetent. I was cheated once, but I I'll never buy again from this store. Definitely I 'll never recommend it..

Very unclear and confusing return policy, I'll advice against shopping there as some articles cannot be returned and they will not inform you beforehand. Also very rude employees.

Never go again to this place. I wanted to by smartphone for my daugther's Birthday. Went to their shop in advance, ordered it, they made me pay part of the amount in advance and said the phone will arrive in 10 days and that I shall receive sms when to come to pick it up. I never received sms from them. A day before my daughter's Birthday I called the shop and got reply that the phone will never be delivered to me and that I have 2 options either to wait for their sms about non-delivery or go to shop and write refusal, so that in 3 weeks I get my money back. Next day we went to the shop, did the paperwork and without any excuses or explanations from their side were told to wait for 3 weeks to get money back. Almost 4 weeks have passed since then and they did not send my money back. Make your own opinion about poor unprofessional image of the company who charges big money for nothing. Thieves!

Dismal, rude, incompetent and arrogant in terms of service. With no interest or attention to client needs. Will not be shopping there again.

We were literally screamed at by the manager when we asked to change a product. In 3 opportunities I had to ask him to moderate his tone. It's ok to refuse but it is sad such uneducated person is a manager. Stay away of buying products here.

very bad experience. Firstly got pushed to order a product that was the only one available who by the way provided negative feedback on the brand that served us well for 10 Years (which is only sold at this chain store!). Delivery dates kept postponed despite the knowledge that we had an urgent need. When it arrived it was damaged. After cancelling, i am still waiting for the refund that was promised a week ago. Wrote to customer service, yet to even get an acknowledgement. If i have to make a trip another time to the store then it would be the 4th time to simply get my money back! Vanden Borre is out of touch with its customers!

The place actually is ok, but the fact that it needs full police protection with automatic weapons kind of ruins the experience. In all honesty everywhere in Belgium seems to be like this. Best of luck to you if you visit the place.

I have bought a cooking top from them. When they came to install it they refused to remove the old cooking top. They said it is siliconed and can’t do it. After they went I was able to remove it without a problem and it was not siliconed as they said.

It seems to part of the Vandenborre culture that staff are too busy to help customers. It's the same in all their stores. When you finally get someone they can be quite condescending. Sadly they have a wide range of electro goods so sometimes you have to go

Amazing service! My Eufy camera (which I bought online) stopped working after a few months and they gave me a new one right away. Since the price had dropped €5, they even gave me a €5 coupon on top. Thank you!

Attention! Really bad respectless sellers, verbally insulting clients if you don't want to give your name and phone number when you buy a 350€ product. Ridiculous!
