To Elliniko is a tourist restaurant that serves local dishes. It has everything from cheeses, salads and dips to meat, fish and grilled vegetables. Food is adapted to appear more friendly to foreigners. The taste is good to very good, with the exception of eggplant dip which is excellent. Experience as a whole is comfortable but there is one thing I do not like. We didn't order bread and water but we got them anyway. Little did we know that a few pieces of bread were 2.80€ and water was 1.90€. Transparency is a must, so it appears that the one star on Google maps costs 4.70€.

We came here based on the good reviews, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The service is extremely poor and chaotic. We didn't receive any proper recommendations, and the waiter sounded annoyed. The seafood pasta had no taste at all. No spices, no flavor, nothing. We left over 3/4 of the pasta uneaten. In the end, we were even blamed for not mentioning it earlier, otherwise they would have made it again for us. But not a single waiter came by to ask if everything was okay, and it was always difficult to call a waiter over. We didn't receive any compensation or the waiters didn't come to us either, even though they knew we were dissatisfied. The appetizers were nothing special. Except for the feta with honey, which was good. The ambiance and music were good, which is why I give 2 stars.

Overall a nice place for Greek food! Service is ok, nothing to complain about but wasn't especially good either. The grilled sardines and zucchini were great, spicy cheese, and the steak. The Greek salad - not a fan of that style, so can't recommend it but it wasn't bad. I'm sure there are more interesting salads. The pork meat was super dry but I was told that's how you make it... The souvlaki was a bit better but also a bit dry for me. The steak however was more juicy 🤤 Overall a very nice place, give it a try.

The most delicious I have tried In Thessaloniki. The food is served fast, super delicious and fresh. The restaurant doesn’t accept reservations. I can recommend to go at the opening at 13h, because after you will need to wait for a table. They served us a compliment drink liqueur Mastiha at the end of the lunch.

Great place! We couldn’t make reservations and had to wait for table as the place was packed but it was totally worth it. Fast and friendly service, really good food! If you have a chance stop and try it!

Was lovely and heavy dinner. We did not expect these huge portions, otherwise we could order only half. The meatballs = no words, the tastiest dish from all what we have ordered (imho). ...and shots of Mastixa at the end = sweet finish!

Good Food that is slightly better than marketplace restaurants Wide choice of small plates and some fresh seafood. Best was the grilled red mullets. Marinated seafood is slightly too salty. Most are dishes are pretty good. Service was fast and efficient

Super nice restaurant! Shrimps and sardines, the best. Fried zucchini and tzatziki super good. They offered some spreads - smoked fish with broccoli and fish egg salad- amazing. The grilled calamari had no taste.

The food is nice and the location is central. However, the service is incredibly SLOW - we waited 40 minutes for a salad… which is kind of unacceptable for such restaurant. We waited so long for every single order that we asked for the check and left before ordering a main dish - it was just mega slow. The German family next to us were also super angry because the slow service and went to speak to the staff multiple times and even bringing their own drinks from the bar 😂

WOW friends recommended this place to us and we had dinner here. They weren't wrong! we tried probably 10 items from the menu and all of them were delicious. The atmosphere and service are also first class. Be sure to try the smoked mackerel, you won't be disappointed!

Tapas style Greek restaurant. Everything we tried was delicious. We can recommend the fried feta cheese with honey. In the end, they even offered us free dessert.

No words to describe divinely yummy food! And I loved the Greek music they put on! Absolutely awesome! I have ordered grilled calamari, eggplant meze and zucchini fries. The portions are hearty and I was absolutely full! In the end they treated me with the dessert for free. The bill comes with the service charge and the taxes. The service was amazing too! All in all, one of the best spots in Thessaloniki to eat and enjoy the atmosphere.

Tasty Greek restaurant. The interior reminds me of a French wine bar or Sydney brunch cafe. There are tables outside with Greek newspaper table covers. The food is nice. The waiters are friendly and a bit hipster. Very good prices. You also get a nice breeze coming up the street from the water to cool you after a hot day. A very nice place for dinner.

Highly recommended traditional Greek restaurant in the White Tower area of Thessaloniki city. Food is delicious! Tasty recipes with Greek flavors inside. Staff is multilingual and very helpful with the order. Many parking lots in the area. The location is great but a little bit crowded.

