I came here for a relaxing weekend, but a wedding on the property played loud music until 2:00am. It was impossible to sleep and gave me a crazy headache. You would think that the hotel would care about its other guests and put earlier limitations on how late the music could play and on the volume level. But they didn't even warn us that there would be a wedding. So I payed over $220 per night to be miserable. I wish I could write something better because the grounds are beautiful, but this has been such a huge disappointment for me. I do not recommend staying here unless you are part of the wedding party.

Ate at the restaurant here. Delicious mole in a beautiful and rustic setting. There are plants and greenery throughout the complex and the garden is full of old trees.

We attended a wedding here and also stayed here 2 nights. The staff were friendly and accommodating, helping us bring our luggage up many flights of stairs. We booked the most simple room which was extremely spacious and had a wonderful balcony with table and chairs. We booked it through a special rate for the wedding which was very reasonably priced. The venue was beautiful - there's a ton of outdoor space. The wedding dinner was pretty good. We also had buffet breakfast which had a ton of variety to choose from. 1 evening we also did in-room dining, which we took advantage of the table in the balcony. The cleaning staff were very kind to offer supplies while we were using the room all day to relax, then when we went out they quickly cleaned it for us even though we didn't expect them to. The pool was really nice - our party really enjoyed the facilities and the pool side food + drinks service. There is a pharmacy and bank 2 mins walk from the hotel reception. The bus station is a 15min taxi, which you can take to get back to Mexico City Airport. I would highly recommend taking the bus since it's nicely air conditioned, whereas taxis will not turn on their A/C generally. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here!

Went for the restaurant and it was great! The service was on top of everything, they were super helpful and friendly. It is a little hidden but well worth the visit. Lord of amenities to offer as well.

Stayed three nights for a wedding and it's one of the most beautiful resorts we've been to in Mexico, I can see why it's a popular wedding venue! Rooms were very comfortable and spacious, loved the outdoor balconies with a small coffee table. We saw the sunrise from our window every morning which was amazing. They had a heated pool and restaurant, also a spa but the spa doesn't have air conditioning so it was blazing hot during my facial which was meh. But the hotel itself is beautiful with so much lush foliage and big trees. There's a mini market like a 5 min walk away and a 15 min Uber ride to downtown. If you're also going for a wedding, they don't have irons in the room you need to ask reception. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and costs around 600 something pesos, was worth it.

Hotel Cortes was a dream wedding for my now wife and me. The grounds are outstanding and the service is amazing. We had to plan our wedding from the United States. Our wedding would have been impossible without our wedding planner Diana Intriago. Diana lives in Cuernavaca and is familiar planning weddings at Hotel Cortes. During the whole planning from the States, Diana was constantly with us from Mexico with how responsive and quick she was to get tasks done. Diana is a super star. Liliana also was a great calming influence and guiding us through our process. All of our friends have said this is the most fun wedding they have experienced. Highly recommend!

Elegant, gorgeous complex with pool, restaurant and labyrinthine grounds. Some structures date to the 1500s. Amazing place for a wedding. Be sure to get outside the walls and walk around the town too, locals are very friendly and forgiving of no espanol.
