Stopped here for lunch when being en route for work. I've heard previously that this place is really good! And yes, true to what I've heard, the food lived up to my expectations! On the Changanacherry Bypass road, Kottayam, We ordered - Fish curry meals, Beef Biryani, Beef ullarthau and a pineapple juice is what we we had. There are some specialties that we didn't try, maybe next time. The fish curry meals was delicious! Fish cooked properly, served with fresh cooked sides and gravies! Beef Biriyani was yum and both the beef in the biryani and the ullarthau were cooked to tender perfection! Loved it! Live kitchen that looks clean and maintained gives you the trust that they really do take things seriously! Negatives :- Service was a bit slow, we had to keep asking few waiters multiple times to get what we wanted. The pineapple juice was frothy and didn't have much juice in it and I had specifically asked for lots of ice in it, they didn't seem to take care of that...that was disappointing. Loads of parking and friendly waiters though the service was a bit slow. Will definitely visit again to try their specialties!!

One of the good ambience restaurant around. The arrangements and atmosphere felt cool and fresh. They've started electric charging station too and that's very good and innovative idea. Paal kappa is a great try. Chinese dishes were just okay and not that great. Rices were good. Have an ample parking space. Good and friendly staffs. Recommended for friends and family dine outs.

I tried there schezwan mixed noodles and chicken biriyani. The biriyani was super tasty and have enough quantity. Schezwan noodles was just okey, I think its maybe because of the mixture involved in that.

A little culinary 'gem' in Changnaserry. The Kerala cuisine on offer is very good and has many of the popular choices one would look for. This is a must visit for those living in an around the area and those traveling through inter district.

Paal kappa is a must try. Its a piece of heaven 😇 so delicious. Very much satisfied with the experience. The ambience is also good. A wonderful place for family or friends. Must visit spot.

This was one of the most hyped restaurant in chenganassery people used to suggest me . But my goodness , this place is so good that the entire ambiance, food quantity and quality is up to par . Oh! What an experience! Took me back to what could have been my grandfather's time! This is possibly my favourite restaurant in the whole of India! The ambience is spot-on! The service is ridiculously amazing! And the food is outstanding! My three most important parameters for judging a restaurant and this place has probably broken the metre in every single aspect! My favourite being the delicious banana fry and beef that they serve! I love the vibe! I love the idea! I love their food! It's a must visit for anybody who lives in and around Changanacherry or possibly passers by ! Excellent food. Excellent customer satisfaction. They really know customer is their king.

This restaurant is located 1.5-2km from Changanaserry KSRTC bus station. Being a lone resider in the given location, one can reach the restaurant by direct buses plying through the location, or via ample number of autos. The front courtyard is galore for parking (quite a plenty!) The restaurant is handheld by its juice bar & coffee shop. Coming to the interior, the bill desk & a collection of antiques harbour the entrance side view. The dining space, analogous to the front courtyard, is aplenty in space. There are over 15 dining tables on a rough count. The interior is well-lit with rich LEDs spreading a shade of the same incandescent lights. The lighting is quite splendid. Another peculiarity is the space allotted for each dinings. There are different sets of 6-seater dinings & 4-seater dinings; corresponding to the dining suitable for the incoming customer numbers. The scullery is quite visible from the dining space & is not masked behind the doors, unlike other restaurants. All different forms of naadan dishes are available aplenty here; ranging from the traditional, sensational Beef roast to myriad of sea food (prawns/fish/mussel), all at not-so-high cost. Flavour & taste are quite good, with epicentre on spice & aroma. All accompaniments including Kerala style Porotta, Wheat Porotta, Pathiri/ types of Naan (Garlic/Plain/Butter), Pathiri and more. Quantity is suitable for 2 for any types of curry items. Size of the porotta/Chappathi is ideally large, comparable with its price. No Arabian items are noticed here, quite missing the sensational taste of notable Arabian cuisines like Shawai/Al-Faham. GST rate is just ₹12 (CGST+SGST), which is fairly below par & reasonable for a good-quality, fully air-conditioned restaurant like Kanthari. Good ambience is guaranteed at Kanthari restaurant.

One of the best and favourite restaurant... We often hit when we go through Changanassery-Kottayam bypass... Being Covid time also they are providing the best quality food.Options of food is minimal...No dining was available coz of covid protocols. But it doesn't matter coz they have maintained the service and quality of food in satisfying manner which made me and my family happy.

Good larage family restaurant, lot of parking space and tasty food. Food (curry) quantity is less, we were there on a Sunday and hence crowded. Staff are not enough to attend all the guests in time and they didn't advised us the required quantity of food for our team, hence the first ordered food was finished immediately and we were forced to order again. This created a break and not advisable.

It is one of the best restaurants in Changancherry. The waiting time is a little bit high at peak hours. The customer service and table service is really good. Good and tasty food , freshly prepared and hot. I used to go to Kanthari with my family and we all really love the ambience of the restaurant. Food quality is very nice .