Nice wee restaurant not far from the white tower. We had some lovely food, I had the prawn spaghetti - this was €14. The staff were the only let down, they brought our food and drink to the table quickly but they seemed a wee bit moody. Both myself and my partner got the impression that they were talking about us in Greek, they were looking at our table whilst chatting and laughing. We may have been mistaken but it didnt feel very welcoming. Apart from that this place is nice for a bite to eat.

Discovered this place by coincidence and I loved it a lot. The food is probably the best I tried in Thessaloniki and the prices are very reasonable. Their staff are so kind and lovely, especially Kostas who helped us with some amazing food recommendations.

I said let's try this restaurant because they have almost all kinds of traditional Greek food. The food is super good, the portions are quite large and the prices are ok for the quality of the food. The fish was very fresh, the orange salad insane. I received from the restaurant 2 appetizer salads and fresh bread and at the end 2 glasses of liqueur ... something after the meal, with a superb taste. If I stayed a few more days, I wouldn't fit in the driver's seat anymore 🤣🤣

The restaurant is very good! The vibe is very fun and pretty, The food was delicious and the staff is very friendly. The only downside was the wait, and I only mention it because it was clear that some tables were vacant (just not organized for new people) so we waited a lot for that and it felt that with a few more staff members we wouldn't have had to wait at all. But other than that it was an excellent experience!

The mezes at this restaurant are phenomenal. Each one is prepared with great care, and their flavors are as impressive as their presentation. I particularly recommend trying the patato salad, byzantine, breads, uzo, chees bouyourdi. The service quality and atmosphere are also delightful. I definitely recommend it to those who love mezes!

Absolutely great place in the heart of Thessaloniki. Lovely Greek cuisine. Nice and prompt staff. A bit pricey but it’s acceptable for the venue and location.

The seafood mix that I ordered was absolutely delicious and the portion was big. The restaurant was busy and it took a while to get the attention of the service staff generally. Definitely touristy. But other than that, all was good.

I found this place because I was searching for a Thessaloniki delicacy I saw on a cooking show, stuffed onions. Well I got that and a Tour of Greece. From a complimentary Kopanisti to start, and shots of Mastixa to finish. I'll just post the pics. The onions didn't disappoint. The meatballs almost brought me to tears. Go. Eat. Enjoy.

This is one of my favourite restaurants I've ever visited. The service was very good, but the food was mind blowing. I thought that I've tasted it all (more or less) but The Greek restaurant in Thessaloniki made me reconsider all my previous reviews. With 2 people you probably won't have a problem getting a table there, but as soon as you have any more people i suggest booking up ahead. I highly recommend the greek cheeses (there's plenty to choose from cold, pan fried or grilled) and local wine, they work wonders together.

The restaurant was a little crowded but maybe that is a good sign! I enjoyed a simple Greek salad and other dishes. Prices were a little bit more than some places in Greece but not by too much. They had a cool paper that you could read about their history and ingredients local to the area. Overall a great meze experience.

We loved this place where you can have traditional Greek appetizers and meals in a high ceiling and wonderfully decorated environment. The Greek, which we discovered on a rainy day, became one of the places that we remember with its large portions, delicious food, and fresh bagels.

Excellent local food, friendly staff, fast service, and a great atmosphere! I would highly recommend The Greek when you get tired of street food and would like to try something more traditional. The prices are completely reasonable for the type of food they serve, and the food is definitely worth it. Be aware that the place gets packed, and the line for a table can get long.

Amazing experience! Gorgeous design, amazing people and fabulous food! We had Thessaloniki's salad, pan fried calamari, smoked stake and mixed meat pan. With warm bread at the beginning and delicious ice cream at the end, our dinner was excellent. The portions are large, but you can take home the leftovers if you want. Oh, and the food came really fast (and fresh, warm, tasty) even though the place was full (we actually had to wait for 15 min to get a table). I highly recommend this place for an authentic flavoured Greek dinner.

Great place that we discovered last year in July and we visited again this year in May. It’s a touristic one in the center of Thessaloniki but food is great at reasonable price and staff is very kind and polite. Everything we tried there was great!

It’s a really nice place to eat a lot of greek small dishes (mazes). Everything was nice and the value for money is superb. We took three meat dishes, one salad, two starters and 1,5 liter of their own home made wine, and we paid above 60 euro. Totally recommend it

Very nice service. Got free appetizer and a free dessert. We ordered fried squids and grilled fish with some dips. Everything was fresh and tasted wonderful. Small tip: Don't come too late in the evening or the variety of fresh fishes goes out. Everything served is from daily catch ;)
