Co Khan noodle soup with shrimp paste is very bad. The price is expensive but not as good as the vermicelli with shrimp paste in Hanoi. 1 star rating.

Tastes good and worth the money. Smelly sauce is an acquired taste, but not to be missed. Its the main essence to the meal. Love it or loathe it.

My favorite Bun Dau place!!! It’s a small spot inside a fun streetfood alley, so you might have to share the table with others. The ingredients are fresh and shipped all the way from Hanoi to ensure authenticity. The food can take a while to come out during rush hour. Try their Hanoi drinks too!

Bun Dau Mam Tom is a kind of traditional Vietnam foods.I love this food and I recommend. However, if you don’t like fish souce smell, you may difficult eat together with Mam Tom(special fish source). But if you are enjoying this foods, I’m surely you like this foods. Restaurant is good and clean than other local restaurants.

Very niche and exclusive place in Saigons backalley you will find a jewel. This is the very first time I had this and it is godsend.

Nhìn chung được nhưng không quá đặc biệt. Các quán bún đậu hcm hầu như menu ko có gì khác nhau. Nhớ bún đậu Hà Nội 😢 Rice vermicelli with shrimp paste. Ok but not too impressive. The best thing here is the boiled pork, not too dry and had right amount of fat at least for me. The tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The organ was soft if not too soft and not chewy, didn’t taste fresh. All in all really basic, and nothing too special if no different from any other shop with the same menu in hcm. Relatively clean space and fast service. Ok for first timer but guess not satisfying for someone came from Hanoi like me. Cause really, this dish is Hanoi’s specialty so you should try this in Hanoi if you have the chance. Trying to find a good shop for this dish cause I really miss this Hanoi food but guess can’t be helped, this is hcm after all.

Super authentic Hanoi style restaurant with fun staff and lots of locals. Most have a strong stomach for the shrimp paste. Hint: squeeze some lime in it and add sugar and plenty of chili for best results :) Also try the spring rolls!

Typical northern dishes, with specialties of shrimp paste served with fried tofu, steamed pork and rice vermicille; the quality and services is mid level, while the place is a bit noisy and disturbing with live streaming activities carried out by the famous host [Trang Khan].

Polite staff Good food. If you're with a group of 3 and want to eat bun dau mam tom and side dishes, you will only need to order a portion of bun dau for 2 people
