Saigon Authentic Hostel is a lovely place to stay. The staff are the best part. They are so friendly and helpful. The room is clean and beds comfortable. I enjoyed the location in district 4 for a more local feel. But district 1 isn't far, so you can easily reach the more touristic areas without any problem. The roof top terrace is nice and they organize some events to help you get to know the area and others at the hostel, if you are interested. I would gladly stay here again.

Amazing hostel, with clean and air conditioned rooms, a decent kitchen and a lovely roof top to relax in. The location is great, set in an authentic district 4 near some excellent street food locations. The hostel offers walking tours around the area as well as further out including the Cu Chi tunnels at very reasonable prices. The hostel is family run and the hosts are very very friendly and helpful to everyone. I would recommend starting here if you’re in HCMC

It was really good tour that we had with LAM. The legend!!! We did the mekong delta tour and cu chi tunnel with Saigon Authentic tours. The tunnel was so adventurous part. You should bring some mosquito spray. The mekong part was chilling vibe and relaxing to see some local products. It was a unforgetable trip. Thank you LAM

The amazing service from Saigon authentic hostel. The stay was lovely, loved the breakfast which was included. The place was clean and very close to the city center, and the Vinh Khanh street food. Enjoyed the stay. The owner supported me above the guest, he is so kind and friendly. Especially, he gave me offers about great tours such as the Cuchi tunnels, the Mekong trip, and many fantastic activities during your stay. Highly recommend Saigon authentic hostel to everyone!

It was a really good experience to Stay here on my first day of Arrival. My host was very friendly and he offered beer for free on the first day of checking in. There's also a gym in place for all the guests. He explained to me all the places to visit around and gave me the books to refer for exploring Vietnam. Really recommend this place.

This Hostel is amazing, the service is the best we've seen in all our travels. It's family run and they really care for their guests. We did the tunnel tour with Son and it was great! He's a very passionate tour guide. Do not hesitate to stay here.

Just an amazing experience! Both the tours and hostel are delightful to say the least! I had the best time during the tours going for Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta, I highly recommend to book them right away 😁 And also do the free Night Walking tour, it's brilliant to get to know the surroundings (especially on first arrival) and learn about Vietnam. Besides I also did the Vietnamese Cooking Experience on the rooftop, which puts an amazing restaurant so close to your own room 😅 And there are so many more events! In general the whole hostel is so warm, helpful, and welcome, it just sends the home vibes 💖

I had a beautiful experience in Saigon Authentic hostel. I spent 2 days there and it was amazing. It's a family business and everything is willing to help you and they make sure you have the best experience ever. They also make sure you have authentic experience. I recommend to take the cooking class (you get to eat a lot authentic food). In your to do list, you have to take to trip to Mekong Delta with Son, an amazing local guy who's gonna explain everything about the culture and history of Saigon and Delta area.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The staff was really friendly. I also went on the food tour with Son and he was an amazing tour guide! I even got to practice my Vietnamese with him! I highly recommend the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels tour. The staff does an excellent job of making it an authentic experience and we even got to ride bikes through the community. The hostel is family run and they truly care about making sure you have a great experience during your stay!

This hostel was really great! The hosts did a great job of creating a family environment- very social with evening activities for the guests to take part in. We did the cooking class and the walking tour, both were really fun and great insight into the local area. As a couple, we chose to stay in the private room- it was spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling in Ho Chi Minh.

Fantastic experience and well organized tour. We had great fun, they were taking us to the Mekong delta, coconut factory, bicycle tour and crocodile farm. We had local traditional food for lunch. Everything was included in our private tour and cheaper than the competition companies. Highly recommended!

What a lovely place ! Highly recommend staying here when you are in Ho chi mingh city. We had the double room for one night and then extended our stay and moved to the family room. Both rooms are lovely comfortable beds, sheets and towels. Water and tea coffee provided. A/c works well. Nice breakfast included cooked by the parents. A nice family atmosphere nothing too much trouble. Didn’t see the dorms it met some nice fellow travellers who were very happy. Recommend going on the Mekong delta tour It’s a long day but son was lovely and very knowledgeable. He knows he stuff ! Nothing bad to say and when we come back to Saigon we will stay here for sure (if they will have us !)

