Like Hostel is well located with a 10 min walk from Backpackers road and 15-20 minutes from the War Remnants museum, Notre Dam and Post Office. It is rather small and cramped and not very clean and there was no breakfast offered. The staff also did not give us the correct keys for the lockers at first, the shower did not get hot at first, the lockers were slightly broken and the top bunk was very high up and so it required a bit of a jump down! The laundry service was also slow and they ‘forgot’ about my laundry and then did not return it folded but all crumpled in a plastic bag. Spend a bit more money and get a hotel!

Beyond amazing and friendly staff. The accomodation is nice and roomy with plenty of storage. The location is central and close to many things! The hostel have social activities happening all throughout the week too. The staff here were so helpful during my stay here and so friendly. Will come straight here when I’m back in Ho Chi Min without a doubt. Breakfast is included as well and to mention delicious!

AVOID THIS HOSTEL AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! First of all the owner of the hostel was extremely rude and unprofessional towards us. She spoke to us in a very condescending tone and sounded racist too cause we were indians! The vibe in the hostel was pretty dead and the rooms were unclean too! There are other better hostels in ho chi minh, go for those, but definitely not this! Ho Chi Minh for me, now holds a bad memory forever cause of her! I wouldn’t EVER WANT TO GO BACK TO THAT CITY CAUSE THE WAY SHE TREATED WAS HONESTLY VERY HUMILIATING! I hope she is happy keeping our deposit and treating us the way she did!

I booked for 2 nights but ended up staying on for 4 nights. The hostel is located in district 1 and has all the major attractions in SGN at walking distance. It is a great place for solo backpackers who are looking forward to meeting more travelers. The hostel has free beer every evening which is great for ice breakers. They book day tours to Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong delta as well. I shopped around and found out that they have give the best price to the guests. The staff is cordial and well equipped to handle all questions. If you are looking for a good social hostel, then this is the best place to be.

I absolutely LOVED it here!!! The atmosphere is fun and staff are SUPER friendly. They had group tours daily, which were super fun and I made great friends to explore the area with!! The breakfast is also a gigantic feast of noodles, rice, fruit, vegetables, and more!! The girl that makes it has a strong passion for cooking, and you HAVE to try the coconut coffee she makes!! And you get to eat it on the rooftop with a great view both at night and during the day!! I would not stay anywhere else in Ho Chi Minh!!!

The hostel is the perfect place for backpackers. There is breakfast every day and activities organized by the hostel. Most of the sights are within walking distance. The hostel operators are the best, they help wherever they can and make sure everything runs smoothly! the rooms and beds are super comfortable.

TOP service of the staff and amazing local breakfast in the morning from Huyen on the rooftop. They help you with everything and organizing free walking tours and pub crawls. The rooms and the bathrooms are ok, not very modern but for some days its fine. There are 5 floors, so be aware that you will have a small workout to go to the rooftop :)

Spacious beds with big lockers, and nice how the lower beds has the lockers inside the bed. Lovely, friendly & chatty staff that also hosts social events. Reception always open and available which made me feel very safe as a solo traveller! A shame that the rooms were not cleaner

This Hostel was my first stop in Vietnam & I can’t recommend it enough. The stuff is so helpful and sweet and the breakfast is very tasty. I also joined the walking tour and meet a lot of people I spent the next days with. The dorms are small and you have a bathroom in there. I would come back any time!

Rooms are ok, the bathroom not extremely nice but the staff is extremely kind. The highlight of the stay is the extremely tasty authentic Vietnamese breakfast at the rooftop terrace made by an extremely kind Vietnamese woman! Also very good Coconut coffee! You should definitely try the breakfast here!

Located within walking distance of all major sightseeing attractions The Kind Hostel and Cafe is an adorable resting spot. Belonging lockers are provided free of charge along with 1 free complementary beer per night. I especially appreciated the pull curtains on each dorm bed. It felt nice to have that little bit of privacy in my 8 bed dormitory. The rooftop patio has decent views of the city. Most of all the staff members are kind, friendly, and funny.

We just loved our stay at Like hostel . Host noona felt like family and staff liv is just amazing human . Dorms are very well maintained and location is just perfect .

Staff was great. Great attitude from them leads to great attitude from the travelers. The nightly free beer was effective at getting everyone together and meeting each other. Rooftop patio is excellent. Ended up staying in Saigon for several extra days partly due to how much I was enjoying it here. Only improvement could be the beds, they’re on the harder side but that’s what you get/should expect at this price point. All in all would definitely stay again!

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was so friendly. The dog was quite a good host too. I even had the chance to take a walking tour of china town (3 temples and chinese market) with V a really energitic and devoted employee. I strongly recommand. The beds in dormitory are good if not great comparated to other hostel.

