My Turkish friends' mostly best visiting place. I feel the history while I am passing by this monumental corner. What a journey was that for Father of Turks. Ataturk was born and raised in here so We as greeks has to be proud of this. Beautiful Building, Pretty Soul in this area.

Ataturk (father of the modern Turkish nation) was born in this house. Even though there was political conflicts between nations, he was nominated to Nobel peace price by the Greek prime minister. According to Ataturk, peace is not important only in homeland, but also in the whole world. He was very impressive and charismatic among the world leaders. By the UNESCO, 1981 was announced as Ataturk year. In this house you can find information about his life and family.

This house, where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, was born and raised and lived for a short period in his youth, was gifted to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk by the Municipality of Thessaloniki in 1937. The house, which was opened as an Ataturk museum in 1953, reached its current state after the last restoration in 2010-2013. Even though it has many shortcomings in terms of museum management, I think it has an atmosphere that impresses its visitors and makes them think. Informative texts about Ataturk were prepared very well. Therefore, I recommend that you take the time to visit the museum and read the information about Atatürk's life and work. If you are going to meet him for the first time, I am sure you will be surprised to learn that such a forward-thinking and humane leader lived in the 20th century.

The house is the birthplace of the founder of modern Turkey. It's very close to the centre. It took only 10 min for me. Entrance for free. It's very calm place, where you can discover many facts about Ataturk.

The iron gate at the entry can be pushed back, if not, just ring the bell. It's free for everyone. For Turks there isn't much new inside but for foreigners it's definitely worth a visit. What surprised me most were the transcripts and grades of him throughout his study life. He was truly a unique person in the history.

It is a precious, important and very impressive place for us as a Turk. We got so emotional. It was more meaningful for us because we knew our history, but better information can be provided for foreigners, for example, a brochure with short brief information can be given at the entrance. The library section at the bottom was a bit empty, Atatürk was a leader who read a lot. It would be better to organize the library part in a much better way.

Standing in the room where he was born.. No need to words. Feelings topped! We are so lucky that we live under the shadow of his imaginary revolutions; even they were realized just after the WW II in the middle of Salvation War of Turkey.

Good place to learn about Turkish history in Greece. It’s free entrance just open the metal door at the entrance. You have to sign a paper with your name and country. There is a garden outside and inside is fresh! 3 floors to visit. It’s worth it! Not crowded

Words fall short to describe this place. 🎩 Very well preserved. 🏡 Warm lovely ambiance with the pomegranate tree outside in the garden. 🌳 Next to the Türkiye consulate. 🇹🇷 The must visit place for every Turkish citizen in Thessaloniki and Greece in general. ❤️

It is a must-visit place for every Turkish person, it touched me to see the building Atatürk was born in and see all the photos, videos. There are some personal items of Atatürk and some stories (if you are Turkish, you can recall most of them thanks to the primary school lessons) the explanations are in Greek, English and Turkish. There is no entrance fee, you can visit it for free.

The birth place of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, now located within the grounds of the Turkish consulate, houses a small exhibition about the life of Atatürk. Those familiar with Atatürk's will probably not learn a lot of new things and there's just a lot of texts to read (greek, turkish, english). This place might be interesting for people who don't know much about Atatürk and want to learn more. There are three floors with three small rooms each, should take one hour max to see all. Entry is free.

If you have the chance to visit only one museum in Thessaloniki, this should be it. The place is now museum, but it was where Atatürk was born. It takes you through the genius of 20th century was educated and what influenced his thoughts. Anyone interested in world history should visit here. There are Greek, Turkish and English explanations to everything. You can cover the entire museum in 45 mins. And it is free.

You can find a very comfortable location, but parking is a bit of a problem. definitely one of the must-see places. Thanks to those who contributed to turning it into a museum. At the entrance, they created a list of visitors to write their names. I liked it very much, we made a note on the history. I guess it's a must for Turks, but myself as a history nerd, and I already had some knowledge of Ataturk, it was pretty boring.. The birthplace of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is now a museum and part of the Turkish consulate in Thessaloniki. The house is well-preserved and charming to visit. Very interesting, surprisingly large house, super friendly staff. We’re UK /Irish citizens but no entry charge. All displays were in 3 languages, one of which was English. My husband already had a good knowledge of this period of history and I had none, but we both learned a lot. There wasn’t much of the period furniture as promised on the website , possibly because of Covid, but there were pictures of the rooms as they were once furnished. Thank you