I had a great experience at the Saigon authentic hostel, the people were all very friendly and helpful. We stayed for three days in a lovely room which was very comfortable and clean. They also offer loads of activities both inside and outside of the hostel. I loved the Cu chi tunnels & Mekong delta tour they organized for us, it was a truly authentic Vietnamese experience. Our tour guide Son made it even better by bringing great energy and helping us learn loads of valuable information about the country. Would totally recommend!

Good spacious room with powerful shower and cold aircon. Cold water bottle is provided in the fridge which was really helpful in the humid weather. The hostel has several activities such as free walking tours in D4 and free beers happy hour when I was there. Staff was super helpful and friendly. The authentic hotel down the road had great views as well. I stayed one night in the hotel and one night in hostel. Both great :)

Saigon authentic hostel is a fantastic hostel, with a very tight-knit community. From the moment my friends and I arrived, we were greeted with such kindness and generosity. The room was great, very clean with all of the amenities needed. We completed the walking tour with Mr Lam, who is fantastic. The walking tour is a must do! I would recommend Saigon Authentic Hostel to anyone and everyone!

A cute little hostel which is run by very kind people. The room and bathroom were in fantastic shape and clean. The beds were very comfy with outlets and little lights next to each bed. The breakfast was delicious and probably the best I had since a while in a hostel. They also offer a lot of different activities, during our stay we participated in two: a free walking tour through District 4 and a tour to the Cu Chi tunnels (for a very good, competitive price). Both were amazing and led by Lam who is a great tour guide and happy to answer any question you could have. They also do a full day tour to the Mekong delta which we sadly couldn't join, because of our short stay :( The staff was also very happy to share their recommendations on places to eat or activities to do in the city. Overall I'm very happy with our choice to stay in this hostel and can confidently recommend it to everyone reading this :)

Great stay at Saigon Authentic Hostel! It was an awesome place to end my Vietnam trip after 1- month travel. Even though it was only short stay but I really enjoyed the hostel. They had happy hour from 6 - 8 PM for Saigon Beer on the rooftop which was very nice. Plus, their Saigon Corner on the second floor with free afternoon coffee and tea was great too. The bed was clean, spacious room with 2 bunk beds and quite room to have a good sleep. The owner was a young guy who was very kind and friendly. Will definitely come back next time, thank you!

We had been very lucky to have Lam as our guide for the day. His explanation of things were clear with a tinge of humor. The other tourists were listening to him with great interest. We have had a great day because of Lam. Thank u. Will visit again in the near future also... .

Lam was excellent and incredibly informative, the tour was great we saw so much and had the best time. Even after a bee sting Lam wasn't worried and continued on like a champion

Khoi is a knowledgeable young gentleman that is honest as he is sincere. His City Homestay is clean. comfortable and the fridge had beer waiting for us…!!! the view is to die for… 👌🍻 We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the personal guided tours we wanted and he suggested we do. Even out of the box stuff, which is very important for us. 5 Khoi, we’ll done keep up the good work 🤟

We had an amazing experience with Khoi(our guide). Khoi is very understanding and patient.. it was a very fun and relaxed trip. Food organised by the team was super delicious. In one day we experienced so many things and we really wanna thank the team for organising this wonderful private trip for us. Will definitely plan tour again with Khoi & team. Highly recommend.

After 13 hours flight all the way from Frankfurt to Ho Chi Minh, we officially started our 3 week vacation in Vietnam. I and my boyfriend decided to book the double room from Saigon Authentic Hostel to begin our journey and it was excellent. The room itself was spacious and modern design with the big window. Breakfast was yummy with noodle soup and Vietnamese coffee condensed milk. Happy hour with Saigon Beer from their rooftop in the evening was fun. We had a great talk to the couple owner who were very passionate about their hostel. Khoy and Chao gave us lots of helpful recommendations and even offered me and my boyfriend two bicycles for free It was a lovely stay and we recommend this hostel to all travelers!