Nice restaurant.. pretty good ambience with ample parking facilities.Place is neat , spacious and staff well behaved.. must visit if you need some break from normal daily lifestyle food.. prices are average.. taste is good too . We went to the restaurant at 7.30 and by that time most of the menu items were done. And we got some garlic chicken and kerala parata. The garlic chicken was so nice... It had wonderful flavours. But the chilli chicken was a little bit disappointing. The beef roast was also good.

Some of the dishes are delicious. The quality of food has been consistent since we visited last time around a year back. This means the chef is good. There are a few issues though 1) They have just one menu card. This means half the items were unavailable when we went for dinner ( they are just available for lunch ) 2) Most popular items run out pretty quick. We visited there several times as early as 7:30 pm for dinner, but things like ‘pal-kappa’ was already run out. 3) Don't order Chinese ( like egg fried rice ) - they are substandard. So stick to Kerala type 4) The customer service needs improvement. Once you pay the bills, no one even smiles at you. Although I have placed a tip on the table, we have not been delighted with the service. 5)No one explained to you what from the menu was available. So it's a bit of a disaster when the table servers visit you to the order as many items you choose aren't available This restaurant has good potential - but the service delivery needs a lot of improvements.

A good outlet serving authentic Kerala meals especially non-veg in a good ambience, which is understated whilst being functional. We reached at around 1250 on a Sunday afternoon and we'd to wait for around 30 minutes for a table. It however eased out thereafter and there was no waiting by 1400. Pl note that there's seating for over 60 guests at a time. We ordered fish curry meals (135/-). Then, we ordered Varaal (Murrel) polichathu (450/-) and karimeen fish molly (300/-). The meals had White Tuna (Kera) curry included. The curry was made in coconut gravy and was nice. In fact, the meals are enough without any extras ordered and are filling. The veg curries with the meals were limited in number but good. The fish molly was good, although a tad sweet and without the tanginess which usually accompanies it. The Varaal polichathu was sumptuous although the masala seemed a little too much. The ambience was good. The toilets were clean. There's ample parking. The activities in the kitchen can be viewed from the seating area. This suggests that they're possibly amenable to the guests viewing their activities and therefore would strive to maintain basic standards of hygiene etc. A good joint for a good Kerala meal.

I went to Kanthari restaurant changacherry with my family. The ambience of the restaurant is really brilliant. The restaurant is huge and I would give 5 star for cleanliness. The staff behaviours was really good all of them were well mannered. And food was tasty and great in amout. Brilliant hotel to be with family and friends.

This is a nice restaurant. We reached there by 4pm, so couldn't able to try meals. Instead, we had kappa vevichath and chicken roast. One kappa vevichath may be enough for two. This was rightly pointed out by the waiter and that was really appreciable from their end, as these things are quite missing usually. Totally satisfied with food's quality and quantity.

We visited the restaurant at 2.00 pm for lunch. Food was good as compared to the other restaurants in Changanassery town. But the 60% item in the menu card was not available at 2.00 pm. Service was good but needed more improvement in that department. The atmosphere and ambiance was very excellent. And sufficient car parking space was available. Overall ratings was 8/10.

They maintain limited options in terms of dishes.The flavor is not consistent as we found one dish good but the other one below average.The options in terms of beverages is surprisingly limited.The dishes are fairly expensive but quantity was good. The location is prime and all payment options including cards are accepted.

Today we had dinner from kanthari Restaurant in changanacherry. We have ordered fried rice and butter chicken. The dishes are very tasty. They have a unique taste. The ambience is very nice and there is parking facility too. It will not disappoint you.

I can personally vouch for their Chicken Biriyani and the Beef Porotta Pollichathu while my parents refuse to eat fish curry meals at any other restaurant in Chry. Dish Updates • Hot & Sour Soup is really good, too. Perfect consistency and flavor. (9/10) • Beef Biriyani had really tough 6 the flavor was lacking (3/10) • Beef Kothuporotta: Very little meat and the porotta itself was really dry. The poor set made dish I've tasted here. (1/10) Speed of Service could be improved overall, but it's still not too bad.

They have recently started snacks counter also. ————- Have to revise the ratings from 5-3, as they do not respond to calls and WhatsApp on time and sone of the important, assured dishes were not available to deliver. 🥲

Very poor customer care they don't speak politely or patiently the food doesn't have any salt and use poor oil quality too.there are many other hotels you can choose who can give satisfaction for what you paid and they do give all respects. Since business is getting bit hiked they don't give care to the customers at all please please please feel free to visit other restaurants..... Had many incidents with them and im reporting this after lot incidents and with a burdened heart

Food was good and also the ambience. But the service was very bad . We were served food by a bald guy with specs. He is very arrogant and while we called he didn’t even respond. Please do not maintain these types of people as they will prompt reduce the name of restaurant.
