Fun,
Food
and
Friendship:
Three
'F's
that
made
an
A+
Experience!
What
a
fantastic
experience!
Admittedly,
we
went
in
with
high
expectations
because
of
the
price,
but
it
was
worth
every
penny
and
more.
First,
some
logistics:
our
hotel
was
outside
of
the
pickup
zone,
but
we
opted
out
of
the
5USD
per
person
fee
and
met
our
guides
at
the
Ho
Chi
Minh
Opera
House.
Very
easy
to
find
and
something
to
look
into
on
our
next
trip
to
Vietnam.
The
moment
we
booked,
they
reached
out
to
us
via
WhatsApp
to
ask
questions
about
food
allergies
and
when
we
explained
their
was
a
dairy
allergy,
they
enthusiastically
complied.
They
also
request
you
weight
when
you
book
to
ensure
your
safety
during
the
ride
around
the
city.
After
these
details
were
discussed
in
full
and
our
meeting
place
was
confirmed,
we
were
good
to
go!
It
was
a
private
tour
for
our
party
of
2,
so
we
each
got
a
guide
and
a
bike
(they
drive,
we
ride),
however,
it
was
still
a
group
affair.
Meanwhile,
what
great
guides
they
were!
Lina
and
Jackie!
Starting
with
Jackie:
he
is
young,
but
don't
let
the
young
face
fool
you--the
boy
knows
his
stuff.
He
knows
everything
about
Vietnam
and
the
foods
we
discovered
during
the
tour:
the
ingredients,
what
part
of
Vietnam
the
foods
came
from,
and
for
some
of
them,
even
how
to
make
them!
Great
sense
of
humor
and
he
also
threw
in
some
quirky
facts!
(Ever
heard
of
a
coconut
religion?)
Our
second
guide,
Lina,
was
also
great!
She
was
very
polite
and
warm,
but
not
at
all
stiff
or
awkward.
Because
she
came
from
Ho
Chi
Minh
itself,
she
had
great
cultural
insights
about
the
city
and
it's
people.
She
even
taught
us
a
few
Vietnamese
phrases,
painstakingly
practiced
with
varying
results.
;^>
Both
were
very
open
to
questions
(asking
and
being
asked),
including
things
that
weren't
necessarily
related
to
the
tour.
Both
were
also
excellent
at
driving
and
in
the
madness
of
the
traffic,
not
once
did
we
feel
scared
or
nervous!
As
a
duo,
their
personalities
were
very
different
from
each
other
and
ours,
yet
we
complimented
each
other
impeccably.
With
four
very
different
people,
a
special
kind
of
chemistry
was
born!
While
the
camaraderie
was
an
incrediblely
memorable
part
of
the
tour
that
I
could
continue
to
wax
poetic
about,
I
should
probably
get
to
the
food.
The
portions
were
generous
and
delicious--noodle
dishes,
crispy,
savory
pancakes,
bananas
with
grilled
sticky
rice
and
more,
all
given
with
lovely,
genuinely
nostalgic
anecdotes
--
and
the
best
part
was
that
of
all
of
the
foods
we
tried,
none
of
them
were
ones
we
were
overly
familiar
with,
making
it
feel
like
a
very
authentic
experience.
Overall,
I
am
convinced
that
this
is
the
best
possible
introduction
to
Vietnamese
food
and
culture
we
could've
chosen
and
if
they
said
there
was
a
breakfast
tour,
we
would
have
taken
it
without
a
doubt.
Giving
a
more
than
well
deserved
10
out
of
5
stars,
we
would
zip
through
the
famously
insane
traffic
in
the
pursuit
of
culinary
delights
again!
