An amazing experience. The location and ambience is perfectly cozy yet with ample space and a view of the old castle wall , the staff were attentive and swift and so friendly and of course the food was incredibly delicious and well priced for the portions offered. Although it used to be one of our favorite places the last time we visited the place we were a little bit disappointed. The meat was not of the quality expected and the prices were high enough. Staff was kind, lovely view when sitting outdoor. Tips: You should try mushrooms on the grill and baked potatoes.

We really loved this place, if you are looking for a spot to have a lovely dinner in old Thessaloniki then go here. Amazing food, tasty and lovely presented, for a cheap price. The staff was super kind and the ambient of the place was chill and beautiful surrounded by plants and the antique walls of the town.

The atmosphere and view are wonderful. It feels so lively. The food was wonderful and tasted superb. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The meatballs especially, along with the pita bread, are an absolute must. The salad was so refreshing. The quality was excellent.

Nice and cozy place in the heart of Ano Poli.The food was average and the dishes served almost cold. Probably because we had late lunch? Nobody knows.....i am sure you can find better authentic places.

This is an absolute hidden gem behind the ancient walls. We were surprised by the food quality. Fast and friendly service, great prices. We had to wait for the kitchen to open, but it was definitely worth it.

Good food, nice staff, cold beer. The perfect combination! And free sweets from restaurant (panacota, yumm). We had a very tasty pork steak on the first day but, for me, the star was the egg plant whith onion, chease. It was almost perfect. Would I came again? For sure.

Locals eat here. The atmosphere is amazing, the food even better. You get a free pannacotta afterwards. The waitress is very kind. Greek music playing in the background. For 30€ two of us have eaten a lot and got a bit tipsy :)

It was a great experience for us! We were just walking around and we were attracted by the vibe of the place. When we entered the place and talked with a waiter we definitely decided that we want to stay because we felt the openess and the warmth. And then there is more: the recommendations for the food were super good and the food absolutely delicious!

Amazing food at very reasonable prices, friendly and fast service. I've been to this tavern more than 5 times and it never disappoints me. It is always my first choice while I'm at Ano Poli, highly recommended 🙂

The Brusco Meze Bar is such nice place to eat. Service was perfect and the food was fresh and home-made. There is a lot of vegetarian possibilities : we recommand particularily the grilled eggplant ! The decoration was cozy. We‘ll definitely come back !

Wondeful place with very good food!

This is a great place! The guys who run it were very nice. It is a great place to stop if you are exploring the Chain Tower or the Acropolis Area.

Do: Get the tzatziki! Drink the wine! Make friends with the lovely owner and servers! Don't: Try to walk home after the above ;) It's a lovely little place overlooking the old wall. Great food, very reasonable pricing, very minimal corkage (2 euro). We had the tzatziki, grilled potatoes, pork bites, spicy sausages and talagani cheese which were all delicious. Drinks are very affordably priced too (7 euro for a half litre of wine). Very friendly staff, servers spoke great English and the owner came out to chat to all the tables (I heard him go in Greek, English and even Spanish which is pretty impressive!). We got dessert on the house (mini brownies tonight) and when we tried to tip, we got another round of drinks on the house. We went on Friday night and while busy, we got a table right away and hardly waited any time for our food. Would recommend, great food and personally didn't think it was a tourist trap at all (like is often the case with eateries so close to sightseeing spots).

Nice atmosphere and music. Polite staff, but not very fast. The outdoors is lovely. Good quality of food, plenty of chooses. Try takagani sti schara,! Delicious. Okay prices.

Everyone was extremely nice and polite! Our waiter recommended some traditional meals, and even gave us dessert on the house! Everything was very tasty! The tables outside are adorable, and are great for when the weather is nice.

we found that restaurant on our way back. You must try there food!!! So delicious! We tried the falafel and the talagani cheese with marmalade...wow . If you in that area you should definitely stop and try the food.