We did the cu chi tunnel tour combined with the local street food tour and it really was an amazing experience. Our guide Khoi made us feel very comfortable and was well informed giving us a lot of background information. We never had the feeling to be in a rush and even had a relaxing stop on a coffee boat. The local street food was a really authentic local experience.

This is a great hostel! Nice rooms, very nice bathrooms (very clean, shower glass doors, soap and shampoo) and most important - very friendly, considerate and helpful hosts! When I booked a women-only room, they didn't charge a different amount. It is the same price as a regular dorm, and I truly appreciate it. Truly recommend. Only thing you should consider is that this hostel is located in district 4, while all the city attractions are in district 1. It is not far, but you would probably need to take a grab when you stay here.

I think this is the best hostel in the city! Lovely new hostel, light clean interiors and very friendly hosts. I live here for more than a week, everything is very convenient. Shared room for women with air conditioning, each bed has a cute curtain with koalas for privacy. Bathrooms are 100% clean! The hosts also make a very tasty breakfast, and you can relax in the evening on the rooftop of the building to have a beer and meet other travelers. There is a common area where you can work or drink tea. There are many cafes nearby and planty of shops (grocery and pharmacy), 10 minutes to the city center by moto taxi, which arrives in less than a minute. This is a very good area to get to know the local culture! You can hace a nice walk here! The owners care about safety and comfort, as well as about the community. Sometimes city tours are organized by hostel also! I will come back and will definitely recommend this place to my friends!

I stayed in Saigon authentic hostel and also did the Mekong delta full day tour. Both were an amazing experience. The host of the hostel is really kind and helpful. He remembers the names of all the guests. We also got a free mini cooking class on the rooftop, cause he thinks it's important to share culture. The hostel is also super clean. It gives the feeling of coming home. The tour was really interesting and we had a very passionate guide (his name was Lam) that was ready to answer all our questions and spoke English very well! Would recommend 100%!

the Saigon Authentic Hostel was one of the best places that I’ve ever stayed in Vietnam. I didn’t know this place just opened not so long ago even though they have recently been running the Saigon Authentic Homes couples years . So everything was so clean and lovely. from the lobby to the rooftop which are amazing. Especially, the staffs were friendly and helpful. They gave me beer bonuses, free wifi, free bicycle access for two hours. I really felt like staying with my friends not like hostel. Wonderful place! With a beautiful rooftop lounge area and cozy rooms. The staff are all wonderful, super accommodating, going above and beyond to make this place a welcoming and enjoyable environment. They also run tours for very competitive rates, and the hostel is super close to many great restaurants. Will definitely be back.

We took a private full day tour of cu chi tunnels and mekong delta tour with them. Our guide Lam was super informative and we got to learn so much about Vietnam from him. The trip was well planned and well catered. They even managed to get vegetarian food for us which was such an authentic experience for us. Overall we loved the experience and highly recommend to do it if someone has only one day in Saigon.

Son (the guide) was really knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone on the tour was really nice too. I came to this tour from a different hostel but was made to feel really welcome which was really nice! We all met for breakfast cooked by Son’s parents. The breakfast was delicious and such a great way to start the day. Overall great day 5 stars

Our family stayed at the hostel for two nights. The room was a great value and every staff/family member goes out of their way to make sure you are happy and have everything you need. Truly appreciated the rooftop welcome drink as it was a great way to meet other travelers. The location was nice as it is located on a side street in district 4 and quick walk to Food Street. Also, a quick ride to city center attractions. The staff walked us through lots of information and were very kind. Mr Son made a memorable 2day tour for us to the Mekong Delta. All logistics were handled effortlessly by Mr Son and he worked with us to craft a great 2 days we won’t forget. Mr Son discussed the area history and helped guide us through the cultural activities. The home stay and tours were a great value.

Such an amazing Hostel to stay at! Everyone is super lovely. Beds are very comfortable. Home cooked breakfast included in room cost. Plenty of recommendations of things to do, places to see and how to get around. Authentic cooking class at the hostel which was delicious and super cheap. Great options for tours. Went on the Mekong Delta tour and had the best day on boats, biking around and trying delicious food. 11/10 recommend, especially if Son is running it!
