The staff was pleasant and were working hard. Never saw management but apparently they are not on top of things. This is a review of the place itself. We evacuated for Hurricane Laura and prepaid our rooms. We checked out early and went further north. I asked for a refund of the night we did not stay and was told I had to go through manager in the adjoining hotel. Didn’t have time so I called. Message taken for manager to call me also emailed and told someone would call. I have had no calls and it’s been almost a week. So here is an accurate review of property:Lots of cussing heard from other guests. Musty. No working attached light. Strobing light. Tv not working. One couch accent size square pillow per bed. Clogged sink. Smoke detector not connected in drawer. Toliet paper looked like it had gotten wet and previously dried out. Towels and sheets had stains. Marijuana smoke smell in hall. Mismatched bedding. Bleach stain under a rug. Tenants asking for money so they can afford another night. (I felt bad for this person, but it’s unnerving)

Took my $100 deposit. Maids became obtuse after the 1st week stay when i asked for clean sheets. While staying, i would strip my linen and towels, walk it to laundry and wash. I think by far THE WORST ordeal during the experience, is when one of the Maids walked up in my room without notice. Both me and my son are looking at this woman, perplexed. The audacity & disrepect after paying $1000 for 3 weeks.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Horrific is the best word I could use to describe it. Drive up and see broken windows, crooked curtains, and seedy looking people. Honestly should have just drove out of the parking lot right then and there and hope for a refund since we'd already paid for the room, but didn't. Walk inside to find it so dilapidated, stains on old, outdated carpet, water damage on the ceiling, flickering lights everywhere, it's like a horror movie. Shirtless men wandering in the hallways. I thought these places only existed on tv! Found our room and are immediately assaulted with cigarette smoke and something else to mask the scent of it in our "no smoking" room. Broken lampshades, saggy armchair, beer caps and a screwdriver on the floor. Housekeeping must be nonexistent here. Let's move to the bathroom. No toilet paper, no soap, bathtub is stained beyond belief. White towels are either stained brown, or they don't bother cleaning them. After the lights were turned off, the roaches started crawling all over the walls, on the floor, in the tub. Slept fitfully all night until 4:30 when all of us realized that we were all awake that we decided to leave as quickly as possible and get on the road. Only reason we stayed as long as we did was so the kids could get some rest.

We tried to stay here in late June 2020 but the first room they gave us the window was open and there were a bunch of ants on the walls/pillows. We requested to be switched to a different room and they gave us a room on the second floor. It was slightly nicer but the smoke detector didn’t have batteries and kept chirping every 10 seconds. It was clear they knew that the batteries were out because they had taped over the speaker. I went to the front desk to get batteries and they said they didn’t have any. We weren’t going to stay in a room without a functioning smoke detector and I’m relatively sure the hotel isn’t allowed to set us up in a room without working safety features. We then had to pay $20 to upgrade to the Ramada because they said the room was purchased through a third party (booking.com) and was non-refundable. We paid for the upgrade. I have since tried to go through booking.com to receive a refund for my original room but per their customer service person who reached out to the Travelodge manager, this room was non-refundable. So Travelodge literally gave us a room we could not legally stay in and then refused to give us a refund. Most the hotels around here are owned by the same company. Do yourself a favor and stay some place owned by someone else and book directly through the hotel. This is a racket.

Well let’s start by saying that you can just feel the creepiness when you pull into the parking lot. The lady was nice and tried her hardest to help us. However, when we unloaded everything into our rooms, upstairs mind you. (We evacuated for hurricane Laura) so we had quite a bit of stuff. We pulled the sheets back and there was trash and grass in the sheets. And a BED BUG was on the pillow. When we told the manager she advised us that they don’t have bed bugs. We left within 10 minutes. They refuse to give us a refund. BED BUGS y’all!!! Do not stay here!! Run away as fast as you can!!

I was visiting my granddaughter in Texarkana and thought I would stay at the Travelodge located at 5100 North State Line in Texarkana Arkansas. When I walked into the lobby, I was engulfed in an overwhelming stench, and immediately got nauseated. I had to leave before I even got to the desk. The closest I can get to describing the smell inside the building is wet, soured carpet -. the kind Bigfoot might use to sleep on, and the probable cause of the sickening, eye-watering reek associated with Bigfoot.

