Beautiful historical building hosting an amazing collection of Dutch paintings. The girl with pearl hearing is obviously famous. There is also a stunning Delft view by Vermeer. There are beautiful Rembrandt paintings and other Dutch masterpieces. The building is beautiful with wooden decor; a sign reminds that the wood comes from Suriname and was carried by slaves. The museum is well organised and has a good size. The restaurant is nice and prices ok.

This is the museum with the iconic photo of Girl with the Pearl. This museum contains big collection of famous art work by Rembrandt and Johannes Vermeer and many more. It is well equipped and well lit building with facilities of lockers, washrooms, elevators, wheel chair entrance and big cafe. The sovineer shop is lovely and i got my memory of beautiful pearl key chain. The building of Maurithuis itself is an architectural piece of Dutch and Brazilian design. Highly recommended for artists, art lovers and people who love painting.

An absolute wonder of a museum. Located in the Mauritshuis itself, the museum features just so much amazing art. There were such famous pieces that I absolutely love, and it was such a surprise to see them in person. So many great works of Rembrandt, Rubens and others. And of course, The Girl with the Pearl Earring. Absolutely worth your time in the beautiful Hague.

Nice collection of art from the Dutch/Flemish Golden Age. Housed in the former residence of Johan Maurits , Governor general of the then Dutch colony of Brazil. Attention is also drawn to this colonial past and cost of human slavery. The audio guide is a nice way to know more about the paintings. The mobile app wasn't available for the latest Android versions apparently so I had to use the physical device which the staff was kind enough to provide. At the time of visit there was an exhibition titled the "The lost museum" which showcased a lot of old artifacts from Asia/Africa in part of the museum which used to be open long time ago but now closed.

Beautiful mansion turned art museum, the home of several important Dutch paintings including The Girl with the Pearl Earring. The museum is small enough that it is manageable and the art is displayed in a gorgeous setting. The audio tour didn’t work so I just read about each piece.

A beautiful museum - an absolute must visit when in The Hague. Obviously known for one picture of Vermeer that it houses but please! It has so much more in it! The collection is outstanding. The museum is quite small and if you allow two hours you will be able to study each and every work in detail which is great.

I came to here just to visit the museum.I had already bought tickets, but the staff at the entrance refused to let us in because of the luggage. When I suggested we take turns going in, he still refused, saying standing in a public area with luggage would look strange. I even said I’d wait at a café, but he rolled his eyes at me. He was extremely rude and unreasonable, and it even felt like there was some racial discrimination involved.

The most important thing to do in the Hague is to visit this "petite" but beautiful museum. The interior of the building is already quite impressive but the unique and neatly curated collection of great works of art will definitely dazzle you. The staff of the museum and shop were very kind and helpful.

Its definitely worth a visit when in Den Haag. Beautiful interior and great art pieces. Some really stunning some quite underwhelming. For me it wasnt ideal to have two paintings hanging above each other also the lighting reflection was blinding sometimes. Great building though and friendly staff. Just a tip: you wont get a birthday discount - we tried :D

Mauritshuis is a beautiful, small museum in The Hague, perfect if you love art but don’t want to spend hours in a huge gallery. It’s home to Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and other famous Dutch paintings, including works by Rembrandt and Frans Hals. The museum is inside a historic mansion, which makes the experience feel intimate and special. The rooms are elegant, the lighting is perfect, and everything is easy to navigate. You can see the entire collection in about one to two hours, which makes it a great stop if you’re exploring the city. If you appreciate classic art and want a relaxed, inspiring visit, Mauritshuis is absolutely worth it!

I didn't expect much, and I ended up really liking the art gallery. Be sure to take the audio guide, it makes the visit very interesting. Without it I would not recommend going. (I don't give it five stars because the Android app is completely broken, and so you need to pay for the audio guide. They advise everywhere that there is a free app but it doesn't work!)

If you’re in The Hague, a visit to this museum is a must! Home to an impressive collection of masterpieces by renowned artists. It’s conveniently located near both train and tram stations for easy access. Highlights, for me were the iconic Girl with a Pearl Earring, the Bull, and stunning works by Jan Steen and Rembrandt. Don’t forget to stop by the museum’s shop, where you’ll find a curated selection of beautiful items to take home.!
