The only place I found in my short trip where u can relax in evening and could feel the cold breeze. Good time pass with family. Lush green with a large lake where u can enjoy boating too. Water park ride (one) is available but not in use. It looks little more beautiful when lights are on.

Astonished & got peace in my mind when I had entered inside the park. A spectacular vision can be seen throughout the whole area. From the pond to the lawns, everything is heart calming. The whole scenario is like imaginary Belgium and Netherlands.❣️

Chitralekha Udyan is a great place to spend time with your family and friends. It's area is big enough. Quality time can be spent, with beautiful view of the pond. Children's Park is also there for their amusement. Boating facility is there, which is great.

The new attractions of the place would be the Game House specially. There is a VR plank game which costs 120rs for 5mins experience. Other games cost about 40 to 60rs each. The best game for teenagers and adults would be the basketball pointer and hammer game which costs 40rs and 60rs respectively. They have also added a Duck House near the lake which has some recycled materials as decor. The dandelion fountain was my personal favourite.

On weekend, we planned to visit this place along with Agnigarh Hills. After returning from Agnigarh Hills, we visit this place. This place is very nice and having a lake, playing games for children and teenagers also . There are parking space in front of the chitralekha udyan with paid parking fees and also required tickets as entering fees . The entering fees for adults is 40 rupees and for children 10 rupees. This place is very beautiful and memorable to me and we enjoyed here very much in the evening time. The dandelion fountain looks most beautiful to me ... I have uploaded some photos of this beautiful place .

The bank's of the pond is eroding, the swimming facility needs to be functional again. Cole Park or Chitralekha Udyan as it now known as was created on orders of the then British Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Cole in 1906 as an recreational park. The park is now renamed as Chitralekha Udyan by the Government of Assam relating the mythological connection of Tezpur with the epic Mahabharata. It is said that it was here that Aniruddha grandson of Lord Krishna was lured by Usha daughter of King Bana of Sonitpur. The park besides the well laid out garden area has two massive ornamented stone pillars, and other sculptural remnants related to the historical and archeological sites around Tezpur, among which one of the most important being the replica of Bhomoraguri inscription, depicting an ancient plan of building a bridge on the River Brahmaputra by the then Ahom General Kolia Bhomora Borphukon.
