Friday night dinner. Glad we prebooked. Clearly the place is popular with locals. Not huge room insides so tables were spreading along the sidewalk. Service was fantastic. Trading jokes with the waiter is always a good start of the evening. Good was served quickly and was excellent (Fresh and fried starters, Fried fish etc.). Love music was also perfect accompaniment for the food. Not sure how much you can hear from outside but seated inside was fantastic.

The cooking mamas in the back are amazing cooks and our server was super chill. Spent a good hour or so devouring our roasted aubergines, Greek salad, pork souvlaki, and fried anchovies (split between 2 people). At the end, we were given a sweet dessert to finish the meal! The food wasn't salty which was great so we could add our own, and the anchovies were cooked so well that the bones went down easily. We came in around 16:40 with a few people eating outside. The tables inside were empty so it wasn't crowded at all. It was pretty nice having a large table to ourselves!

Off the tourist track but totally worth it. Here you go if you want to have the true Greek neighbourhood family tavern experience. Tables on the side walk (also inside of course), the passing neighbors stop for a small chat and the music is traditional Greek. The conversation of just two workers at the next table culminates in a very loud discussion between 6 customers and 3 staff where the new bus stop has moved to ("oxi re, malakka!"). This is Greece and you gotta love it. Food is excellent. Traditional tavern dishes at its best. Ask about the days' special. Of course the sweet is on the house. Prices very fair. Service: polite, flexible and corona proof. "Thodoros Taverna" is a mirror showing one of the social pillars of closeknit Greek society: the family tavern.

Beautiful food and great service. This is a long-standing pub in a residential area and one of those nice places to eat. Good wine, happy and friendly service, and our waiter spoke great English. We had the Sardines with some Feta, and it was amazing! The Sardines were cooked perfectly!

Very quaint restaurant filled with locals. The rocket salad was amazing. However that is all I can recommend. The bread was dry, the tzatziki tasted like it came out of a can and the fried cod was filled with bones making it very difficult to eat and the inside butter was not cooked. Let's just say I left hungry.

Great taverna! It deserves 10 out of 10! Great food, delicious. We had a mix of sea and continental food, everything was delicious and more than that. Hosts are great, polite, knows what to recommend. Hygiene on the perfect level. Dried fish goes great with tsipuro, lamb ribs are just a music to your senses, tzatziki is... Grilled vegetables perfect! Whole experience is Perfect! Must visit!

Had to check out this place. Excellent atmosphere especially during Friday's with the female group band "serse la fam" that play old traditional Greek music and make an excellent companion to the great meal prepared by the staff.

A wonderful local Taverna, such a nice ambiente-with the most delicious food imaginable. A friend from Thessaloniki brought us here. If I should ever come back to Thessaloniki, I will come back here. Whoever reads this: go to Taverna O Thodoros, you will leave very happy. 😊💜🇬🇷

Typical taverna in the city center. The staff was super nice and gave us good advice. The food, mamma mia, was perfect. Completely fair prices and only locals. If I was living here, would be one of my personal favorites.

Unfortunately there were some inconveniences during our visit, but all-in-all a good restaurant with quality food. The waiters kinda forgot that we are present, so we had to wait around 40 minutes to make our order. 20-30 minutes after placing the order they said that one of our choices is not available. Anyway, things like this do happen and all the staff members we encountered were really kind, but late in the evening it was a bit unfortunate to wait much and after that not have the selected meal. Regarding the food, we enjoyed everything - grilled mushrooms and the baked feta were especially delicious. Prices are also honest, so no complains about it. Good atmosphere, place frequented by locals!

I lived in Greece for many years, and know what good Greek food should taste like. This simple taverna is fantastic. Try the fried kefalotiri with tomato marmalade. Spectacular. I've eaten there twice, and plan to go back tomorrow, my last night in Thessaloniki. Stuffed grape leaves, meatballs, salads are all great. Not using the Greek words here. I don't eat fish, so cannot comment on that. Prices are very reasonable. I've not eaten better Greek food anywhere.

Amazing food and service. They were so friendly and gave my toddler a book to keep him entertained while waiting for a dinner. All the food was delicious (salad, fish, squids, mushrooms). They even made a portion of fried potatoes for my toddler. We would visit them again but we found them the last evening in Thessaloniki.

We experienced an excellent service, good food and fair prices. The waiter is a funny, welcoming and honest guy, who shared with us some of the greek folklore. We ordered bougiourdi, pork souvlaki and pork steak. The food was tasty and the meat dishes were big and well prepared. The bulk wine was so good that we requested a refill. The place has a refined atmosphere, with historical vibes and quiet Greek music. We enjoyed it very much.

The waiter was exceptionally kind, helped us with recommendations of the greek cuisine and told stories after our dinner. The food was amazing and the portions were big enough for a big eater, while being very cheap as well. Best price-quality we’ve eaten in a long time!

We had a great vegetarian Greek dinner, the man who served us was really kind and helpful with our order. Even gave us local recommendations for visiting Ano Poli. Make sure to specify if you're veggie and they can recommend food.

I can really only say good things about this restaurant. The prices are super fair, the food is super delicious and the waiters are all very kind and just have fun doing their job. Also there is live music in the evening and you will get a dessert on the house as well. I really recommend going there, we went few days in a row and did not even consider eating somewhere else.

This is the most traditional, wonderful family-run taverna and the people here are beyond welcoming and amazing! We were blown away by their hospitality and how delicious the home-made food was. Would 100000/10 recommend.

This restaurant by faaaarrrrrr has the BEST food that I had in my ten days of holidays. Really tasty, you know when you visit your grandma and she knows how to pamper you with food..... that's the feeling. Very affordable prices as well and the waiter was very friendly, he does know how to give a great customer experience! Absolutely recommended, if you go to Thessaloniki no matter for how many days, YOU MUST stop here.