We went to all the surrounding hotels before this one because of the ratings but we were so glad we did! Don't let a few peoples bad experiences stop you from coming here! Best beds hands down! Front desk was extremely helpful and down to earth guy! Will definitely be back on our way back! Better than most $100 dollar hotels we've been at!

Old and disgusting rooms. I had my backpack with my brand new tablet in it. Stolen at this motel.

We booked this to evacuate for a hurricane. We called 5 times to ensure we would get a down stairs room because my dad is a disabled veteran. When we got here there was no downstairs room and we had to get him up stairs. When we got all of our things in the room we discovered bed bugs! Do NOT stay here. It’s terrible.

We booked through Expedia and the pictures were nothing like what the actual room was. When we went into the room we saw 2 cockroaches. There were dirty and stained towels in the bathroom. Despite getting a non-smoking room, the room still smelled like cigarettes. The area was really sketchy and there was a police car that went through the parking lot while we checked in. Needless to say, we checked out within a half hour of being there.

Lady at the desk upon checking in was super nice. Check in was a breeze and easy. Breakfast was a grab and go kinda breakfast, but the office was closed at 6:15 when I went to go get it for our room. Now for the room. Walls looked either dirty or needed painting. When getting assigned the room, clerk had to pick from a list of rooms that cable wasnt out in. Sheets on beds were either stained or doet but beds were made and not to shabby on comfy. Did not have a coffee maker or your typical shampoo, bath sets but did have a bar of soap. Did have a microwave. Upon getting ready to leave o saw a roach crawling on the bathroom floor. If all you need is a few hour sleep, then this isnt to bad I guess. I wont stay here again though. I wont pay the $50.99 with tax again when there were cheaper places.

I usually don't complain. I last stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham here, there was no hot water, and the fridge was so loud you could barely have a phone call in the room. No complaint from me.
This room at the Travelodge, is the absolute worst hotel or motel experience I've ever had. First impressions? No toilet paper, toiletries, towels, coffee or tea etc. Smoke alarm missing. Bed dirty. Smell of stale cigarettes is so strong that it is making me gag for one (I'm not particularly averse to cigarette smell usually). I don't know how the smell is so persistent, but the odor is so strong that it has actually woken me up throughout the night. I'm about to go checkout when I finish this message as I can't stand another minute in this room. The air conditioner.... I'm not sure what it's doing but it has been on full cool all night long and the room is still hot enough to sweat in.
I had other plans for today that I now have to cancel because there is absolutely no way I can go anywhere but home considering all of my belongings now smell like they've been swished around a communal ashtray.
The rest of the hotel is falling apart, the carpets all stained with splotches from assumable bodily fluids. The paint that is on the walls is yellowed but much of it has flaked off the walls onto the floor.
When I visited the lobby again last night to at least ask for towels and toilet paper I was told they had run out of towels and the toilet paper wasn't addressed The solution to the smoke smell was that the front staff would walk through the room with some essential oils while I was out. This didn't happen, I'm so glad I didn't book to stay here with my child or brought a friend with me.
I literally do not need much from a hotel to not complain. Like I say my experience at the Ramada last time was pretty dreadful for the money I paid but the room was cool, the bed was clean, and I could use the restroom.
As long as those three things are true I don't have much problem but this room at Travelodge I cannot stay in for one moment longer. As such on about 3 hours sleep I'm going to cut my trip short and head home again for a very very long shower and sleep in an actual bed.
Appalling. I don't know what it would take to get me to ever book Wyndham again Oh and no breakfast just a grab bag with a. Water, a honey bun and a granola bar in it. Oh and a small orange. This place needs to be bulldozed, I can't believe it has any reviews above one star, looking through the five stars are definitely from staff or friends of the business

🫤 I want to start my review by saying that the staff here was GREAT, very friendly and helpful. Location is decent, not far from the mall and State Line Ave. The rooms have nice comfortable beds, good hot water and the fridge was ice cold.
