Located on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra, this park covers an area of about 430 square kilometers. A major portion being grassland with some wetlands in between. As such herbivores animals like rhinos, elephants, deer and buffaloes are common out here. Different varieties of fishes are found in the water bodies and various types of birds are seen feeding on these wetlands. In order to enter the park, one has to take elephant ride or jeep safari as hiking inside the park is prohibited. A trip to Kaziranga turns out to be a lifetime experience especially for those having interest in wildlife and wildlife photography.