I’m not sure why this place has so little reviews! Genuine team of hostel workers and a cute dog greets you at the door. Upstairs has free beers and the foyer area is bustling with great like minded people. Definitely would go back and I actually have already booked for my next visit

This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at, of quite a few. It’s a neat building, the rooms are A/C’d, and the location is good, but above all, the staff are amazing and have dedicated a lot of time and attention to creating a super friendly environment, with weekly events and impromptu hang out sessions. There are two communal spaces (one, a lovely rooftop patio) to hang out. The staff are always around to help you out with recommendations (they always sent me to tasty local restaurants) and just to get to know you and to share about their lives, so I felt like I was leaving friends when I checked out. It’s reasonable walking distance from all of Ho Chi Minh City’s main attractions, but tucked in an alleyway such that there is no traffic noise in the room. You do have to walk up a lot of stairs to access the rooms. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in HCMC then this is the place!! I will absolutely be going back on my next visit. Awesome hostel for the real backpacker. Nona, the hostel manager, is an awesome person, very helpful and very friendly. The hostel has a great atmosphere for the traveller. It is easy to meet many other guests in the common area. There is also a pet dog you can play with all day.

Really lovely chill hostel. Secure place to lock luggage in the room and comfortable and clean facilities. All the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They foster a very nice relaxed and cheerful vibe. Would highly recommend staying here, I'll certainly be back next time I'm in Saigon.

Super nice hostel! The staff is so friendly and welcoming and all have great sense of humor ;). The rooftop terrace is the perfect place for fun evenings with the other guests. Also willow (the dog) is super cute. If I will be in HMC again I will definitely come back!!

Great Hostel to stay at, would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Ho Chi Min, happy hour at 7 for free beer really gets everyone socialising up on the rooftop or lower level and you meet many new people each night. They’re also incredibly helpful with organising tours, busses and SIM cards, very nice staff.

Friendly, informative, and welcoming staff! Rooms were clean, with a big storage space for back packs. Nice social area downstairs and on the rooftop. Had a lovely time here. Will certainly go back when I can!

Read this! I did stay at many hostels, but here you can really enjoy every moment. Located just 5 min to bui ven walking street but quiet at night, big rooftop common area, perfect to meet people or work. You can buy beer and drinks anytime. Staff is superb, will help you book whatever you need and plan your trip to get most of it. Hungry? You'll get best recommendations in the area or 1 call and you have best banh mi deliverd. Hope one day there will be network of The like hostels around the world :)

Awesome owner, cutest doggy and good location. What else to say! This hostel has survived through the tough ordeal of COVID period. They ar located in Ho Chi Minh city but in a quiet neighborhood though walking distance to the walking street. Free beer from 7 to 8pm, owner Nona is so friendly and such a nice person to talk to! Her dog willow is super cuteeee toooooo. Really enjoyed my stay there. I'll recommend everyone to stay there!

Amazing. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We felt safe and welcomed. They also had amazing recommendations on places to eat, attractions to visit etc. You instantly feel at home here due to the kind friendly nature of the staff. Rooms are very good quality with comfortable beds and en suite bathrooms with separate toilet and shower area so 2 people can use them at once. Rooftop had very nice chill vibe. Would 100% recommend 10/10.

I know it’s not an achievement but the like hostel and cafe was my first international hostel and the experience was very lovely. It is just a walking distance from the walking street which is the main attraction of ho chi minh. The stuff were very lovely and made my stay memorable. The hostel offers some good tours in combination of other hostels which you can try. And final point make sure to ask for a free beer from 6PM-7PM

Nice hostel, easy to socialize and great location. There’s a rooftop with a nice view where people usually socialize. The employees were all very nice, especially Vi at the front desk, she made me a list of her favorite spots to eat in the city ✌🏽

I booked for 2 nights and ended up staying almost a week. The rooftop is perfect for meeting other (solo) travellers. Really nice vibe up there. The staff is amazing. I did a couple of tours organized through the hostel and they helped me getting my bus tickets. Definitely recommended!

Staff went above and beyond in every measure to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Rooms were clean, sturdy beds and lockable storage for your belongings. Location was perfect, to walk to the museum, markets and plenty of great food options available. Also Willow the house dog is about the cutest thing going.

Like Hostel is a great find in Ho Chi Minh! A great price in a central location. The staff are very helpful with many tours organised by them daily. There is a very welcoming vibe to the hostel making it perfect for solo travellers as it is very easy to meet people, especially with the rooftop terrace for evening drinks. There are some areas which could use some improvement, for example the bathroom facilities. Overall I would highly recommend here when staying in the city.

What a brilliant social hostel, perfect for solo travellers or couples! Me and my girlfriend had an amazing time here while in Ho Chi Minh. Set in a fantastic location in the city, it has a very nice vibe but doesn’t feel too hectic or too much like a party hostel although the rooftop area and a free beer happy hour definitely allows for nice times having drinks and meeting new people. The staff and owner are fantastic! All of them are very helpful and super welcoming making it feel like one big family. If we are back in Ho Chi Minh we will DEFINITELY BE BACK

Honestly the best hostel experience, Nona was most incredibly welcoming and helpful. Comfortable beds and a great location. Not only this, but when I accidentally left my phone in Vietnam she shipped it back to me. Definitely stay here if you’re in Ho Chi Minh!
